About: Welcome to my page! My passion is spreading the love, and we do that by being loving animal owners ourselves. I have been a caregiver for 25 years and have experience with animals small to large, hedgehog to horse. We love them all! We enjoy caring for a variety of animals and sharing toys, walks, and of course belly rubs. It really gives us a happy boost so we seek it out often. We are a house of many cards, actually animals. We have two dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon. We’ve been blessed with the opportunity to help rescue and release some back yard birds like doves and finches. We really do have a niche for this! I'm currently a stay at home mom of kids and animals. During the day I’m available to come by and say hi, or you can drop off and pick up around your work schedule. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I have a securely fenced backyard and take precautions based on each pet’s individual needs, behavior, routine, and current weather conditions. On walks, I use safe handling practices and avoid unnecessary interactions with unfamiliar animals. In the home, pets that do not get along are safely kept separate, and I follow owner-established routines to help minimize stress and anxiety. I believe good pet care also requires good communication, so I keep communication with owners open, respectful, and consistent. At this time, I offer limited short-term daytime boarding when circumstances require it, such as emergencies or helping with a pet’s pickup and care following a veterinary procedure.

About: I have 7 years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and look after their pets with genuine care and attention. I'm patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet's individual needs. I'm also comfortable with cat/kitties, puppies, senior dogs, and pets that need a little extra TLC. Working remotely with flexible hours means I'm home most of the day, but have log certain hours at my office. so I can easily fit walks, playtime, and feeding around my own schedule without leaving a pet alone for long stretches I care for pets in the client's home, since I offer pet sitting and dog walking services. That way your pet stays in their own familiar environment, which keeps their routine and stress levels as normal as possible. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medication, and any special needs — and I'm happy to send updates and photos while you're away.

Sandhya was an amazing blessing to us in house sitting/dog sitting for our golden retriever. She was very professional, sweet with our dog and communicative while we were away with daily updates and photos. Even washed her own sheets/towels and vacuumed the room which was very courteous of her. :) We will definitely trust her again with our dog when we're away!

About: Well, most & foremost I transport pets not just dogs/cats across the United States from a person buying it from a pet store or a friend, etc to their destination of choice w/my set price. I also have my certificate in USDA for pets that I’ll upload in pictures. Moving forward I’ve walked dogs, bathe a cat & dog, was a pet sitter for cats/dogs and puppies. Am very good at communicating & reading/following my clients notes when it comes to food time/preparation or anything relatable to your lovable pet. SN: am very good at belly rubs if your animal loves that since that’s an all time favorite thing for puppies or cats period 😁 Am currently self-employed working on my terms so the time needed to cater/care for a client pet is a blessing to me. I prefer weekdays the most but wouldn’t mind a weekend for some pet attention😃 my availability will be open on ALL days unless something comes up unexpectedly but am a reasonable person w/others times/days etc. I currently help/ take care of my sons father female American bully whom I love. She’s very very smart & alert. So therefore, if I welcome/get that opportunity for a new pet into my home for boarding etc pls believe am treating him/her w/all the love possible. Pet toys & pet food isn’t a problem to me either you can provide your own but am very willing and can accommodate as well on my end.

She was also fully prepared to administer medications to our two senior dogs without any issues. All of our babies clearly loved her, and we came home to a clean house and happy, healthy pets. About: I've been around all kinds of animals since I was a kid. I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, birds, hamsters, rabbits and even ducks. Besides the family pets, I had my own dog since he was 4 months and passed at 13 years, my own cat who was the feral barn cat turned domesticated & living with me until she passed at about 14 years and my own horse I had since I was 10 until he passed at almost 39 years old. I have been around all kinds of breeds and ages of dogs, all sizes, and even volunteered at a wolf sanctuary when I lived in NH. Animals are my love and passion. I work from home so I can be available anytime and be home with your fur babies all day. My schedule is flexible so I am readily available anytime. I know each pet is uniquely individual and you know your fur babies best. I follow all instructions explicitly as you set them and give daily updates with pictures. I know how hard it is leaving your pets home while you travel.

This is our 2nd time to have Jill here and she was just wonderful again!! She stayed at our house to take care of our dog and cat for 3 1/2 days. She continued to send pictures, communicate with us, and update us whet she was leaving for the end of the stay. She left such a detailed message upon leaving and made sure to see if we needed anything else first. She even took the cover off the bed and put it in the washer for me to do when we got home. Once again, highly highly recommend having Jill take care of your babies! (She was even wonderful with our human kids :)

My husband and I were first-time Rover users and were very nervous about using this app. She was incredibly patient, understanding, and caring with both our pets and with me throughout the entire stay. She handled my questions and check-ins with professionalism and kindness, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while we were away. She stayed at our home and took great care of everything, including both our dog and cat. What stood out most was how comfortable our dog became with her. Luna is usually very cautious around new people and can be nervous around strangers, so seeing her warm up so quickly was huge for us. It was clear that Luna trusted her and felt safe in her care. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and a house that had been looked after. We are so grateful for all of her help and the peace of mind she provided during our trip. I would absolutely recommend her and would happily book with her again.

Devyn was so good with our crazy Goldendoodle, Cooper. He doesn’t have the best manners when people come over (he likes to jump on everyone) and she handled that so well. Cooper recently lost his fur sibling and is use to his regular sitter, but Devyn made him so comfortable and he was very happy to see her when she came back to watch him (we did a meet and greet) She is so incredibly sweet and can be trusted to care for your pet/s.

In addition to the standard screening visit, Skylar came by a few days before we left to get reacquainted, which we really appreciated given our dog’s anxiety. During the stay, she communicated well, sent regular pictures and updates and left the house in perfect condition with a detailed note about the status of various household items.

Stefanie was absolutely wonderful and incredibly patient with my dog, Pilot. I don’t trust many people with him since he’s older and a bit finicky, and very dependent on his regular routine. But Stephanie was amazing, she connected with Pilot right away, and he trusted her instantly. Usually, when we go away, he won’t eat for the first 24hrs., but with Stefanie he ate and drank right away. She walked him, gave him all the love he needed, and even took him for a quick car ride around the block (his favorite) She stayed at our home while my husband and I were out of town, and everything looked great when we returned. On top of that, she kept in touch with regular updates, pictures and videos, which gave us peace of mind. Stefanie is patient, kind and trustworthy. I Absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will love and care for their pet like family.

FAQs for House Sitting - Wylie

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Wylie on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 3,920 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wylie. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wylie walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wylie maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wylie choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wylie. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
