“I couldn’t have asked for a better person than Marta! She took care of my dogs while I was out of town, I knew they were in great hands. Marta is incredibly caring, attentive, and professional. She went above and beyond to ensure my pups were comfortable, happy, and well-cared for, and it was clear they adored her.”

“Kristen did an amazing job taking care of our 3 fur babies while we were away for a few days. She gave us regular updates & the pups were healthy & happy when we got home. Highly recommend! ?”

“I’ve used Riley for our two fur-babies and love her!! Our babies stay overnight for a few days at a time while we travel and she communicates through out the day with messages. Pictures, and videos Definitely will continue using her services 💕”

“Izzy went above and beyond during her stay with our golden retriever Mav. She took great care of him and our home. We can gladly recommend her with confidence and will certainly hire her again. 10/10!”

“Stephany was wonderful! My wife and I recently moved to Texas and didn't have anyone close to help us so we turned to Rover for the first time. Stephany was so easy to work with, she is met with us for a meet and greet, took the time to keep contact with us while we were gone with daily updates, and kept up our house as well! I would recommend Stephany to anyone!”

“Molly was absolutely amazing. She communicated clearly and provided daily updates, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She was also fully prepared to administer medications to our two senior dogs without any issues. All of our babies clearly loved her, and we came home to a clean house and happy, healthy pets. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care she provided! 🐾”

“Jill watched our two dogs for 4 nights and it was a great experience. This was our first time having someone stay at our house with them, and by the end of our trip they were following Jill around and happy. Her communication was great, with multiple pictures every day and quick responses to our questions. Plus, our dogs were great eaters for her, unlike when they have stayed at family members' homes.”

About: I've had 4 dogs myself from puppies until 14 years of age. I've been through puppy training and obedience training with 3 of my dogs. I love playing with them and making sure they get the exercise they need. I love dogs and they love me. If I could rescue and care for all the dogs in shelters and pounds I would just so they would know what love is. I'm a major dog lover I am currently working full time at Target, five days a week. My days off vary week to week but I do get my schedule three weeks in advance. Most of my shifts are from 11:00am-6:30/7:00pm and one or two closing shifts of 1:30/2:00pm-10:00pm I have a fenced yard with plenty of space for your dog to run around and play. I have two teenage children who will help care for and love on your dog.
“Rachelle does a great job with our girls! She stays in contact, sends lots of photos, we never have to worry when she is caring for our pups. I highly recommend Rachelle to care for your pets.”

“Kayla was absolutely fantastic watching our two dogs and home. They are not the easiest as one is elderly with a lot of medications and the other is high energy, but she exceeded all of our expectations. She was communicative, punctual, and friendly. Thank you!”
“We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kristie! She took absolutely incredible care of our three dogs and treated them like they were her own. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were not only safe and well cared for, but genuinely loved while we were away. Kristie also looked after our home with the same level of care and attention. Everything was spotless and exactly as we left it when we returned. On top of that, she was unbelievably flexible and accommodating when our travel plans changed at the last minute. She handled everything with professionalism, kindness, and zero stress. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and truly compassionate to care for your pets and home, Kristie is the absolute best. We would recommend her without hesitation and can’t wait to book her again!”

“I can’t say enough good things! Nina took such wonderful care of Shiner and Peanut while I was away. Both of my pups have their own unique quirks and needs. Shiner, with his protective streak and daily “sniffy” morning walks, and Peanut, with his special diet and independent personality, and Nina handled it all with patience, attentiveness, and kindness. I came home to two happy dogs, watered plants, and a spotless house. Nina kept me updated, followed all of the care instructions, and left everything tidy and comfortable for my return (even fresh linens waiting!). It’s such a relief to know my boys are safe and cared for when I’m gone. I would absolutely recommend Nina to anyone looking for a trustworthy, thoughtful sitter who truly respects their home and pets. Thank you again, Nina gave me complete peace of mind!”

“Jess was amazing!!! We were so nervous about leaving the cats for a few days but we were actually able to enjoy our vacation because of her ?? She sent us plenty of pictures and videos the whole time and we could really tell that the cats bonded with her ? Wish I could give more than 5 stars!”

