“Kristen is truly the best! She accepted my last-minute request, came over beforehand to take detailed notes, and gave my sweet old cat so much love and cuddles over the 3 days. Buckley is 19, so leaving her is hard—and I felt completely at ease knowing she was in Kristins care. She was thoughtful, caring, and wonderful. Highly recommend! ❤️”

“Matthew takes great care of our cat. This is his second assignment with her. He spends time with her and makes sure all of her needs are met. We are very pleased with his level of service.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs through friends, family, and personal experience. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, administering basic care, and giving plenty of love and attention. I’m always eager to learn your dog’s unique needs and preferences. I work from home on Thursdays and Fridays and have most weekends free, allowing me to provide attentive, loving care and plenty of quality time for your fur babies When babysitting pets in my home, I have a fully fenced backyard where they can safely go outside when needed, and I live in a great neighborhood for walks. I always follow the pet’s routine and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care.
“Lyn and Lennie were amazing! we had all sorts of construction going on in our home during their drop in visits and they handled everything like pros. They provided our dogs with little slices of heaven mid day. can’t say enough about their care - top notch!”

“Megan did a great job of communicating, taking pictures of my dog, walking him, feeding him, and making him feel loved. I would absolutely recommend Megan and rebook again when possible!”
“Our experience with Rezvan was fantastic. Our dogs were so well taken care of and she did an amazing job making sure they were happy and healthy and great! Will not hesitate to hire her again next time we need a dog sitter!”

“When it comes to promptness, Jill is the sitter of choice. She came at the agreed upon time (two times a day for a week), sent pictures to document my cat's wellness, provided food and water, administered meds, brought in the mail, etc. It is obvious that she has compassion for animals and takes pride in a job well done. I will not hesitate to use her again!”

“Phung was great!! She is so nice and was so good with my cat, Luna! I was not worried while I was away one bit!! She updated me every visit and sent me the best pictures of Luna each time!! I would recommend her to all and I would definitely use her again!”

“Brooke was great! We met with her a few weeks before we went out of town so she could meet us and our pets, and she immediately made us feel comfortable. She took great care of not only our dog, but also our tortoise and fish, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. She was kind, reliable, and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. We would definitely recommend her and would absolutely book with her again!”

“I can’t say enough good things about our cat walker, Mia! She has been absolutely amazing with my two ragdoll boys, Loki and Thor. Not only does she take them on their walks, but she also did drop-in visits while I was out of town—and I had complete peace of mind the entire time. What really sets her apart is how interactive and engaged she is with them. She doesn’t just show up and go through the motions—she truly spends quality time encouraging them to explore, play, and of course, get plenty of cuddles. It’s so clear she genuinely loves what she does, and even more importantly, she truly loves my boys. Loki and Thor adore her. They literally cry at the door when they know she’s coming, which says everything. Seeing how excited they get and how comfortable they are with her makes it an easy decision every time—I’ve already booked her multiple times and will continue to do so. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets like her own, Mia is the one. She goes above and beyond, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I grew up caring for a house full of pets—including a cat, parakeets, fish, and even a couple of snapping turtles—and have loved both cats and dogs throughout my life. As an adult, I was lucky enough to spend 11 years with our beloved German Shepherd mix, Evie. We completed obedience training together, and I have plenty of hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding, routines, training reinforcement, playtime, and all the everyday care that comes with sharing your life with a dog. As Evie got older, I also gained experience caring for a senior dog through arthritis and, eventually, a period of significant illness. Her needs changed considerably during her final months, so I’m comfortable administering oral medications, keeping an eye on changes in appetite or behavior, adapting routines for an older or less-active dog, and understanding when something just doesn’t seem quite right. I’ve also cared for pets for neighbors and understand how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pet while you’re away. Since losing Evie in 2022, we haven’t been ready to bring another pet into our family, so I’d genuinely love the opportunity to spend some time caring for yours. I’m dependable, attentive, patient, and—most importantly—I truly enjoy being around animals. I’m self-employed and set my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to work pet care into my day. I’m generally available for morning visits beginning around 8:30 AM, as well as midday and afternoon care. I can build walks, potty breaks, playtime, meals, and plenty of attention into each pet’s normal routine, and I’m happy to follow the schedule they’re accustomed to at home. I know consistency matters, especially when pets are away from their people, so I’m happy to follow the schedule they’re accustomed to at home. We are a family of four with two children, ages 10 and 7, and our home has a fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time and potty breaks. We don’t currently have any pets of our own, so visiting dogs won’t need to adjust to other resident animals. I know every pet has different routines, boundaries, and comfort levels, and I’ll follow your instructions closely—from feeding and walks to medications, crate routines, sleeping arrangements, and house rules. I’m also happy to learn about your pet’s personality, triggers, quirks, and favorite things before their stay so we can make our home feel as comfortable and familiar as possible.
“Catherine was so patient and sweet with my pup, I felt very comfortable letting her into my home while I was away to give some doggie love and let her out to potty.”

“This is the first time using a pet sitting service. Marty/Marshall were very accommodating and Bailey seemed very happy when we came home. Her skin was not as red as it is when she returns from the kennels.”

“Jamie checked in our pets while we were gone for the weekend. She was a life saver when our original plans fell through. She is very punctual, and she sent us videos during her visits. We will definitely her again!”

About: Over the years, I’ve rescued and trained several puppies, helping them find loving homes. My experience with animals began in childhood, where I cared for multiple pets who lived long, happy lives. This lifelong connection with animals has given me the skills and dedication to provide exceptional care. I am currently available at all times, including early mornings, late nights, and any day of the week. Whether it’s a quick walk, extended pet care, or last-minute needs, I can adjust to your schedule and provide reliable, attentive service. My flexibility ensures your pet gets the care they need, whenever they need it. I have a strong understanding of animal behavior and body language, allowing me to anticipate their needs and reactions in various situations. I also have the necessary tools and equipment to maintain control and ensure the safety of all parties at all times, providing a secure and stress-free experience for both the pets and their owners.

Kristen did a wonderful job caring for my chihuahua, bulldog, and kitty while I was gone. She kept in close communication with me and sent me photos during each visit. She even washed their dirty dishes and took out the trash because it was full! My pets received lots of loving care and attention during my absence. I highly recommend Kristen and plan to have her care for my pets again!

Madeline was awesome! This was our second time booking with Madeline and she was great again! She is communicative, followed my directions, and very caring towards my pup. He seemed very happy when we returned home, I’m grateful for her help! Would highly recommend

Daniel has been such a great help for our family, he’s been a reliable weekly sitter for our five year old doodle mix. He is a very good communicator and our dog LOVES hanging out with him. Daniel matches our dog’s energy and I feel comfortable having him do weekly drop in visits in our home.

Katherine was wonderful with our puppy! She had such a calming presence and immediately picked up on his cues for what he needed. She was incredibly detail oriented and was able to follow an extensive schedule for our puppy. We are hoping to be able to use Katherine as our primary sitter in the future!

Brendan was amazing. He was timely with his check-ins, administered my cats insulin without issue and even went above and beyond one day when my power was out and he couldnt get in. I will 100% be booking with him again for any future cat sitting needs I have. Thanks again!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
