Rachel is amazing! We had some issues with an older dog and she really went the extra mile for us. Lots of updates and videos were sent. It was comforting to know that someone so special was taking care of our animals while we were away on vacation. Highly recommend! We look forward to using her again when we travel.

So I really loved at first that Rachel made an effort to meet my animals before taking care of them, but she watches several animals at a time and does Instacart/doordash ( not sure which one or both ) at the same time she’s watching your animal. I am very type B and require literally nothing other than a full water jug which I explained before that she needed to fill it when she got there because I was going to be gone for so long, that they couldn’t go in my bedroom, that their litter/ pee pads needed to changed, and that a weight needs to be placed in front of the kitchen cabinet because the cats get into it at night. I paid her starting 9/3, and she didn’t get there till 4 the next day which is fine because I told her it was, but she sent me a picture of them saying she was playing with them and they were just on their cat tree- and I noticed the water next to them was near empty. She texted me the next morning and told me she forgot about the kitchen cabinet and that they got into it. I was frustrated but let it go as it was one mistake. We came home 3 days later and she informed me that while she was showering, she heard them getting into “antics” , but because she was showering she didn’t get out to check and figured it was fine. She said they got into some treats. After she left, I looked under the cupboard and the cats chewed through an entire bag of food, wipes, and medicinal treats that they cannot have a lot of. She told me they were having wet poops from the pantry incident, but conveniently left out that they got into all of these other things until 3 days later- which was likely the cause of the poops. I also got in my shower to see her view point of where they got into everything, and it is clearly visible from the shower, I mean RIGHT NEXT TO IT, where they got into everything. So it was either they got into it when she wasn’t there and she lied, or like she said she was showering and watched them dig into it but didn’t do anything about it. It takes a long time to chew through 3 different bags of things. The cats also peed all over the bathroom from distress and she did not inform me of that. Every bathroom mat was soaked in pee to the point where my husband picked it up and it was dripping. My cats don’t do that normally, not with any other sitter I’ve had before. She also informed me that they got into my bedroom, the only other thing I told her not to let them do. It was a pretty easy job, and every rule I set was not followed. She didn’t even know where the litter was when I got home, and I messaged her about my concerns and instead of taking responsibility, she got very defensive and said “ I didn’t do or say any of that,I’m sorry you feel that way”. I called several friends and family members to explain what happened with photo evidence, and they all said I need to cancel the remainder of the booking. My husband and I set this up months prior to our marriage so we could relax and enjoy our honeymoon, and it ended up causing extreme stress with only 24 hours to find someone else to watch our cats for 2 weeks. I have a 17 year old friend watching them now, and they have not peed, not gone into my bedroom, nor gotten into anything they are not supposed to since she’s been there, and I wasn’t even physically there to show her around. I hate leaving a negative review, and would normally just not say anything, but I don’t want someone else to experience a frantic stress like me and my husband did on a day that was supposed to be blissful for us.

Had a great experience this was my first time using rover and I really dont like leaving my dogs but she was great got pictures and many updates really pleased with the stay
