“Liana took great care of our kitties and consistently communicated with us whenever she visited. “Annabelle took wonderful care of my senior cat Ace while I was out of town for the Fourth of July weekend! She was extremely punctual, reliable, and genuinely attentive. Knowing Ace is an older cat who loves company, she happily stayed longer during several visits just to give him extra playtime and cuddles so he wouldn’t feel lonely. He warmed up to her immediately and always seemed happy and relaxed when I checked in. Annabelle sent lots of photos and updates throughout the whole trip, which gave me peace of mind. She clearly loves animals and treats every pet like her own. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, I’ll definitely be booking her again!”

“Cheryl took care of 6 of my cats while I was out of town for a week. She did an excellent job with my babies even though only 3 of them were brave enough to come out of hiding to see her. She did a great job communicating with me whilr i was gone. I would happily have her take care of them again in the future.”

“Alexis was incredible! She stepped up for us big time when the other dog sitter bailed last minute and was the sweetest to our new puppy and other dog. Would highly recommend her and will definitely use her again! Thank you so much for everything!!!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and have been around dogs for as long as I can remember. I currently have a German Shepherd and a Husky, and I raised my Husky from the time he was a puppy, which gave me firsthand experience with puppy care, training routines, and helping him grow into a happy, healthy adult. Caring for my own dogs has taught me the importance of consistency, patience, and making sure each dog gets the attention and exercise they need. I’m comfortable caring for large, high-energy breeds and providing daily walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of love and attention. I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, and I’ll always follow your instructions to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own! I work full-time during the week, so my availability is more limited Monday through Friday. However, I’m available on weekends and can also provide care during the week with enough notice. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I do ask for a short break (about 1–2 hours) to check in on my own two dogs and make sure they’re doing well. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority, and I’ll keep you updated throughout their stay. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust caring for your furry family member. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I’ll treat both your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I believe in keeping owners updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved in the comfort of their own home.
“DeAnna was amazing with our cats! She brought them treats every day and even got our sassy tabby cat to warm up to her. We will DEFINITELY be rebooking for our next travel!”

“Had a last minute change and needed to find someone to check in on our cat. Lizzy was quick to respond and help out! Great communication and ensured she was well taken care of.”

“Evan is AMAZING with our crew of orange tabbies. I love the photos he sends each visit…..and I swear they are smiling as he’s petting them! He’s very dependable and a great communicator. Highly recommend him!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
