“Lisa has been kind enough to watch Leonard on the days I have to go into the office. When I picked him up the first day, he was calm and not at all stressed. She treats him as if he is her own and he feels a lot more comfortable being in a home setting rather than at a doggy daycare. Lisa made sure he was fed at the appropriate times and took him outside when he wanted. Very thankful I’ve found someone caring to watch him.”

“Madison was great and very professional. She helped Medusa get comfortable and meet other dogs as she is working on socializing. Madison have an update which was great and put me at ease.”

“My dog Jake had a great time with Jer and his lab Maggie. Jer and his wife had a very peaceful quality about them, and I could tell that Jake was comfortable the moment we walked in. This was a trial test/meetup for a longer booking later this summer and I would say it was a great success!”

About: Connecting with a dog is special. I find it easier to do once I've given a good ear scratch and a few massages! I've cared for and loved on my family's cocker spaniels and golden retrievers as I grew up. I was able to adopt my own fur baby as a young adult and now I have a mixed breed that gets all the love. Up until now, I've offered my friends and family dog care and boarding but now I am ready to offer trustworthy care to you as well! I have been working from home for 9 years! I also homeschool my daughter (age 9). We spend most of our days at home. Together we care for our dog Brownie! The most used door in my house is the back door! My yard is fenced and includes a large covered patio. You can usually find me inside sitting by the window or outside in a rocking chair.
About: I have had pets all my life and grew up on a farm so I love all animals. I believe that they should be spoiled with lots of love and attention. I never met a pet I didn't like. I work part time from home so I have a lot of extra time to play and love on your pet. Also take daily walks if weather permits. I have a good sized fenced yard, two dogs and a cat to play with your pet. If the pet wants to rest they are good at leaving them alone too.

“Pinto’s first time with Jingyi and Pinto enjoyed every moment. She updated us all day like a child first day in school. We did not miss a moment. She is dog person as I’ve ever met. Already booking for several longer stays. Thank you Jingyi, you’re awesome.”

About: I love all dogs and all dogs love me. I can’t imagine what life would be like without them. I’ll take good care of your pets and give them lots of love and affection. I love being around all dogs and cats. It’s hard to find someone who will take care of them like you want. I can do that for you. I have a very small fenced in yard but I take my dogs for a walk every day to get sunshine and exercise. I can do that for you too.
“Rini is so sweet and patient with my large shephard mix dog, Macaroni. Her dog and Mac played all day and Mac was tuckered out when we got home. Rini has a large home and a great backyard that is perfect for larger dogs. If you need a fantastic sitter for your 60lb+ dog, then look no further than Rini!! ☺️”

About: Well, most & foremost I transport pets not just dogs/cats across the United States from a person buying it from a pet store or a friend, etc to their destination of choice w/my set price. I also have my certificate in USDA for pets that I’ll upload in pictures. Moving forward I’ve walked dogs, bathe a cat & dog, was a pet sitter for cats/dogs and puppies. Am very good at communicating & reading/following my clients notes when it comes to food time/preparation or anything relatable to your lovable pet. SN: am very good at belly rubs if your animal loves that since that’s an all time favorite thing for puppies or cats period 😁 Am currently self-employed working on my terms so the time needed to cater/care for a client pet is a blessing to me. I prefer weekdays the most but wouldn’t mind a weekend for some pet attention😃 my availability will be open on ALL days unless something comes up unexpectedly but am a reasonable person w/others times/days etc. I currently help/ take care of my sons father female American bully whom I love. She’s very very smart & alert. So therefore, if I welcome/get that opportunity for a new pet into my home for boarding etc pls believe am treating him/her w/all the love possible. Pet toys & pet food isn’t a problem to me either you can provide your own but am very willing and can accommodate as well on my end.

I work from home so our family is always home to take care of your animal and give them the attention they need and deserve. I have a high fenced yard. Our dog, Indie, plus kids love playing with all dogs. Our kids love cuddling and treating your dog like their own.
“They were awesome and our dogs loved it. Very thankful for being able to accommodate us in a last minute notice since we just moved to the area and needed a place for our dogs to spend the day while the movers were gonna be at our house. Will definitely send our dogs again and definitely recommend”

“Wonderful and patient. Frankie had a great time. Thank you being able to watch Frankie last minute. Would definitely use her services again and recommend to others. Frankie was so happy and she updated me often which I appreciated!”

“From our meet-and-greet to the first actual stay, my dog *loved* being at Jason's! He and his wife are kind, love dogs, have a great house setup for doggy day care. My dog can be anxious in new settings, especially if I leave him, but he did great! As Jason said, "couldn't have gone better." I am SO grateful to have found him and will definitely be using their services a lot in the future. I'd give them 10 stars if I could ;)”

“I appreciate Sam and their family so much for taking such awesome care of my puppy while I was away! From the start, I felt totally comfortable leaving her with them. When I picked her up, she was so happy and full of energy. Clearly, she had a great time! She came back nice and content, i can tell she was also well fed. All her stuff was neatly packed and clean, including her leash and bed. Sam and their family were super sweet and kept us updated with pictures and videos every day. They also made sure to check in with us about anything they were unsure of. It’s clear they really love animals and treat them like their own. I’m so grateful for their care and will definitely be using Sam’s services again. I highly recommend them if you need great pet care!”

