“Lisa has been kind enough to watch Leonard on the days I have to go into the office. When I picked him up the first day, he was calm and not at all stressed. She treats him as if he is her own and he feels a lot more comfortable being in a home setting rather than at a doggy daycare. Lisa made sure he was fed at the appropriate times and took him outside when he wanted. Very thankful I’ve found someone caring to watch him.”

“Madison was great and very professional. She helped Medusa get comfortable and meet other dogs as she is working on socializing. Madison have an update which was great and put me at ease.”

“My dog Jake had a great time with Jer and his lab Maggie. Jer and his wife had a very peaceful quality about them, and I could tell that Jake was comfortable the moment we walked in. This was a trial test/meetup for a longer booking later this summer and I would say it was a great success!”

About: Connecting with a dog is special. I find it easier to do once I've given a good ear scratch and a few massages! I've cared for and loved on my family's cocker spaniels and golden retrievers as I grew up. I was able to adopt my own fur baby as a young adult and now I have a mixed breed that gets all the love. Up until now, I've offered my friends and family dog care and boarding but now I am ready to offer trustworthy care to you as well! I have been working from home for 9 years! I also homeschool my daughter (age 9). We spend most of our days at home. Together we care for our dog Brownie! The most used door in my house is the back door! My yard is fenced and includes a large covered patio. You can usually find me inside sitting by the window or outside in a rocking chair.
About: Hi! I’m an experienced pet sitter who’s cared for many different dog breeds, big and small. I have a secure yard, offer overnight stays, and love taking dogs on long walks no matter how many hours they need! I’m great at keeping pups happy and active, and I always keep their owners updated with regular check-ins and photos. Your pet will be in safe, loving hands with me! I provide full-time care for dogs of all breeds and sizes. During the day, I make sure your pup stays happy, active, and comfortable. We go on multiple walks (as long as needed!), enjoy playtime in my yard, take breaks for cuddles and rest, and stick to any feeding or medication schedules you provide. I also offer overnight care and keep you updated with regular check-ins, photos, and messages so you always know how your dog is doing. Your pet’s well-being and happiness are my top priority every day! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, their safety and comfort come first. My home is dog-friendly with a secure yard for safe outdoor play and potty breaks. I maintain a clean, calm environment with plenty of space for rest, play, and cuddles. When I’m in a client’s home, I treat it with the same respect I give my own. I stick to your pet’s routine, ensure they feel comfortable in their space, and provide plenty of one-on-one attention. I closely monitor pets at all times and never leave them unsupervised in unfamiliar situations. I also keep in touch with regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: I've taken care of my own and friends dogs! I love giving dogs the best care and love especially when their owners are gone. Having dogs I know how precious they are and knowing you want them to have the best care and snuggles. I make sure that your mind is at ease while you are away to enjoy your time and your pups get a vacation as well! Getting pictures and notes just to know they are ok is always nice! I am always open to additional requests to put pet parents at ease. I currently work from home full time. So I am available and have plenty of time to play. We also have a very large yard and walking areas. In the summer we have a pool if they enjoy that as well. I have a fenced yard and two dogs to keep yours company while you're away. They love to run around and swim in our pool. I work from home so I'm at the house to let them out.
About: I have had pets all my life and grew up on a farm so I love all animals. I believe that they should be spoiled with lots of love and attention. I never met a pet I didn't like. I work part time from home so I have a lot of extra time to play and love on your pet. Also take daily walks if weather permits. I have a good sized fenced yard, two dogs and a cat to play with your pet. If the pet wants to rest they are good at leaving them alone too.
“Totally awesome and very nice. Her dog was super nice and friendly and had no issues with my energetic pup. When I picked him up on the first day they were in the really big back yard rolling around in the grass. My dog loves running and rolling so he was super happy. She sent out lots of photos and gave great updates during the day. She was able to work with me on times and was free on short notice. I will definitely rebook. I recommend her if your pup is a ball of energy and likes to play with other dogs like mine.”
About: Hi! I'm Kay - a natural animal lover with real experience that goes way beyond basic pet sitting. I've cared for a whole courtyard full of cats and dogs, raised my own pup Lani from a baby (and my current dog), and even looked after bunnies, turtles, and chinchillas. Animals have always been a part of my life, and I treat every pet like family. What sets me apart? I'm intuitive, gentle, and adaptable to each animal's vibe. Whether I'm staying in your home or welcoming pets into mine, I make sure they feel safe, loved, and seen. I send updates, follow your routine to a T, and always keep things clean and calm. From cuddles to chaos-I've got it covered! I'm a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule, so I'm at home the majority of the day-perfect for giving pets the attention , love, and consistency they need. My toddler is already used to being around animals, behaves well around them, and I always make sure pets have a calm, safe space to relax or be snuggled. Since I'm also building my small business from home, I plan my work around pets I care for. Whether it's daily walks, play breaks, feeding times, or just being there for companionship, your pet won't be left alone or ignored. They become part of our little daily rhythm here! Whether I'm walking your dog, watching your home, or caring for your pets in either space, I take safety and trust serioiusly. I follow your exact care instructions, maintain routines, and stay alert to your pet's body language and needs. I always double check gates, doors, and leashes-no risks, no shortcuts. When I'm house sitting I treat your home with respect and care-keeping it clean, secure, and peaceful for your pets. If I'm walking your pup, I avoid unsafe areas, steer clear of other dogs unless you've approved it, and make the walk enjoyable, not rushed. Your pets are safe, your home is respected, and you'll always stay updated!
“This was my first time leaving my pup away from home and with other people— I am so glad he was with Rini and her husband! They sent wonderful photos throughout the day and I could see that my pup felt happy and right at home. Thank you Rini!”

