“Michelle was great! She had excellent communication. Sent daily pics and was attentive to my pups needs. She didn’t hesitate to send a message if she thought something was off. She even went the extra mile to feed my fish! Would recommend 100/10!”

“Kelli has been my goto pet sitter for my cats for the past 2 years. She does an incredible job giving my cat his medication and making sure they have food and entertainment. My cats definitely enjoy having her come visit.”

“Laurinda was so great. I have a cat with asthma, diabetes, and chronic upper respiratory problems. She was able to accommodate a last minute booking for my very special cat that needs inhaler treatment, insulin, and nose drops twice a day. She handled him with so much care and love. Thank you so much for taking care of my very special boy.”

“Sarah is wonderful. She arrived promptly and followed directions perfectly. I have a very persnickety senior cat who needs a lot of coaxing and encouragement to eat his food and she handled it like a pro. She kept me updated and sent pictures. I will definitely trust Sarah to take care of my prized possession again! Thank you Sarah!❤️”

“Aivy did a great job watching our dog while we were out of town. We haven’t used Rover in quite a few years and are very picky when it comes to who watches our fur baby. Aivy put us at ease from the first meet and greet with her thoughtful questions and demeanor. We also really appreciated her photos and report cards each time she dropped in. Will definitely use Aivy again in the future for our pet care needs. Thank you, Aivy!!”

“Sydney had been a blessing to us taking care of our 3 dogs on short notice. Sydney S. Kept up updated daily at all meeting times on how our pups were doing. If any issue arises she rose to the challenge, informed us and took our advice. Booking with Sydney again in the future is definitely on the horizon!”

“Firstly, I really appreciated the Rover app. It was so easy to choose our provider and Marisa responded immediately. She came to our home the same morning to meet our dogs and discuss our needs. Marisa routinely gave me updates and sent pictures of our dogs throughout the time we used her services. Our home was kept perfectly neat and the dogs were happy when we returned home. We will absolutely use Marisa in the future and have told others about our experience with Rover. Vickie Krolikowski”
“Summer was amazing with my cat Tofu! She communicated with me often, sent proof of fresh water, litter cleaning, and even reported when he pooped and peed. She also went above and beyond and helped us vacuum our room and bathroom because of the litter tracked. My cat doesn’t like anyone else besides me, but he warmed up to Summer after two days and came out to greet her and gave her kisses. I am definitely booking again when I go out of town!”

“Kathleen is amazing and I want to keep her as an official dog sitter forever!! She is flexible and will always ask questions and communicate as needed! You can tell she really enjoys our animals and they love her!”

“Destani was very responsive to messages and always made sure to respond very quickly. She did a great job watching our cat while we were away and made sure to send pictures and give updates with every visit. I was thankful to have her as a pet sitter, she even made sure to keep up with the scheduled visits despite a tropical storm happening! I will definitely book her in the future when needed.”

“Daniela is an excellent sitter! My miniature dachshund liked her so much. Daniela took her for walks and played with her and loved on her on her drop in visits. I felt confident leaving Mabel with her. I definitely will have Daniela stay with my animals again. My cat didn’t come out of hiding but that is nothing new!”

“Nana and Scott have been so amazing to work with! They taught my boy how to spin which I couldn’t even do. They great at sending photos, videos and I could tell Ozzy has loved spending time with them. Will be using them from here on out forever! 😊”

“Alpa was amazing!! It was the first time that we left our animals with someone else besides a family member and she was great. She is a true professional in this field and will will definitely will be using her again. Thank you Alpa for everything”

