“Marlies has sat for our elderly dog many times and it's always an easy experience. I trust that my dog is safe, she's always calm and happy when we come home, and Marlies has the magic touch that she can always get our stubborn dog to take her medicine!”

“Sarah was exceptional. I honestly couldn’t be more pleased with the care she provided for our dogs. We have a Dutch Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix and a Chihuahua mix, and she did an amazing job with both of them. She was incredibly thorough, communicative, and responsive throughout the entire stay. She sent some absolutely incredible pictures that gave us peace of mind and showed just how comfortable and happy our dogs were in her care. Unfortunately, our dogs decided to be a little naughty while we were away and made quite a mess. Sarah cleaned up everything without complaint and went above and beyond what I would ever expect from a dog sitter. That level of dedication and care says a lot about the kind of person she is. I can’t say enough good things about her. She treated our dogs like they were her own, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about them. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and caring to watch your pets, I highly recommend Sarah. We will absolutely be booking with her again”

“Conner took excellent care of the boys. Sent lots of great pictures, which made me feel comfortable that everything is going well. I highly recommend Connor her Dog Sitting and look forward to having him sit for us again!”
“Amy was wonderful, it gave me such a peaceful feeling that she was doing such a great job taking care of our babies and home. I will definitely use her again on our next trip.”

About: Hello! My name is DaiMone, I have grown up with dogs all my life. Caring for animals has been one of my motivations to becoming a licensed veterinary technician. I work at an animal clinic as a veterinary assistant.I have experience giving oral medication along with injections.Loving to all shapes and sizes of animals. Love to try to get to know your animal as much as possible. Consciences of your animals behavior and personality.I am very excited to help in any way that I can, and would love for you to reach out to me for assistance. I do have a full time job where I still would be able to come early in the mornings and evenings to visit with your pet. Always triple checking locks, always make sure you know where the pet is before you leave so you know had an actual visible sight on them.

“We were very happy with Joleen’s care of our cat and house while we were away. She took such great care of Kit Kit who is not the most social or friendliest cat around, otherwise known as a PIA. We received picture updates and were so surprised how she had the cat eating out of her hand in no time. The house was immaculate when we returned… we couldn’t ask for anything more. You will never want to use anybody else!”

“Louann really helped us out of a bind at short notice. She is very dependable and so kind to our dog, Bella. We are visiting our son,s family for a high school graduation and Louann came to our hotel room to watch Bella. This was the second time we used her this trip in the evenings. We old definitely use Louann again next time we are in need of a pet sitter here in Frisco, TX. Thank you, Louann, for being so accommodating.”

“This was our first experience using Rover and it was great. We have two dogs, one of which is sometimes anxious, so we didn't want to board them in a strange environment. Keri did a great job taking care of them and was even willing to feed and water our chickens and collect eggs.”

“Alexis was an absolute dream! She went above and beyond our expectations, she checked in with us daily, sent photos, and even cleaned up some extra messes the cats made. We will definitely book with her in the future.”

“What a sweet lady! From the moment she first met Luke I could tell she was going to be great, she went straight to him and started peting and caring for him, what else can I dog mom ask for? Kinsleigh was courteous enough to stay in our house while we had a very late event across town. When she left in the morning, the house was tied up just the way we left, Luke was fed and had already taken his potty break. My baby looked happy and we will definitely ask Kinsleigh to watch Luke again.”

About: With a strong foundation in canine handling and care developed over many years, complemented by personal experience as a pet owner. I am currently working part time with a small business dog groomer. I’m available for all overnights, but there is sometimes for drop in visits that I cannot come between 8 AM and 2 PM Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays and 11 AM till 2 PM on Saturdays. My current responsibilities include the dedicated care of two 8-month-old family puppies, and I am actively seeking opportunities to expand my practical experience with a diverse range of canines. I am dedicated to providing personalized canine care that aligns seamlessly with your dogs’ existing schedules and your specific instructions. My focus is on ensuring their physical health through appropriate exercise and mental stimulation, while also prioritizing their emotional well-being through positive reinforcement and affectionate interaction.
About: I've been taking care of pups for over 15 yrs now. At first my own pups, but then I would help out friends and family with their pups while they went on vacations and/or traveled for work. My family says I have a kinship with dogs as most dogs naturally get a long with me. Sometimes I can calm the most excitable pup and have them relax in my lap. I work pretty early in the morning. I'm usually home by 10-11 am. I have a pretty good schedule regarding feeding and potty breaks. I tend to take the pups out for walking and play I have a fenced back yard and a dog park near by. I can take your fur babies to the park or on walks regularly. I currently have 2 pups myself, they are well trained and have a pretty steady routine (food and potty breaks). They get along well with other dogs, no biting or aggression. They do set boundaries though. NO humping.
About: Back in 2023 I got my first job at 16 years old at Pet Suites as a “pet pro” which is a doggy daycare (and cats too) where you can drop your dogs off for the day while you’re at work or board them there while you’re on vacation. I also have done dog sitting outside of that job too, where I would go and take care of families dogs while they were on vacation and stay with the pets at their houses. I also was an active member of the FFA all throughout my high school years where I would raise pigs and show them at different shows. I just completed school and I’m about to go into subbing part-time at a middle school so my schedule is pretty open at the moment! I usually have a good consultation with the pet owners before dog sitting for them where I find out what they’re feeding schedule looks like and other information that would be necessary for me to know and on top of that I usually have them leave me with a list either virtually over the phone or physically on a piece of paper with all the information that I would need.
About: What sets me apart is the deep, genuine love I have for every animal in my care. I treat each pet like family, offering personalized attention, patience, and understanding. I have hands-on experience with both energetic puppies and gentle senior pets, including administering medication and managing mobility issues. Whether it’s training basics, cuddle time, or special needs care, I go the extra mile to ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and truly at home. Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily life. I structure my days around the pets I care for making sure they get the attention, walks, meals, playtime, and snuggles they need to feel happy and secure. Whether it’s early morning potty breaks, midday walks, or cozy evening routines, I genuinely enjoy every moment spent with animals. Their wellbeing is a priority, and I make sure my schedule allows for dependable, unrushed, and loving care every time. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a loving, safe space with plenty of attention, play, and comfort. At your home, I follow your pet’s routine exactly, ensuring they feel secure and relaxed while respecting your space and keeping everything tidy.

I maintain a flexible, part-time schedule dedicated to pet care, which allows me to give your pet my full attention during stays. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 2,220 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Farmersville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Farmersville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Farmersville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Farmersville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Farmersville. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
