“Kenzie is a fantastic pet sitter! We have an older dog, Dottie, who isn't very playful with new people. But Kenzie immediately won her over, and they were playing together right away. It put our minds at ease knowing Dottie was comfortable and having fun. Kenzie was also incredibly accommodating when our travel plans kept changing. She went above and beyond. We'll definitely be using Kenzie again in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of our precious Dottie!”

“Thanks for watching our dogs!!! Katie is great, one of our dogs can be verrrryy difficult with strangers and she handled it so well and was petting him by the next day! Would recommend 😃”

About: My ambition is to give your dogs a vacation experience while you are on vacation! They will feel at home, safe, loved, spoiled and pampered. We only keep one family’s dogs at a time, so your babies will get the royal treatment! I look forward to serving you! I am a homeschool mom with a very flexible schedule. I have plenty of time for walks, playing and caring for your beloved fur baby. Plus, we will be focused on your pet alone, so they do not ever have to share tummy scratches! I have a designated room for your dogs. I have a fenced yard and a large walking path behind our home for them to explore.
“Sebnem took amazing care of our cats while we were away. She went above and beyond to make sure our cats were comfortable and provided lots of photo/video updates which really helped ease the stress of being away from our fur babies. I would 100% re-book with Sebnem for future cat sitting.”

About: I bring a warm, caring energy and a genuine love for every pet like they’re my own. Whether your pup is full of zoomies or your senior dog needs a little extra TLC, I’ve got the patience, experience, and heart to match their needs. I’m great with routines, gentle with training, and quick to pick up on each pet’s unique personality. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and sizes, and I’m confident with everything from giving meds to reinforcing positive behavior. I’m a firm believer in belly rubs, long walks, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Basically? You can think of me as your pet’s new favorite human—besides you, of course! Pet care fits perfectly into my daily and weekly routine because I genuinely love being around animals. I plan my day around their needs—whether that means early morning walks, mid-day potty breaks, or cozy evening playtime and snuggles. I’m flexible and organized, so I make sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, and love they need to feel secure and happy. Caring for pets doesn’t feel like a chore—it’s the best part of my day! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my goal is always the same: to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well-cared for. In my home, I create a calm, clean, and cozy environment where pets can feel comfortable and relaxed. I stick to their usual routine—feeding times, walks, playtime, and bedtime—to keep things familiar. I have designated spaces for naps, play, and quiet time, and I always supervise closely to make sure they feel secure and happy. In your home, I care for your pets with the same level of attention and respect. I follow your instructions closely, maintain their daily schedule, and provide plenty of love and interaction. I’m mindful of your space, and I always keep things tidy. I also provide regular updates with photos and notes, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in great hands while you’re away.
“Sabrina went above and beyond as a cat sitter. As a first-time cat owner with an IBD cat who is very shy due to past trauma, I was really nervous about leaving her alone for a few days. But Sabrina was amazing — she was patient, gentle, and somehow even got my cat to come out of hiding. She also helped set up my water fountain, which I really appreciated. Her updates gave me so much peace of mind. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone, especially if you have a shy/special-needs pet”

“Clara was amazing at making sure sky was well taken care of and stimulated every time she came over! She was patient when she first met him, and understanding of his needs because he has trouble being around new people but Clara had no issues with it and was able to find a way to work with him. If you have a fur baby or pet that needs special care and attention, Clara is the person to hire! Always took pictures and was respectful of the space. 10/10 would highly recommend!”

“Phung took good care of my cat Olive while I was gone for 2 weeks. I can tell my cat loved her, and would definitely book her again in the future! She took so many good pictures and kept me updated on everything.”

“Zach has been caring for our cat several times now, and is by far our favorite sitter for our girl. He is kind and caring, which can really be seen in his thoughtful rover report cards. This is the kind of person you want caring for your pets, not just someone checking a box to put food down and be out the door.”

About: I have 2 family dogs of my own, and have dog sit for neighbors and family friends! I have experience with puppies and senior dogs. I love going in longer or shorter walks, or just hanging out to keep your dog company! I currently work on a hybrid schedule, so I have a lot more availability on Thursdays and Fridays! Other than that, I love an evening walk any day of the week, and am mostly available on weekends! I live near a park, so your dog will have plenty of trees to sniff! While I do live in an apartment complex, there are plenty of pet owners in my area who are incredibly friendly!
About: I've been caring for dogs my entire life, and I’ve had the honor of helping raise my two amazing pups for the last 15 years. Their well-being means everything to me, and I bring that same level of love and dedication to every dog I care for. I recently graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree and am relocating back to my hometown in the DFW area. While I was in college, I pet sat through Rover for several years and really enjoyed getting to know so many great dogs and their owners. I’m excited to continue doing something I genuinely enjoy while helping families have peace of mind when they’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own, whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, or just making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I’m dependable, attentive, and always prioritize your pet’s safety and routine. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family!
“We are so glad we were able to have Megan drop in on our dogs today! Megan was very patient with their initially raucous welcome, and showered them with lots of love while here. Our doggos have their quirks and Megan took time to understand them, which we really appreciated. We will definitely be booking with Megan again, and recommend Megan to anyone who is looking for a calm and caring person to hang with their pets!”

Marshall took such wonderful care of Cannoli during our most recent trip! I was very anxious to leave my (fur) child, but he sent plenty of photos (and always right on time). She’s usually a shy girl but she warmed up to him so quickly, he must be a pet whisperer. He also was so kind as to bring some packages for received inside. I could not recommend more! :)
Monica did amazing with my two kitties! They warmed up to her quickly and she sends the cutest photos. I came back to a clean home with happy kitties and happy plants. She even helped bring in my packages so they were safe too. Highly recommend booking with her if you need a catsitter!

I can't recommend this cat sitter highly enough! From the moment we left, I knew our cats were in caring and capable hands. Not only did they provide excellent care for our cat—making sure they were fed, comfortable, and given plenty of attention—but they also went above and beyond by helping with several household responsibilities while we were away. They brought in our mail regularly, put the trash and recycling bins out on collection day, and kept an eye on the house, which gave us tremendous peace of mind during our trip. Communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates and photos that reassured us our cats were happy and well cared for. It's rare to find someone who is both dependable and genuinely caring. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and willingness to help with extra tasks made all the difference. We returned home to happy cats and a well-maintained house. We will absolutely be booking with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and exceptional pet sitter.

Kennedy is a great cat sitter! She has sat for us a few times now and has gotten our very shy cat to come out which does not usually happen. She is very communicative and always sends pictures and videos which we really appreciate when we are away. I would highly recommend her!

Taylor did a great job with my girls as always! I was so grateful that she was available and willing to drop in and check on my kitties while I was out of town. Everything went well and the kitties also know and trust her now. Would definitely recommend and would book with Taylor again and again!

Jonathan is truly the best dog sitter I’ve ever had for Ranger. I had to leave town unexpectedly, and he went above and beyond in every way. He followed Ranger’s schedule perfectly while adding thoughtful touches that kept him happy, active, and loved the entire time. I had complete peace of mind knowing Ranger was in such great hands. What really impressed me is that Jonathan is amazing with large dogs—Ranger used to pull on walks, and now he’s noticeably better. It felt like I had a dog sitter and a trainer in one. This experience was on a completely different level than any pet sitter I’ve used before. I won’t leave town again without checking Jonathan’s availability first. If I could give more than 10 stars, I would!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
