“Alex is such a team player and helps out a lot when she can. I have had some schedule conflicts due to my work and health needs and she cares for Stellar so nicely in between. I always know he's in good hands with her. She also makes herself available, which I appreciate!”

“Cheryl took care of 6 of my cats while I was out of town for a week. She did an excellent job with my babies even though only 3 of them were brave enough to come out of hiding to see her. She did a great job communicating with me whilr i was gone. I would happily have her take care of them again in the future.”

“LJ was absolutely phenomenal with both of our dogs, one of which is a big anxious mess. She was consistent, stuck to our dogs’ routines, and went the extra mile to ensure they had the best care possible. Will definitely be booking with LJ again!”

“Jayniece was exceptional, this was the first time I have ever used this kind of service and she made it so easy for me. I had very stress free time while I was out of town. From the moment I met her I was confident she would take care of my dog and my house. If you are looking for someone reliable and experienced with dogs, book Jayniece. I will definitely use her again.”

“Jessica watched my senior cat while I was on vacation and was fantastic! She sent pictures and was punctual with her visit times! I highly recommend Jessica and will use her for future visits :)”

About: I have experience caring for just about all kinds of pets you can think of, from dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, rodents, fish, birds, and rabbits! I have a dog (Akira), two cats (Osiris and Heka), and a pet snake (Medusa) of my own currently, and all (minus Medusa) go back and forth with my daughter to her dad's every other week, so I am free to care for your pet baby when they are not here! I've cared for puppies, kittens, all the way up to their senior years. I work for myself and am child and pet-free every other week, so I will have extended time to care for your pets when my own are with their dad. I have a fenced backyard with a ton of space to play, sit in the sun, or chill under the large covered patio. Whether they are at my home or yours, I will make sure they are comfortable, have all their needs taken care of, and get lots of love while I am there.

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life and loved having four legged babies. I’ve spent years volunteering at shelters and then working a rescue. I’ve worked with many elderly and reactive dogs. They’re special to you so they’re special to me. I am in graduate school that is primarily online so I figured this would be a great way to occupy my time as well as have companions for my daily walks anyways. I live in a townhome with lots of walking paths nearby, I love to walk and exercise and overall have a pretty quiet little oasis here.
“Lauren is absolutely the best — not only does she go above and beyond with looking after our home, she truly pays attention to our pups and makes sure they are happy and not anxious!!! She keeps their brains busy, gives all the snuggles, and cleans up any accidents without complaint. She’s the BEST and the most reliable sitter we’ve ever used in 5 years!!! Your pets will adore her.”
About: Had several pets throughout my life ranging from reptiles to cats and dogs. I’ve had several experiences with all of my pets from medications to special care due to ivdd. Have a full time job but I have plenty of time to play and walk or just hang out with your dog or cat during weekends! I have a an extra room where I can have my pets in and a kennel if necessary. My dogs are kennel trained but I only have them in there if absolutely needed.
“Trinity was the perfect sitter for my two cats! My cats normally prefer girls, but even I was surprised at how quickly they warmed up to her. She was punctual, she gave one cat her medication easily, she played with the other cat during visits, and she overall made my cats comfortable and happy while I was gone. I appreciated that she sent pictures of her visits so that I could see my girls while I was away, too. I truly cannot say enough good things about Trinity! I’ll definitely be rebooking her the next time I’m out of town!!”

“Angie is amazing! I was nervous leaving my pet for and extended time for the the first time ever and Angie made everything easy. She arranged a meeting so she could come over, meet my kitty, see where everything was and take notes on what she needed to do on her visits. She sent photos and updates every single day, which I really appreciated! I could not possibly be any more pleased than I already am. Will definitely book with her again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lewisville
Liana took great care of our kitties and consistently communicated with us whenever she visited. She sent us pictures and informed us on whether they were eating and she bonded with them in a short time. We are very grateful for Liana's work and will definitely request her again the next time we travel.

Melanie was quick to respond and very helpful as I had to book a last minute dog sitter. She made the process and breeze and was very flexible and accommodating. She took really good care of my dog and I will 1000% recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.

Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful to work with! She is kind, attentive, and truly listens to your needs. Her communication was clear and consistent, and she gave us complete confidence that our pets would be in great hands. She comes across as very trustworthy and reliable. We’re so happy we found her and would highly recommend Elizabeth to anyone looking for a fantastic pet sitter!

Kristen and Matthew were amazing!! My trouble kitty was surprisingly on his best behavior with them and had good playtime. The girls were also well taken care of and got lots of pets! 💗 I got plenty of photos of my babies and updates on them! I would definitely rebook with them again!

Alex was such a lucky find. Our dogs felt immediately comfortable with him and he works as a Vet Tech, so he was uniquely qualified to help watch our dog who has a wound and needed her bandage changed every day. Alex gave us great advise on how to better tend the wound and took great care of both dogs. We would 100% book Alex again.

Kaytlin is awesome! She was so kind and patient with our senior dog. Trusted her to take care of him multiple times on multiple occasions for potty breaks, feeding, and scratches. She always arrives when we need her to and she clearly communicates the status. She’s great and we will continue to use her services as long as we have our dog!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
