“Addison was incredible! Not only did she take great care of our cat, but her consistent communication and love for animals really made our experience that much better. We will definitely be booking her any chance we get!”

“Andrea was reliable and the dogs seemed to enjoy her visits. She also took care of the extra stuff like keeping my plants watered, bringing in packages and filling the bird feeder.”
“Kaitlin is great! She has watched our cats a few times now and always does a great job!! I love her detailed description of how the animals are doing, along with the photos. She makes sure they have fresh food and water, cleans the litter box, and gives them plenty of love!”

“Ellie has been such a wonderful pet sitter, and I always feel at ease knowing my pets are in her care. She’s reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring with animals. You can tell she truly loves what she does because she goes above and beyond to make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. She’s also great with communication, keeping me updated and making the entire experience stress-free. I’ve worked with Ellie multiple times now, and every experience has been positive. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.”

About: My ambition is to give your dogs a vacation experience while you are on vacation! They will feel at home, safe, loved, spoiled and pampered. We only keep one family’s dogs at a time, so your babies will get the royal treatment! I look forward to serving you! I am a homeschool mom with a very flexible schedule. I have plenty of time for walks, playing and caring for your beloved fur baby. Plus, we will be focused on your pet alone, so they do not ever have to share tummy scratches! I have a designated room for your dogs. I have a fenced yard and a large walking path behind our home for them to explore.
“We needed a dog sitter last minute and Kathleen came to the rescue!! She was so accommodating in meeting quickly and doing a meet and greet with our dog Riley who instantly enjoyed her presence. Kathleen is also such a great communicator! She sent 13 photos and left a note about her visit. We honestly lucked out with Kathleen as she’s also very nurturing/caring with Riley’s health needs. We highly recommend her and will be using her again in the near future!”

“Magdalene came very last minute for a visit due to unforeseen flight delays and was amazing with the pups! She provided so much love and attention, played with them in the yard, and stayed extra time to make sure they were situated prior to leaving. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Thank you so much for handling the unexpected clean up for Bandit!! You did a great job with the dogs. Thank you soo much!! Pretty sure Vader still misses you! Brooke”

“Alpa was amazing!! It was the first time that we left our animals with someone else besides a family member and she was great. She is a true professional in this field and will will definitely will be using her again. Thank you Alpa for everything”

About: My family and I grew up rescuing Great Danes. I love the gentle giants. I’m a sucker for the big boys. However, my family has a mix of cats, big dogs, small dogs, horses & ponies. I’m very familiar with animal care and having a gentle approach towards gaining their trust and respect. Try me out and I know you’ll be content with my service provided! :-) I also did Wag! for a year and got certified to train and manage dogs specifically. Pet care fits into my daily and weekly routine because: I am currently a student. I’m taking a couple of classes. Both classes are remote and I can access the materials at any time. This is convenient for me to travel and even work throughout the week, at different flexible times. I’m flexible! I care for pets by watching and observing their behavior: to me, to certain sounds, etc. It’s so important for me, who is meeting the pet for the first time, to monitor how the pet is managing with meeting a new person without their trusted owners there with them. Most of the time pets are timid with me initially, but with a slow approach, a soft loving voice, and being spoiled by maybe one too many treats lol, they quickly find a friend in me. They know I would do anything to protect them. I truly love animals more than people .. lol.
About: I have had dogs nearly my entire life. And a variety of other pets sporadically, like fish, hamsters guinnea pigs and others. I have also been blessed to have been a rescue foster and the reward of helping heal thier emotional and physical health and finding their Furever homes. I understand pets are family. I work from home FT so most availability is evenings and weekends. If you are super close by, I may be able to dropins during the week days. I am comfortable with all sizes ( we have 3 dogs 50-120 lbs) and do respect your training protocols. I always check the fences and gates before letting them out in the yard.
“Vicky was so communicative and thorough before and during her care for Cléo. Thank you so much for taking good care of her for us and accommodating a very last minute request!! We appreciate you 🥰🥰”

“I can’t recommend Tanna highly enough! She took amazing care of my dog while I was away, and I came home to a happy, relaxed pup. From the start, communication was clear, friendly, and consistent. She provided updates, photos, that gave me peace of mind throughout the stay. My dogs clearly felt comfortable and well-loved in her care. Tanna followed all instructions carefully and went above and beyond by giving extra playtime and attention. It’s obvious she truly cares about animals and treat them like family. If you're looking for someone reliable, responsible, and genuinely caring, Tanna is the perfect choice. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! --- Let me know if you'd like it to be more casual, humorous, or personalized with specific details.”

“Anna was great with visiting our dog twice day. She sent photos which helped us know our dog was eating and enjoying the visits. She adjusted to a change in our schedule easily and responded quickly to every inquiry we sent through the app. We would definitely use her again.”

“Very easy to work with and made sure my cat was good on my 2 week trip, kept his litter clean and food/water full. He is a very playful cat so she made sure to take him outside and play with him a lot which really is great for him. Would highly recommend”

Mary was great at updating us in how our dog was doing and we really appreciate all the details she gives us! She was also proactive in cleaning up after our dog knocked over her water bowl, and ensured to meet all of our request👍🏼 Definitely recommend booking with her as she’s always the sweetest!

Lindsay’s very helpful. Our dog is not potty-trained yet. Ika made quite a bit accidents. Lindsay helped us clean the accidents and made sure to keep us updated about our pet. She really care about our dog’s wellbeing and paid attention to details. She responded quickly and was very descriptive of what she did. Thank you so much for your service, Lindsay!
We appreciate the time and patience with Georgia and Charlie as this was their very first dog sitting experience. Randi was great. Lucky to have found her here on Rover. She’s exceptional and we look forward to booking for future dog sitting/boarding needs again. Thank you so much for caring for our babies.

Morgan took such great care of our cat while we were away for more than a week. She came by before our trip to meet us, spend time with our cat, and go over all of the care instructions. While we were gone, she was always on time, kept our home clean, and sent regular updates and pictures so we always knew our kitty was doing well. It was obvious she gave our cat lots of love and attention, and when we got home, our cat was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. The best part was that we never had to worry while we were away. It's not easy to find someone you can truly trust with your home and your pet, and Morgan is absolutely that person. We'll definitely be booking her again, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter. Your pets will be in great hands!
Karina was amazing with my corgi! I highly recommend her. She was professional and warm! Early for our meet greet! She comes to walk my dog in the time range we discussed and communicates with me prior to arrival. She takes great care of my pup and we look forward to having her again soon! Thank you again Karina!

Nicole is someone I TRUST with my cats!!! She took the time to meet them, understand their needs and nuances as my older orange ladies are snowflakes - no one else is like them. Jokes aside, she communicated with me so clearly and perfectly for me to feel comfortable about my ladies when we were far from home. Nicole’s care, time, and natural animal love shines through in what she did for our ladies

Christine is the absolute BEST! We feel so extremely fortunate to have found her many years ago. She’s watched both our sweet late Cinnamon girl; and now our two morkies. They absolutely love her! Lots of attention and love and updates with pictures! We prefer home visits and we feel relieved and good knowing someone so reliable and responsible is there with them when we are away. Thank you so much for all the exceptional care and many pictures! Can’t recommend Christine highly enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