About: My first ever job as a kid was walking and taking care of the neighbors pups when they were out of town. Ever since then I've been taking care of the whole neighborhood’s dogs. I can handle little cats, big dogs, and everything in between. I am home full time on the weekends and home every morning/night during the week outside of my 8 hr work day and commute to and from work. Taking care of pets in their own home is the easiest for the pet and myself as long as clear instructions are given. Boarding at my residence is also an option as I have 2 dog parks at my apartment.
About: I have had dogs nearly my entire life. And a variety of other pets sporadically, like fish, hamsters guinnea pigs and others. I have also been blessed to have been a rescue foster and the reward of helping heal thier emotional and physical health and finding their Furever homes. I understand pets are family. I work from home FT so most availability is evenings and weekends. If you are super close by, I may be able to dropins during the week days. I am comfortable with all sizes ( we have 3 dogs 50-120 lbs) and do respect your training protocols. I always check the fences and gates before letting them out in the yard.
About: I have had a heart for the four legged friends since I could walk. From a round of tug of war to running around the backyard to cuddling on the couch, it brings me joy to make animals feel loved. I am a teacher so I do have a teacher schedule throughout the week but I am home earlier most days (by 3:30 or 4:00). Your pet is free to lounge freely in the house while we are gone unless you have crate trained them and would like them put in their crates. We have a large house with no carpet and tile/wood throughout in case of any accidents. We do have a small dog (who can lounge with your furry friend and who is also crate trained) as well as a cat-who minds her own business most of the time. Our children LOVE dogs and are great at playing and helping your furry friend get lots of exercise. We have a fully fenced yard. Crates during the day or lounging around the house is completely up to you. We have a cat who minds her own business and doesn’t mind dogs. Our dog Sherlock is the friendliest most playful little terrier who just loves making friends with everyone!
“Samantha and Sydney did an AMAZING job taking care of our two cats! This was our first time to use someone in a new home, so we were a bit anxious about how it would go. We could not have asked for better people to care for our cats! We got tons of pictures and an extensive write up every day of our trip, putting us at ease that they were in good hands. Not only did they do the basics, but we really got the feeling that they care about our pets and looked forward to seeing them everyday. 10 stars!!”

Laurel took excellent care of my dog Blue and was so attentive throughout the whole stay. She kept me updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. You could tell Blue was completely comfortable and happy with her — he clearly had a great time and formed a real bond with her. I'd absolutely book again and recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who truly cares about the dogs in her charge.

I will always recommend Sydney. This was my second time booking her to watch my baby. Sydney is always communicative and patient. Even when Elaina (my cat) was being particular this trip (mad at me for leaving again), she still came out of her safe space. That speaks volumes on the kind of person Sydney is.

Laurinda was amazing! This was a bit of a last minute decision and she was super easy to communicate with and very familiar with the fickle ways of cats. I felt very at ease with my little ones in her care. Her updates were wonderful and made me smile with the notes about each of them and the photos. I will absolutely reach back out next time we need someone to check in our cats.

We had a wonderful experience with Lana during a drop in visit with our dog, Finn. She was extremely communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and kept us updated the whole time. Since we were from out of town, she even shared great local recommendations for places to eat and things to do nearby. Her thoughtfulness made everything so much easier, and we’d happily recommend her to anyone looking for dependable, kind pet care.

Summer was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond caring for my two cats while I was away. One of my cats is still a young kitten and is terrified of just about everything, but Summer was incredibly patient, gentle, and understanding. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. It was clear that she genuinely cared about their well-being and treated them like they were her own. I came home to two happy, healthy cats and a clean, well-maintained space. I wouldn't hesitate to book Summer again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter!

I booked Ember after having to take a last minute trip for work. She agreed to a meet and greet on such short notice, was punctual during her check ins, and remained incredibly calm and professional when I accidentally came home a day early and totally forgot to met her know 💀. I would trust her with Riley again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!

Morgan took such great care of our cat while we were away for more than a week. She came by before our trip to meet us, spend time with our cat, and go over all of the care instructions. While we were gone, she was always on time, kept our home clean, and sent regular updates and pictures so we always knew our kitty was doing well. It was obvious she gave our cat lots of love and attention, and when we got home, our cat was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. The best part was that we never had to worry while we were away. It's not easy to find someone you can truly trust with your home and your pet, and Morgan is absolutely that person. We'll definitely be booking her again, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter. Your pets will be in great hands!
Maria went above and beyond when taking care of my cats! She followed all my feeding and litter box instructions to the letter, and gave extra special care and love to my kitties. I can't recommend Maria enough. She's reliable, communicative, genuinely caring, and treats your pets like her own. Booking her again for every future trip!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
