“Kellie was able to be a dog whisperer with my little pups! She wore them out and loved on them in the best ways possible during her stay at my home. She communicated well and was reliable and respectful throughout her stay. I adored working with her and will certainly enlist her services again!”

About: I’ve had cats, dogs, bunnies, chickens, etc. my entire life, I’d like to say that I have my whole life’s worth of experience with pets, being that I have had them since before I could walk:)) I’m currently going to community college part-time, usually based in the mornings but can change. Other than school I am always free to do the job!! I will give your pets plenty of love and cuddles while also adapting to their daily needs and activities. I can even brush your dogs’ teeth if you’d like.

“London was great! She was extremely responsive, respectful and flexible. She took great care of Dogman, sent picture updates and made sure we stayed informed. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Ella stayed with our 2 dogs in our home for a few nights and did a wonderful job from start to finish. She communicated very professionally before, during, and after the stay. She provided daily and detailed updates with pictures. One of our dogs generally shows signs of anxiety after we get home from a trip, but that hasn't been the case this time. Ella made sure that when she did leave the house during her stay, it wasn't for more than 8 hours per our request to ensure the dogs had their necessary bathroom breaks. It's very clear that Ella takes good care of the pets she is watching, as if they are her own. We will absolutely be booking with Ella again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone else considering her.”

About: I have been a professional dog groomer and bather for a year now, but I’ve been working and playing with dogs and animals my whole entire life so I pretty much know the drill of animal care!, I’d love to help with anything you furry friend have to offer. I am available from 10AM- 10pm to work with your schedule. Please no last minute planning since that can throw off others availability throughout the week, Thank you! A dog is basically a furry four-legged child:), you’re not paying for someone to give your dog food and water, you’re paying for your dog to have a friend and love around the house when you sometimes can’t be there. And I understand<3
“Having to be away from my 16 yr old mini schnauzer is so stressful for me . However, once I met Marta & she shared her own experience she had when her 19 yr old fur baby passed away , a weight was lifted from my shoulders. She had more experience caring for a senior dog than I have . She kept me updated on Bailey & assured me that he was doing well . I was able to enjoy my time away from home . I will not hesitate to reschedule her again !”

About: I have 2 cats of my own and helped take care of a past 21 1/2 old cat my family had until 3 years ago. Cuddling and playing with cats bring me so much enjoy. My fiancé Sammie is a dog specialist. She handles the dog walking and dog care. She was raised around dogs, and dog sat in her childhood. I have a fenced yard that both of my cats go out and play and relax. My cats roam everywhere in the house and can curl up anywhere. I work part-time but will definitely make the time to take care of your babies. Other than that I have plenty of time to snuggle, cuddle, or play with your fur babies. My cats will go outside into a fenced off yard and while they are outside will keep an eye on them. I won’t force your animals to do anything with me but if they want to play or go outside (if that is allowed) I will happily do so.
“Kyle was a fantastic dog-sitter! He was on-time, attentive, and quick to respond when booking a meet'n'greet, and the official date of his stay. He took great care of our dogs, and was very good about sending pictures and updates during his stay. We will definitely plan to book him again in the future!!!”
About: I worked in an animal daycare and also volunteer at animal shelters. I know how to clean and take care of all sorts and sizes of animals. I also know how to care and love them. I currently work a part-time job with a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time for pet care throughout the week. With a couple days’ notice, I can usually adjust my schedule to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feeding times, and overnight care. I am happy to work with each pet’s normal routine! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions provided by owners and make sure pets are supervised, secure, and comfortable at all times. I understand that every pet has a different personality and routine, so I am patient and allow them time to become comfortable with me. I will give your pets plenty of attention, love, and care while keeping you updated during your time away.
“Kaitlin is a fantastic dog sitter! She kept in touch with my roommate while I was in Australia, which I really appreciated. She took great care of both my dog and our home! I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in such great hands.”

“Juno had an amazing stay, and I couldn't be happier with the care she received. It was clear she was treated with kindness, attention, and plenty of love, and we felt completely at ease while we were away. We received great updates throughout the stay, and came home to a happy, healthy, and relaxed dog. We would absolutely book with Wilson again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy Rover sitter.”

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kristie! She took absolutely incredible care of our three dogs and treated them like they were her own. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were not only safe and well cared for, but genuinely loved while we were away. Kristie also looked after our home with the same level of care and attention. Everything was spotless and exactly as we left it when we returned. On top of that, she was unbelievably flexible and accommodating when our travel plans changed at the last minute. She handled everything with professionalism, kindness, and zero stress. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and truly compassionate to care for your pets and home, Kristie is the absolute best. We would recommend her without hesitation and can’t wait to book her again!”

About: Well, most & foremost I transport pets not just dogs/cats across the United States from a person buying it from a pet store or a friend, etc to their destination of choice w/my set price. I also have my certificate in USDA for pets that I’ll upload in pictures. Moving forward I’ve walked dogs, bathe a cat & dog, was a pet sitter for cats/dogs and puppies. Am very good at communicating & reading/following my clients notes when it comes to food time/preparation or anything relatable to your lovable pet. SN: am very good at belly rubs if your animal loves that since that’s an all time favorite thing for puppies or cats period 😁 Am currently self-employed working on my terms so the time needed to cater/care for a client pet is a blessing to me. I prefer weekdays the most but wouldn’t mind a weekend for some pet attention😃 my availability will be open on ALL days unless something comes up unexpectedly but am a reasonable person w/others times/days etc. I currently help/ take care of my sons father female American bully whom I love. She’s very very smart & alert. So therefore, if I welcome/get that opportunity for a new pet into my home for boarding etc pls believe am treating him/her w/all the love possible. Pet toys & pet food isn’t a problem to me either you can provide your own but am very willing and can accommodate as well on my end.
“Kiana is amazing with my very shy dog and takes wonderful care of my pack. I highly recommend her bc her vet clinic background. She is literally prepared to handle any issue that can come up.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Kayla. She takes amazing care of our two dogs and goes above and beyond to make sure they’re well cared for while always keeping us in the loop.”

“Devyn was so good with our crazy Goldendoodle, Cooper. He doesn’t have the best manners when people come over (he likes to jump on everyone) and she handled that so well. Cooper recently lost his fur sibling and is use to his regular sitter, but Devyn made him so comfortable and he was very happy to see her when she came back to watch him (we did a meet and greet) She is so incredibly sweet and can be trusted to care for your pet/s.”

Genevieve did a great job dog sitting my two standard poodles the week I was out of town. She was responsive, sent picture updates throughout my time away. I was happy with how active with walks, trails, parks she kept up with them! Would definitely book with her again.

Kylee truly went above and beyond! She cared for my dog and my home as if they were her own and she took the time to understand my dog’s specific needs and routines. I’m incredibly grateful for her dedication and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional, trustworthy care!

Stefanie was absolutely wonderful and incredibly patient with my dog, Pilot. I don’t trust many people with him since he’s older and a bit finicky, and very dependent on his regular routine. But Stephanie was amazing, she connected with Pilot right away, and he trusted her instantly. Usually, when we go away, he won’t eat for the first 24hrs., but with Stefanie he ate and drank right away. She walked him, gave him all the love he needed, and even took him for a quick car ride around the block (his favorite) She stayed at our home while my husband and I were out of town, and everything looked great when we returned. On top of that, she kept in touch with regular updates, pictures and videos, which gave us peace of mind. Stefanie is patient, kind and trustworthy. I Absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will love and care for their pet like family.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Saint Paul walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Saint Paul maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Saint Paul choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