“Totally awesome and very nice. Her dog was super nice and friendly and had no issues with my energetic pup. When I picked him up on the first day they were in the really big back yard rolling around in the grass. My dog loves running and rolling so he was super happy. She sent out lots of photos and gave great updates during the day. She was able to work with me on times and was free on short notice. I will definitely rebook. I recommend her if your pup is a ball of energy and likes to play with other dogs like mine.”
About: Hi, I’m Eloise! I bring hands-on experience across pet boarding facilities, vet centers, bathing salons, fostering, and personal pet care, along with a military background built on structure, discipline, and accountability. Rover increased their prices so they are now taking an extra 10% from us. Sorry if we have to raise prices. I’ve worked in multiple states and helped manage boarding environments firsthand, so I understand what actually works and what fails behind the scenes. I don’t cut corners, and I don’t stay quiet when care isn’t being done right. Your pet’s safety always comes first. I’ve cared for high-energy puppies, senior dogs, anxious rescues, and independent cats. I’m confident handling most medications and pets with unique or detailed needs. I also have strong experience with reactivity. I rescued my own dog 3.5 years ago with severe reactivity and no socialization, and successfully trained her into a stable, manageable dog. Since 2022, I’ve fostered dogs and cats and actively work on behavior and training while they’re in my care. My schedule is flexible depending on your pet’s needs. I offer walks, drop-ins, and in-home care with consistency and structure. I’m partnered with a trusted boarding home in Dallas (75252), so I can offer boarding and daycare options for dog friendly, crate trained pets if needed. If you have a specific routine or timing your pet is used to, I do my best to match it closely. I have drill weekend once a month. I understand pet care is not one size fits all. Every pet is different, and I adjust my approach based on their behavior, comfort level, and routine. I follow your instructions exactly, meals, walks, medications, habits, and boundaries. Consistency matters, especially for anxious or reactive pets. I keep environments calm, structured, and clean. I pay attention to behavior changes, stress signals, and safety at all times. You’ll receive regular updates, so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is for you to feel confident and not have to worry while you’re away.

“Our puppy River literally did not want to leave after his day with Cheryl. I could tell immediately when dropping River off that he would be in the hands of a caring and experienced dog loving person. Cheryl is a top-notch dog sitter!”

“River had such a fun day with Jane, Prince, Choco and Dragon! From the minute I dropped River off, it was evident that Jane loves dogs and has a great rapport with them. Jane sent photos throughout the day that reassured me that our energetic Cavapoo was settling right in. He played with her dogs, took a walk and even explored a large field on a long leash. River came home tired and happy! Jane has my enthusiastic recommendation as a caring, conscientious dog sitter.”

About: Welcome to The Canine Cottage! If you're looking for a boarding experience where your dog will be treated like family, you've come to the right place :) I've been a dog owner for more than 20 years and have cared for dogs through every stage of life—from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing specialized care. Over the years, I've also served as a foster home for dog rescue organizations, providing temporary housing for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. Dogs have always been an important part of our family's life. As a homeschooling, stay-at-home mom of five children (ages 4–14), our home is filled with activity, companionship, and plenty of people who genuinely love spending time with dogs. We are home throughout the day, allowing us to provide the attention, supervision, and interaction many dogs don't receive in traditional boarding environments. At The Canine Cottage, we offer a premium home-away-from-home boarding experience. Rather than spending most of the day in a kennel, your dog will enjoy being part of our daily family life. They'll have plenty of opportunities for play, affection, enrichment, outdoor time, and relaxation. Our goal is to make your dog's stay feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you're away. As dog owners ourselves, we understand how difficult it can be to leave a beloved pet behind. That's why we've created the kind of boarding experience we always look for when we travel—one where dogs are welcomed into a loving home, receive individualized attention, and are treated as family members. We can't wait to meet you and your furry family member! Your Dog Will Feel Like Part of the Family! As a stay-at-home mom, with a husband who works from home and children who are homeschooled, someone is almost always home. That means your dog won't spend hours alone or confined to a kennel. Instead, they'll enjoy plenty of companionship, attention, and time as part of our daily family life. Our guests enjoy two daily walks, supervised playtime, and the freedom to move between our home and secure backyard throughout the day. We believe dogs are happiest when they're treated like family, and that's exactly the experience we strive to provide. A Safe, Comfortable Home Designed for Dogs Our home sits on one-third of an acre and features a spacious backyard with plenty of room to run, play, and explore. The yard is fully enclosed with an 8-foot board-on-board privacy fence and an auto-closing gate, providing a secure environment for every guest. Your dog's safety is our highest priority. Upon arrival, each boarding guest is fitted with an Apple AirTag attached to their collar as an added layer of security and peace of mind. Inside, dogs are treated like family. They have the freedom to relax and roam throughout the downstairs of our home rather than spending their day in a kennel. Crates are used only for sleeping, quiet time, or if your dog is already crate-trained and finds comfort in one. Overnight, they rest in a quiet room located just steps from our primary bedroom, so they're never far from us. Every dog is unique, and we love getting to know each guest's routine. Whether it's mealtime preferences, favorite walking pace, play style, bedtime habits, or special quirks, we'll do our best to recreate the comforts of home so your dog feels safe, relaxed, and loved throughout their stay.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Saint Paul commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
