“Lindsey was everything we could hope for in a sitter for our first time using one. Peanut was not ready for boarding. He is slow to warm up. She was extra patient with him and spent extra time the 1st day. He was warming up much better each day. He had a couple of accidents and she helped clean it up. She did not have to be as caring as she was, but we are most grateful and will continue to call on her. Thank you for everything Lindsey! We could tell Peanut really appreciated your visits.”

“Ashley is amazing! Booked her to check-in on our four cats and we received so many pictures and great updates. Loved to photoshoots! I could also tell our shy cat warmed up to her immediately. Will book Ashley for pet care again!”

“Timothy was the BEST cat sitter ever! We loved getting daily pictures and updates, and had so much peace of mind knowing our kitties were in good hands and getting love and attention while we were gone. Will definitely be requesting his services again! :)”

“Kellie was so great with Milo! She came to meet him ahead of time and get a clear understanding of his needs. She was very reliable, communicated effectively, and shared such cute pictures!”

“Samantha is GREAT!! ? She visited our cats and fish over the Christmas holiday. There was unexpected water damage to our unit from a pipe that burst in another unit and she was so great about letting us know the damage while we were gone and truly went above and beyond to send us pictures and make sure our pets were okay. We will be using her again for sure!”

“Zoila is great. She takes excellent care of pets, keeps awesome communication, and is super attentive and accommodating. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants great care for their pets!”

“Kenya was very sweet with our dogs and they took to her right away. She was willing to drive out to our place to help. When we had a miscommunication, she was very responsive and took great care of the dogs. Thank you!”

These past 4 years especially, I have started pet sitting for friends and family alike. I can walk, bathe, and play with dogs. I also know how to administer medication, if needed. I am a big lover of animals. Any animal under my care is automatically going to be treated with the utmost care. I am currently on summer break from my college classes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saint Paul. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
