“This is our first time having Marlies housesit our dog and it won't be our last. She is very dependable and very knowledgeable. She had such patience with my shy dog. She would send updates with pictures. The house and everything was well taken care of, like I said, would use again!”

“Regina was the perfect choice to watch our boys. They absolutely loved her and she took such great care of them! We would be using Regina any chance we get to watch out fur babies!”

“Carla is a fantastic dog and house sitter! Reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. We came home to a happy dog and a tidy house. Highly recommend and will definitely book again.”

“Connor was very reliable, trustworthy, honest and capable. He’s great with my sweet but needy Labrador and I trusted him to take care of my house when I was out of state. Such a blessing. We appreciate his good attitude, willingness to go above and beyond and reliability! Thank you, Connor!”

“Keri was a wonderful sitter for our 4 girls. She followed all instructions and even had to deal with our 3 big storm fear girls in the middle of the night when a thunderstorm moved in. Everyone had their calming treats and got settled in. We communicated frequently since this was her first time to stay at the house and I am a nervous momma. I got pictures and updates and it was wonderful. We will definitely be using her again.”
“Louann arrived at the agreed on time. So dependability is a plus. We didn't have to stress or worry about anything. We received pictures and comments about our dogs. They were well taken care of and we have fiesty dogs and they require lots of potty breaks. My home was in good shape when we returned. She brought in the mail and watered our plants. We appreciate the care she gave and loved on our dogs.”

“Courtney was a wonderful dog sitter that we would recommend to anyone looking for the best care for their pets. Courtney went above and beyond to make sure our pets were safe and cared for and keeping constant communication throughout the week on how they were doing.”

“Sarah was exceptional. I honestly couldn’t be more pleased with the care she provided for our dogs. We have a Dutch Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix and a Chihuahua mix, and she did an amazing job with both of them. She was incredibly thorough, communicative, and responsive throughout the entire stay. She sent some absolutely incredible pictures that gave us peace of mind and showed just how comfortable and happy our dogs were in her care. Unfortunately, our dogs decided to be a little naughty while we were away and made quite a mess. Sarah cleaned up everything without complaint and went above and beyond what I would ever expect from a dog sitter. That level of dedication and care says a lot about the kind of person she is. I can’t say enough good things about her. She treated our dogs like they were her own, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about them. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and caring to watch your pets, I highly recommend Sarah. We will absolutely be booking with her again”

“Mia was available last minute to help take care of my 2 dogs. Her communication was excellent and she sent pictures of the dogs during her visits to ensure me and my family felt they were taken well care of. She did an amazing job and I highly recommend her! Thank you Mia!”

“Amy was wonderful, it gave me such a peaceful feeling that she was doing such a great job taking care of our babies and home. I will definitely use her again on our next trip.”

About: I've been taking care of pups for over 15 yrs now. At first my own pups, but then I would help out friends and family with their pups while they went on vacations and/or traveled for work. My family says I have a kinship with dogs as most dogs naturally get a long with me. Sometimes I can calm the most excitable pup and have them relax in my lap. I work pretty early in the morning. I'm usually home by 10-11 am. I have a pretty good schedule regarding feeding and potty breaks. I tend to take the pups out for walking and play I have a fenced back yard and a dog park near by. I can take your fur babies to the park or on walks regularly. I currently have 2 pups myself, they are well trained and have a pretty steady routine (food and potty breaks). They get along well with other dogs, no biting or aggression. They do set boundaries though. NO humping.
“Thank you Kinsleigh for taking such great care of Teddy & Bear. You were so caring, took the time to send pics and left our house just as clean as when we left. We look forward to having you stay again!!! We highly recommend you as well!! Angela”

“Jane was so sweet and great with my pets. She was flexible and understanding when our plans had to change due to unforeseen circumstances. She was a real blessing. She was punctual, thorough, and was consistent with checking in so I knew my pets were well taken care of! Totally recommend her to everyone!”

“We were very happy with Joleen’s care of our cat and house while we were away. She took such great care of Kit Kit who is not the most social or friendliest cat around, otherwise known as a PIA. We received picture updates and were so surprised how she had the cat eating out of her hand in no time. The house was immaculate when we returned… we couldn’t ask for anything more. You will never want to use anybody else!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. Each of them have something different that makes them lovable and special. Watching or walking dogs never seems to be a job for me because time goes by fast when you are having fun! I, myself had a German Shepherd, he passed away this last December. I work from home, just need wifi to hang out with your babies. I take meetings occasionally throughout the day, woofs and pets are always welcome. I have a two mainecoon cats. Both are very social and friendly. They both have been around a fair share of dogs and even a parrot.
About: I have over 10 years of experience providing reliable, loving care for both dogs and cats. My pet sitting journey began over a decade ago, while I was in high school, caring for my neighbors' pets and homes, and over the years, my business has grown through word-of-mouth recommendations through those same neighbors and several coworkers across various jobs, as well as caring for family members' pets. Whether keeping up with energetic dogs, maintaining strict feeding routines, or providing gentle companionship for cats, I pride myself on giving pet parents complete peace of mind while they are away through consistent communication and transparency. Pet care is a top priority in my daily routine. Because I work part-time with flexible hours, I am easily able to adjust my schedule around your pet’s specific needs and feeding routines. Whether your pet needs early morning visits, mid-day attention, evening check-ins, or all day cuddles and companionship, I build my day around ensuring your pet gets timely, uninterrupted care. When caring for pets in your home, I make it my mission to ensure the safety of your pets and your home's security are always met. I treat your home with total respect by ensuring doors, gates, and windows remain securely shut and entry codes/keys are strictly safeguarded. Whether walking dogs on-leash or spending time inside with cats, I am always vigilant about their surroundings and body language. I closely follow all feeding, exercise, and medication instructions, conduct double-checks on doors and fences before leaving, and send detailed updates with photos so you have total peace of mind.
About: I have 9 years of pet care experience with my own dog, other people's animals, and as a volunteer at the SPCA of Texas. I have taken care of many animals in my years of pet sitting in including dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, and guinea pigs. It is not easy for animals to scare me. I'm currently working a part time at a veterinary hospital and going to school part time. I'm not a very busy person, so I will have plenty of extra time to look after your furry little family member. I keep dogs on a leash at all times when walking. I like to follow a list with times for when certain things need to be done. I like to try and keep a schedule that is close to what each pet is used to on a daily basis.
“Britney was amazing ! I have never used this app before so I was definitely nervous but Britney made me feel safe leaving our babies with her . She sent me updates and pictures! The dogs loved her and she even got them cupcakes ! Left some for us ! 🤤🤤🥹 HIGHLY RECOMMEND”

As of August 2026, there are 2,703 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Climax. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Climax walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Climax maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Climax choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Climax. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