“Kayla is fantastic! Very professional! Very good with our dog. Made us feel very comfortable being away from him. She sent updates and pictures through the app each time she was at our home. She even made a special visit before hand to get acquainted with us! This was a very stress-free first time experience for us. Thank you Kayla!”
About: My dad is the proud father of a sweet, but spicy, German shepherd. Two cats are also family to him. You got any more animals? Large breeds are my favorite. My home is pet free. I retired early in life, so I have ample time to raise doggos full time. Any dogs you can bring me the better. Cats too. I actually have two yards for play, a side yard as well as a back yard. I have been certified for the past eight years to do dog training as well.
“We had Kennedy house/dog sit for a few hours in preparation for a couple of vacation trips, and we think we have a good one in Kennedy! She shows up 5 mins early (like that) and our dog Wiley is very happy to be greeted by her happy personality. Kennedy has our confidence that our home and dog will be in good, caring hands.”

This is my second time booking with Alicia, and she has been amazing both times! She always goes above and beyond with communication and sends plenty of pictures and updates, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away. She takes wonderful care of my dogs and is also very respectful of my home. I always come back to everything clean, cared for, and in great condition. I truly appreciate how reliable and thoughtful she is and would definitely book with her again!

I can’t say enough good things about Riley. She stayed at our house with 3 dogs and a cat for 8 nights. I had daily videos, excellent communication, and could not have asked for anything more or better. The fur babies were a combo of mine and my daughter’s pets so they fully acted out for Riley like they were kids on a family vacation. 🤣 She handled them perfectly and didn’t complain once. The house is as good if not better than I left it. I seriously can’t say enough great things about her and fully, 100% recommend her for anyone looking for the best of the best. Not only did Riley indeed leave my house better than it was when left (I keep finding little touches that she did while here) but somehow my dogs are acting more well behaved! Thanks again, Riley!

Bridget and her husband did a wonderful job taking care of our pups. They were even gracious enough to extend our booking by an extra day, which we really appreciated. We came home to happy, healthy dogs that were clearly well cared for and comfortable while we were away. It's obvious they genuinely care about the animals they look after. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again and look forward to booking them in the near future!

Adrienne was the epitome of what you would want and expect with a dog sitter. She is reliable, detail oriented and asked all the right questions prior to her taking care of my two Great Pyreness. We LOVED Adrienne! I truly was able to enjoy my vacation and not have to be concerned about how my boys were doing. She was communicative and knew when to take on walks, especially with the Texas heat upon us, and balanced this equally with their feeding schedules, treats, and even bedtime routines. I am very selective on who cares for my boys and I wouldn’t hesitate on booking with her again! ❤️✈️🌴⭐️

Holden did an amazing job with my two very energetic girls! He was super communicative and extremely mindful of the different needs of each dog. I came home to a cleaner house than I left and my girls clearly had a good time! It can be hard to find someone you trust with your babies but I will absolutely book with Holden again! Thank you, Holden!

Allison always does an amazing job with our pups. This was probably a longer trip than we’ve taken away from them so I was naturally a nervous wreck leading up to it, but as soon as Allison was with them I knew they were in great hands. Thank you Allison for caring for our girls!

Janelle was absolutely amazing! She kept me consistently updated throughout the stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. My puppy Nyx struggles with separation anxiety, and Janelle handled it with so much care, patience, and understanding. It’s clear she genuinely loves what she does. She truly went above and beyond to make sure Nyx and my other dog Eros were comfortable and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Janelle again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and compassionate sitter.

David did a wonderful job dog sitting in our house with our energetic golden retriever. He communicated with us daily while we were away and send pictures which was great! We came back to a happy dog and a clean house. Would highly recommend and definitely will use David again in the future.

Jonathan was fantastic! He loved on our babies and made us feel secure in knowing they were taken care of. He went the extra mile in caring for them and kept everything tidy while staying in our home. Communication was several times with pictures while we were away. You won’t regret asking him to take care of your precious pets!

Jaz was an amazing sitter! I had total peace of mind while I was away knowing my pets were so well cared for. I have an older pup and two cats, and she handled everyone with such kindness and attention. She sent daily updates that really reassured me, and even my shy cat came to cuddle near her.. which says a lot about how safe and comfortable he must have felt. I would love to use her services every time I’m out of town. Highly recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Plano walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Plano maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Plano choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
