“Great experience, our two dogs seemed to have enjoyed their "vacation" as much as we did. It was great to know everything was taken care off at home. Home was also left clean and tidy.”

“Regina has watched our pup twice now and has done an excellent job both times. We know he’s in good hands when we have to be away. She’s a great communicator, does a wonderful job caring for our doggo, and has lots of experience.”

“Carla is a fantastic dog and house sitter! Reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. We came home to a happy dog and a tidy house. Highly recommend and will definitely book again.”

“Keri was a wonderful sitter for our 4 girls. She followed all instructions and even had to deal with our 3 big storm fear girls in the middle of the night when a thunderstorm moved in. Everyone had their calming treats and got settled in. We communicated frequently since this was her first time to stay at the house and I am a nervous momma. I got pictures and updates and it was wonderful. We will definitely be using her again.”
“Louann is the best! My pups adored her. She came over a couple of times before we went on vacation to make sure we all felt comfortable. She had toys and cookies for my babies as well. She took excellent care of my fur babies and my home! I received pictures and updates daily. Looking forward to having her take care of them when we have to leave town again. I felt at ease knowing she was with them. Thanks so much Louann!”
About: I have 9 years of pet care experience with my own dog, other people's animals, and as a volunteer at the SPCA of Texas. I have taken care of many animals in my years of pet sitting in including dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, and guinea pigs. It is not easy for animals to scare me. I'm currently working a part time at a veterinary hospital and going to school part time. I'm not a very busy person, so I will have plenty of extra time to look after your furry little family member. I keep dogs on a leash at all times when walking. I like to follow a list with times for when certain things need to be done. I like to try and keep a schedule that is close to what each pet is used to on a daily basis.
“Amy did a wonderful job with our 2 dogs, and also took on some kittens I was fostering! She met with us and the dogs beforehand so they were familiar with her, and now consider her one of their best friends! House immaculate, mail brought in… highly recommend Amy.”

“We cannot tell you enough good things about Maria! She took care of our 3 babies while we were away. This was our first time using Rover so we were super nervous. Maria came to visit the babies before we left and we knew right away we could trust her when our picky little one warmed up to her right away. She sent us updates throughout her stay. Sent us pictures and videos. She kept the house tidy and we were so very happy with her.”

“Courtney was a wonderful dog sitter that we would recommend to anyone looking for the best care for their pets. Courtney went above and beyond to make sure our pets were safe and cared for and keeping constant communication throughout the week on how they were doing.”

“Sabrina was absolutely amazing with Nala! You can tell she genuinely cares about animals. She took such great care of my dog, and Nala felt so comfortable around her the entire time. I had total peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“We were very happy with Joleen’s care of our cat and house while we were away. She took such great care of Kit Kit who is not the most social or friendliest cat around, otherwise known as a PIA. We received picture updates and were so surprised how she had the cat eating out of her hand in no time. The house was immaculate when we returned… we couldn’t ask for anything more. You will never want to use anybody else!”

“Conner took excellent care of the boys. Sent lots of great pictures, which made me feel comfortable that everything is going well. I highly recommend Connor her Dog Sitting and look forward to having him sit for us again!”
About: I've been taking care of pups for over 15 yrs now. At first my own pups, but then I would help out friends and family with their pups while they went on vacations and/or traveled for work. My family says I have a kinship with dogs as most dogs naturally get a long with me. Sometimes I can calm the most excitable pup and have them relax in my lap. I work pretty early in the morning. I'm usually home by 10-11 am. I have a pretty good schedule regarding feeding and potty breaks. I tend to take the pups out for walking and play I have a fenced back yard and a dog park near by. I can take your fur babies to the park or on walks regularly. I currently have 2 pups myself, they are well trained and have a pretty steady routine (food and potty breaks). They get along well with other dogs, no biting or aggression. They do set boundaries though. NO humping.
“My pup loved Britney from the minute she walked in the door for a meet and greet. She kept me informed on how my pup was doing and sent photos and videos. Britney taught my guy some new skills and spoiled him. I was gone for an extended time and didn’t have to worry about my boy or my home”

“Kayleigh did such a great job with Zoey! Zoey was happy and playful and I got lots of great updates while I was away. Kayleigh also took great care of my home, leaving it neat and clean, helping me out by taking out the trash, washing her dishes, and placing her towels in the washer before I came home. I will definitely use her again.”

“What a sweet lady! From the moment she first met Luke I could tell she was going to be great, she went straight to him and started peting and caring for him, what else can I dog mom ask for? Kinsleigh was courteous enough to stay in our house while we had a very late event across town. When she left in the morning, the house was tied up just the way we left, Luke was fed and had already taken his potty break. My baby looked happy and we will definitely ask Kinsleigh to watch Luke again.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of different sizes and personalities, including energetic and high-maintenance dogs. I have experience raising my own dog from a puppy and understand the patience, consistency, and attention pets need. I enjoy keeping dogs active, comfortable, and safe, and I’m confident handling both calm and energetic pets. I’m a college student with a flexible schedule and I work part-time, so I can often accommodate pet care throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, and playtime. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medication, and exercise routines. I have experience handling energetic and strong dogs, and I stay patient and calm in new situations. I make sure pets have fresh water, a safe environment, and plenty of attention so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lowry Crossing
We had a wonderful experience with Regina! This was our first time leaving our senior Newfoundland with someone new, and she immediately put us at ease. She was kind, attentive, and clearly cared about making sure he was comfortable and well looked after. Bruno has a few special needs and routines, and she was patient, asked great questions, and followed instructions carefully. We received updates while we were away, which gave us tremendous peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our evening knowing he was in good hands. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog, and that’s the best review we can give. We would absolutely trust her with Bruno again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter.

Keri was a wonderful sitter for our 4 girls. She followed all instructions and even had to deal with our 3 big storm fear girls in the middle of the night when a thunderstorm moved in. Everyone had their calming treats and got settled in. We communicated frequently since this was her first time to stay at the house and I am a nervous momma. We had an excellent experience with MarinaRae and would highly recommend her as a cat sitter. She kept us informed throughout our trip with regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Our cats were clearly well cared for, happy, and comfortable when we returned home. She also left our house in fantastic condition — clean, organized, and exactly as we left it. It’s such a relief to find someone reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. We will absolutely use MarinaRae again!

Renee was simply put, AMAZING! She stayed in touch and sent photos of my dogs. When we got home from our weekend trip, the house looked just like we left it. I gave her a 5 star rating but should be a 10 star rating. I almost don't want to leave this rating as I know she will start booking up and I may have trouble getting her again. I highly recommend her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lowry Crossing walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lowry Crossing maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lowry Crossing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
