About: Hi, I'm Leslie! This is my alternative option since my husband refused to allow me and adopt another fur baby 😅. I've had dogs my entire life. From the time I was a toddler, dogs have been a constant and beloved presence in my world. Growing up, my family always had at least one furry friend, and caring for them became second nature to me. I’ve owned dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and each one has taught me something new about love, patience, and responsibility. My daily routine includes long, enjoyable walks, playful training sessions, and careful grooming to keep my dogs healthy and happy. I understand the importance of personalized care and make sure to tailor my approach to meet each dog's unique needs and personality. My home is filled with love and laughter, with plenty of toys, cozy spots for naps, and, of course, lots of belly rubs. My lifelong experience with dogs has given me a deep understanding of their behavior and needs, ensuring they always feel safe, loved, and well-cared for. I genuinely love dogs and find immense joy in their companionship. If you’re looking for a reliable, passionate, and experienced dog sitter, I’d be thrilled to take care of your furry friend as if they were my own. MEET AND GREET REQUIRED Dogs MUST be vaccinated. I’m an elementary teacher who is off in the summer and looking to keep myself occupied during this long break at home. I’m home all day basically unless I run to the store. I live in a house with a big back yard where your fur babies can run around and enjoy nature! We will always have someone out there as well to make sure everything is okay.

Thanks for everything! The only way you could get the big dog out the door was to take the little one too. You went “above and beyond” what we asked. Can’t wait to book another walk for the week. 😁

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was a youngster. My family pets have always been treated like royalty and so will your pup! Honestly, I have realized that dogs are my therapy and I take great pride and comfort looking after fur babies. I work from home so my schedule will involve me being with your pup for the majority of the day. I like to go on morning and evening walks around the neighborhood. And for playtime breaks I like to play in my fenced backyard. Your pup with be all tired out from our activities :) I have a fenced yard and plenty of toys, treats, and puzzles to keep your senior dog or pup entertained while they are at my place.

About: About me: I have time & quality care to give to the pet(s) you love while walking or pet/house sitting because I'm an online college student. I have 22 years of dog, cat and other pet care experience to include pet walking, training, transporting, vet visits & pet/house sitting listed in detail below. I'm starting in the job field of Animal Behavior on completion of my college degree. My previous career of 21 years was in oceanography, & I look forward to giving your pet the love and attention they deserve. Experience in DOG CARE: In the last 22 years, on the side of my regular job, I have been trusted by family, friends and new clients via word of mouth to pet sit for canines of all sorts to include senior dogs, dogs with cancer, high energy dogs, shy and nervous dogs, a Great Dane, puppies and multi-pet households. Experience in CAT CARE: I've been cat sitting for 21 years for senior cats, cats with diabetes, cats with swimmer’s syndrome, one cat in a wheelchair, shy cats, active cats, multi-pet households, hairless cats, indoor/outdoor cats, indoor only cats, outdoor only cats & kittens. ADDITIONAL PET CARE: I also have 22 years' pet sitting experience with other pets such as hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, fresh water fish, turtles, geese and pigs. In my free time, I've rescued, rehabilitated, trained, fostered and been a pet owner to both dogs and cats in Texas, Virginia, California, Hawaii, Spain and the Kingdom of Bahrain. I have also volunteered at animal rescue and no-kill shelters in all of those places as follows: Humane Society, PAWS of Texas, Hawai'i Bird Rescue, Hawai'i Marine Animal Response, Rota Animal Welfare League Spain, and Bahrain SPCA. I am available for walking, pet/house sitting, pet care, vet visits, pet transportation and moving because I'm a full-time online university student. I have my own reliable transportation to come to you, but I do not have the availability to board animals in my residence at this time. My goal is to keep your pet(s) in their routine with the same worry-free, stress-free care as you have set up for them for walking, pet/house sitting, pet care, vet visits, pet transportation or moving. I have my own reliable transportation to come to you. I offer pet transportation in my own vehicle as well, but I do not have boarding facilities available at this time.

About: Hi! I’m a dependable, caring, and attentive sitter who truly enjoys being around animals and creating a safe, calm environment for them. I currently stay at home with my baby, which means your pet will get lots of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day, they’ll never feel alone or neglected. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I have a gentle, hypoallergenic dog at home who is very friendly and well behaved, so I’m comfortable managing multiple pets and making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I’m happy to accommodate different personalities, energy levels, and routines, whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, or just a peaceful place to relax. What you can expect from me: • A clean, safe, and pet-friendly home • Lots of attention, affection, and supervision • Flexibility with scheduling when possible • Clear communication and updates while you’re away I treat every pet like they’re my own and aim to make their time with me as stress-free and happy as possible. Feel free to reach out with any questions, I’d love to meet you and your pet! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine since I’m home most of the day with my baby. I’m able to provide consistent potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention throughout the day. Pets are rarely left alone and are always supervised. I follow a calm, structured routine and can easily adjust to your pet’s specific needs, energy level, and schedule. Caring for pets is a natural part of my day, not something I squeeze in. I provide a safe, calm, and fully supervised environment for every pet. In my home, I keep a clean, pet-friendly space and only take a small number of dogs so each one gets plenty of attention. I’m careful with introductions and always prioritize safety and comfort. Pets get regular potty breaks, playtime, and a routine that matches what they’re used to at home. I’m happy to follow any feeding schedules, crate routines, or special instructions. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and stick closely to your pet’s normal routine to keep things familiar and stress free.

About: *If you would like me to do multiple 30 minute vists or walks, please book drops ins/walks. If you book house sitting please be aware it’s only one visit per day and I do not stay over night at a clients home* Hello, my name is Courtney and I’m your pets new best friend! I’ve always been told I have a “way” with animals and it has helped me create an understanding of them, their behavior and psychology. I was fortunate enough to be raised in a household with multiple dogs, cats and even exotics. The care and well being of animals is something I’ve been passionate about my entire life. In the future I’d like to go into the animal care or behavioral field so I’m trying to get as much experience in with as many different animals as possible! Special needs/seniors/etc are not a problem for me. I can guarantee that I will treat your dogs (or cats) with the same love and respect I show my own pack.

For the most part, I can be available whenever you need me, even if it happens to be last minute. I have my reliable transportation, so getting to and from your location will never be a problem. I am fully comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I am very gentle with all pets and animals. thank you! I am currently unemployed, apart from taking a few online summer classes, so I am usually always available during the week and on most weekends. About: I have taken care of dogs all my life from all size ranges from long-haired Chihuahuas to German shepherds! I love getting to know their personality, as well as paying attention to the details of what the owner instructs … This is very important to me because I know how I would like my animals and kids to be taken care of when I relinquish care to another while on trips… I try my best to do the same for others and give lots of updates (with pictures ) as well. I will make sure that your pet is well fed, and has water and pay attention to any urges has a present themselves. Currently, I work from home Full-time and I have a career where I can write my own schedule… So that means I am able to take breaks and walk your doggy whenever needs be! I have a large two bedroom apartment on the first floor, so I have very easy access to outdoors. I also have lots of lighting and a patio So that dogs can walk in and out as they please to get some fresh Air (If owner is comfortable with that) I can also grab any treats and etc. from the nearby grocery store if you need for your dog! I am definitely open to bathing them as well. My four year old loves animals and cares for them so gently.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
