“This was our first time, but definitely not last, using Heather for our drop-in visits for our Westie Pear, with LOTS of westitude, and they hit it off. Heather did a great job following our instructions and cautionary advise, while dealing with wet weather and muddy paws. Pearl and Heather are now long time buddies.”

“Janice did a great job looking in on my cat Max when I had to go out of town for a week. She sent daily photos of Max being brushed, being fed and the condition of the litter box. The cost was very reasonable. I will have no hesitation booking her again.”

“Zoila is truly amazing! She came over the week before our trip to meet the cats and learn all the in and outs of taking care of them. We had a kitten and she required a lot of special care and Zoila had no problems managing it. She is super responsive and sends frequent updates. I felt so comfortable with my cats in her care. We will most definitely being using Zoila again!”

“Ashley is amazing! Booked her to check-in on our four cats and we received so many pictures and great updates. Loved to photoshoots! I could also tell our shy cat warmed up to her immediately. Will book Ashley for pet care again!”

“Lindsey was everything we could hope for in a sitter for our first time using one. Peanut was not ready for boarding. He is slow to warm up. She was extra patient with him and spent extra time the 1st day. He was warming up much better each day. He had a couple of accidents and she helped clean it up. She did not have to be as caring as she was, but we are most grateful and will continue to call on her. Thank you for everything Lindsey! We could tell Peanut really appreciated your visits.”

“Lizzie took such good care of our two pups while we were on vacation. We have never left them for more than 4 hours, so being away for a week was a very fearful concern. Ollie and Opie feel in love with Lizzie and we really enjoyed the pictures from her visits. We will definitely reach out to Lizzie next time. Thank you Lizzie”

“This was my first time using Rover. I was dog-sitting my 3 grand dogs and needed to be gone for extended periods on 2 days where I wanted someone to come in and let them out and play with dogs for a bit. My sister suggested using Rover. I found Kenzie and she had a lot of great reviews. When I contacted Kenzie, she responded almost immediately. I had a lot of questions and she answered them which made me feel comfortable. Kenzie sent lots of pics while she was here and the dogs seemed to love her. I would definitely use her again.”

“Marshall was great! Booked with short notice over the holidays and he showed up every day for our kitty. Really appreciated the photos and updates. Highly recommended.”

“Nithimas was an amazing pet sitter for our cat Rocky (our baby boy)! She made sure he was fed, ate, clean water and litter. And best of all she played with him, which meant a lot to us because he never felt alone. Thank you so much!! We will definitely request you again when we go on vacation. ❤️ Olga and Brandon”

“Zach was wonderful! He took great care of Miss Churro and even went above and beyond bringing in some large boxes that were delivered when I was away! Definitely recommend him for puppies or any pets!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Parker
Sophia was super nice and easy to communicate with, due to last minute changes of plans I was unable to schedule a visit with her before I met (though she did offer). I sent her some details about how to navigate getting to the residence and care instructions for my cat and she took great care of her and sent me lots of photos. Would recommend scheduling her in the future for myself and others.
Zoila took on our cat sitting booking on fairly short notice and it went perfectly! She was a great communicator and made sure to clarify any questions she had about the cat's feeding schedule. We also had a few random mishaps around the apartment that she very kindly handled for us so we weren't stressed out about it while we were out of town . I would highly recommend her!

Izzy was incredible! She went above and beyond. This was the first time using rover and couldn’t be happier. Having a senior kitty who needs medicine is always nerve wracking but she handled it so well. All the updates made a difference and I would recommend her to anyone.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