About: Well, most & foremost I transport pets not just dogs/cats across the United States from a person buying it from a pet store or a friend, etc to their destination of choice w/my set price. I also have my certificate in USDA for pets that I’ll upload in pictures. Moving forward I’ve walked dogs, bathe a cat & dog, was a pet sitter for cats/dogs and puppies. Am very good at communicating & reading/following my clients notes when it comes to food time/preparation or anything relatable to your lovable pet. SN: am very good at belly rubs if your animal loves that since that’s an all time favorite thing for puppies or cats period 😁 Am currently self-employed working on my terms so the time needed to cater/care for a client pet is a blessing to me. I prefer weekdays the most but wouldn’t mind a weekend for some pet attention😃 my availability will be open on ALL days unless something comes up unexpectedly but am a reasonable person w/others times/days etc. I currently help/ take care of my sons father female American bully whom I love. She’s very very smart & alert. So therefore, if I welcome/get that opportunity for a new pet into my home for boarding etc pls believe am treating him/her w/all the love possible. Pet toys & pet food isn’t a problem to me either you can provide your own but am very willing and can accommodate as well on my end.
About: I love all dogs and all dogs love me. I can’t imagine what life would be like without them. I’ll take good care of your pets and give them lots of love and affection. I love being around all dogs and cats. It’s hard to find someone who will take care of them like you want. I can do that for you. I have a very small fenced in yard but I take my dogs for a walk every day to get sunshine and exercise. I can do that for you too.

“10/10 recommended! Kiyo stayed with Jingyi for a day while I was away. Jingyi sent me photos of Kiyo throughout the day and I am 100% sure Kiyo also had fun with the other dogs running and playing in their backyard.”

“Rhys loved all the attention and playing with all the other dogs. I loved the pictures through out the day and how accommodating she was with my ever change schedule”

“I appreciate Sam and their family so much for taking such awesome care of my puppy while I was away! From the start, I felt totally comfortable leaving her with them. When I picked her up, she was so happy and full of energy. Clearly, she had a great time! She came back nice and content, i can tell she was also well fed. All her stuff was neatly packed and clean, including her leash and bed. Sam and their family were super sweet and kept us updated with pictures and videos every day. They also made sure to check in with us about anything they were unsure of. It’s clear they really love animals and treat them like their own. I’m so grateful for their care and will definitely be using Sam’s services again. I highly recommend them if you need great pet care!”

“From our meet-and-greet to the first actual stay, my dog *loved* being at Jason's! He and his wife are kind, love dogs, have a great house setup for doggy day care. My dog can be anxious in new settings, especially if I leave him, but he did great! As Jason said, "couldn't have gone better." I am SO grateful to have found him and will definitely be using their services a lot in the future. I'd give them 10 stars if I could ;)”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Saint Paul commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,602 sitters in Saint Paul, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
