“Courtney was a wonderful dog sitter that we would recommend to anyone looking for the best care for their pets. Courtney went above and beyond to make sure our pets were safe and cared for and keeping constant communication throughout the week on how they were doing.”

“Marlies was great with the dogs. I did not worry at all while we were gone, I knew she was taking good care of them. She also took great care of the house! I will not hesitate to use her again.”

“This was our first experience using Rover and it was great. We have two dogs, one of which is sometimes anxious, so we didn't want to board them in a strange environment. Keri did a great job taking care of them and was even willing to feed and water our chickens and collect eggs.”

“I spoke to Avon (my dog) when I got home last night and she told me all about her new best friend Amy who came and stayed with her last night. I would absolutely recommend Amy to anyone who is in need of a sitter for their pets! She is very professional and caring! She contacted me when she arrived, sent pictures during her stay, and left my house in the same condition as I left it to her! This was the first time I have ever left my dog with anyone that isn’t my family and Amy came through like a rockstar! I will absolutely use Amy in the future! Thank you for everything you did for Avon!”

“My husband and I were first-time Rover users and were very nervous about using this app. She was incredibly patient, understanding, and caring with both our pets and with me throughout the entire stay. She handled my questions and check-ins with professionalism and kindness, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while we were away. She stayed at our home and took great care of everything, including both our dog and cat. What stood out most was how comfortable our dog became with her. Luna is usually very cautious around new people and can be nervous around strangers, so seeing her warm up so quickly was huge for us. It was clear that Luna trusted her and felt safe in her care. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and a house that had been looked after. We are so grateful for all of her help and the peace of mind she provided during our trip. I would absolutely recommend her and would happily book with her again.”

“Sarah was exceptional. I honestly couldn’t be more pleased with the care she provided for our dogs. We have a Dutch Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix and a Chihuahua mix, and she did an amazing job with both of them. She was incredibly thorough, communicative, and responsive throughout the entire stay. She sent some absolutely incredible pictures that gave us peace of mind and showed just how comfortable and happy our dogs were in her care. Unfortunately, our dogs decided to be a little naughty while we were away and made quite a mess. Sarah cleaned up everything without complaint and went above and beyond what I would ever expect from a dog sitter. That level of dedication and care says a lot about the kind of person she is. I can’t say enough good things about her. She treated our dogs like they were her own, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about them. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and caring to watch your pets, I highly recommend Sarah. We will absolutely be booking with her again”

“Conner took excellent care of the boys. Sent lots of great pictures, which made me feel comfortable that everything is going well. I highly recommend Connor her Dog Sitting and look forward to having him sit for us again!”
“Izzy was able to take a last minute house-sitting job to watch our dog and did an amazing job! She was very flexible and made the best of a stressful situation. When we got home, our dog was happy and relaxed and the apartment was clean.”

About: Hey! I'm Vivian (also go by Mercy). I've cared for my own cat, Junior, for over 17 years, and I'm experienced with dogs of all sizes, medical needs, and special needs. Whether your pet needs boarding in my home or house sitting in yours, I provide calm, attentive care tailored to their routine. Your family deserves the best, and I'm here to offer it. I maintain a flexible, part-time schedule dedicated to pet care, which allows me to give your pet my full attention during stays. Availability is open throughout the week, and I'm happy to discuss specific timing that works best for your family. I promise I will respect your and your little friends property regardless if I drop in for a quick check or stay the night to make sure your pet doesnt get anxiety in the empty home. I may not have a private yard, but I have access to great walking trails around the area!
About: Back in 2023 I got my first job at 16 years old at Pet Suites as a “pet pro” which is a doggy daycare (and cats too) where you can drop your dogs off for the day while you’re at work or board them there while you’re on vacation. I also have done dog sitting outside of that job too, where I would go and take care of families dogs while they were on vacation and stay with the pets at their houses. I also was an active member of the FFA all throughout my high school years where I would raise pigs and show them at different shows. I just completed school and I’m about to go into subbing part-time at a middle school so my schedule is pretty open at the moment! I usually have a good consultation with the pet owners before dog sitting for them where I find out what they’re feeding schedule looks like and other information that would be necessary for me to know and on top of that I usually have them leave me with a list either virtually over the phone or physically on a piece of paper with all the information that I would need.
“Molly was so great with our new pup! She stayed at our place over the weekend and was so respectful of our home but more importantly so loving towards our little nugget. We got pictures every day and will use her again for sure!”

I’m also a proud pet mom to Charlie, my 6 year old Australian Shepherd. He’s an energetic Aries, a total mama’s boy, and my best friend and he can totally vouch for how much I love animals! 🐾 I currently work from home full-time, so my schedule is very flexible and can work with pet owners so that my personal pet care works best for their schedule! As an Australian Shepherd dog mom, I’m comfortable handling dogs of all sizes in a variety of settings, whether at home, on walks, or alongside other furry friends. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of building trust with both pets and their owners. I’m respectful, reliable, and committed to treating your home and pets with the same care and respect I give my own.

“We were very happy with Joleen’s care of our cat and house while we were away. She took such great care of Kit Kit who is not the most social or friendliest cat around, otherwise known as a PIA. We received picture updates and were so surprised how she had the cat eating out of her hand in no time. The house was immaculate when we returned… we couldn’t ask for anything more. You will never want to use anybody else!”

“Sandhya was an amazing blessing to us in house sitting/dog sitting for our golden retriever. She was very professional, sweet with our dog and communicative while we were away with daily updates and photos. Even washed her own sheets/towels and vacuumed the room which was very courteous of her. :) We will definitely trust her again with our dog when we're away!”
About: I've been taking care of pups for over 15 yrs now. At first my own pups, but then I would help out friends and family with their pups while they went on vacations and/or traveled for work. My family says I have a kinship with dogs as most dogs naturally get a long with me. Sometimes I can calm the most excitable pup and have them relax in my lap. I work pretty early in the morning. I'm usually home by 10-11 am. I have a pretty good schedule regarding feeding and potty breaks. I tend to take the pups out for walking and play I have a fenced back yard and a dog park near by. I can take your fur babies to the park or on walks regularly. I currently have 2 pups myself, they are well trained and have a pretty steady routine (food and potty breaks). They get along well with other dogs, no biting or aggression. They do set boundaries though. NO humping.

“I would highly, highly recommend Kristie! She did such an amazing job with our dog Josie, who had just lost her sister a few days before we went away. Kristie made sure that Josie was comforted and had all the extra love and care so she didn't feel lonely. We also received daily pictures and updates so we knew Josie was well taken care of. Having lost a dog before we left, we were uneasy about leaving Josie behind. But Kristie made us feel 100% like Josie was in the best hands and we knew she genuinely cared for her like she was her own. That was very meaningful to us. And, when we returned home, Kristie left a very thoughtful gift for us, which was a plant in memory of the dog we had just lost. I can't say how much that meant to us. Again, highly, highly recommend Kristie!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Yucote Acres
This was our first experience using Rover and it was great. We have two dogs, one of which is sometimes anxious, so we didn't want to board them in a strange environment. Keri did a great job taking care of them and was even willing to feed and water our chickens and collect eggs.

We had an excellent experience with MarinaRae and would highly recommend her as a cat sitter. She kept us informed throughout our trip with regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Our cats were clearly well cared for, happy, and comfortable when we returned home. She also left our house in fantastic condition — clean, organized, and exactly as we left it. It’s such a relief to find someone reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. We will absolutely use MarinaRae again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yucote Acres walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yucote Acres maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yucote Acres choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yucote Acres. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
