“Ellie is fantastic! My fur baby Hazel is shy with new people but Ellie had great energy on their first meeting and allowed Hazel to open up to her on her own time! I trust Ellie with my previous fur baby because I know she treats Hazel like she’s her own dog. Ellie is also great with adjusting to my changing schedule which I really appreciate. I would definitely recommend Ellie!”

“Andrea helped me by stopping in for a visit for my dog that has special needs and needs medication while I was in town for a wedding. She was very kind and responsive. I am incredibly grateful to have found her.”

About: I have approximately one year of hands-on dog sitting experience caring for both senior and younger dogs while their owners are out of town. My responsibilities include daily check-ins, feeding, ensuring fresh water, potty breaks, companionship, and maintaining a calm, comfortable environment. Caring for dogs of different ages has strengthened my patience and reinforced the importance of consistent routines, exercise, and attentive, individualized care. I am currently a stay-at-home dog mom to Coco, which allows me to have very flexible availability and respond to messages quickly throughout the day. In my home, I have one dog, a 9-year-old Yorkie–Schnauzer mix who weighs 11 pounds. She is playful, sweet, and enjoys walks and playing with her toys. I provide regular playtime, potty breaks as needed, and 20–30 minute walks depending on weather conditions. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I offer reliable check-ins that include ensuring pets have fresh food and water, taking them outside for potty breaks, and spending quality time with them so they feel comfortable and not lonely.

About: Growing up in me old neighborhood all my neighbors would come to me to take care of their pets when they went out on vacations because they saw how much I really loved to be around animals and how much I knew about how to care for them. I’ve come home from college and now I’m working part time usually in the morning meaning I have time throughout the day to watch over and care for new pets! I have a fenced yard outside a pretty spacious interior and younger siblings who love animals as much as I do that will keep your fur baby entertained!
“We needed a dog sitter last minute and Kathleen came to the rescue!! She was so accommodating in meeting quickly and doing a meet and greet with our dog Riley who instantly enjoyed her presence. Kathleen is also such a great communicator! She sent 13 photos and left a note about her visit. We honestly lucked out with Kathleen as she’s also very nurturing/caring with Riley’s health needs. We highly recommend her and will be using her again in the near future!”

About: I have been involved in pet care since I was 12. My family runs a Labrador breeding business that I managed, so I have cared for dogs from newborn puppies to seniors. In fact, I took care of my senior Labrador, Beacon, until he was 12, including administering medication, performing physical therapy, and lifting his 120-pound self into my car! It takes a lot of experience to read a dog's body language and ensure that you give them a sense of comfort, so I pride myself on paying attention to a dog's behavior when I first meet them. I am your one-stop shop for your pet's needs, whether it's spoon-feeding, exercising, medicating, or simply just spending quality time with them. You can trust that when your pet is in my care, you'll never have to worry. I recently graduated from SMU in Dallas with an MBA. Caring for pets is my passion, and I want to make a career of it. I reside in Frisco, but I am willing to travel within the greater DFW area to care for your pets! I am very available throughout the week and weekends and have a reliable car for transportation. I will follow your directions to the letter and respect your home. I will take meeting your pup or kitty for the first time in stages, so as not to overwhelm them. Building trust without rushing is important to ensure a positive experience. If your pet is not social with other pets, I will be sure to keep that in mind when walking them.

My goal is to provide a relaxed, safe space for your pet where they can feel at ease while you’re away
“I have no words for Anika. She literally went over & beyond when taking care of Dallas during such a stressful time in my life. A lot of what I do requires last minute movement & she not only was tentative but also did a great job of communicating, on top being warm & welcoming. She treated Dallas with so much love, I could tell once I got home he didn’t skip a beat. THANK YOU Anika. I hope I can find another you once we move!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Frisco
Ellie was caring, dependable, and flexible while watching our older dog and young cat. She took the time to meet the individual needs of each pet and always kept us updated with great communication. I would definitely trust her to provide the best care for them again in the future. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Madi is amazing, I am so excited to call on her again soon. She went above and beyond to care for our kittens while we were far away and the reassurance she gave was so helpful. She also helped clean up and do some odd chores for us around the house and we are so grateful. My cats are normally very shy but she made them feel safe and gave them so much attention and love. Thankyou Madi!!!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Morgan! She took such thoughtful care of Sayuri and Sumi and gave detailed updates that really put us at ease while we were away. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals. she noticed their personalities, spent time playing with them, and kept us updated on how they were doing emotionally as well as physically. Coming home to happy, well-cared-for cats made such a difference. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.

Kayla is fantastic. We've had her do multiple drop in visits for our puppy and she's great with him and he loves her. She's on time and was graciously flexible when we were initially trying to figure out the schedule for our first few visits. Highly recommended!

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Frisco stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Frisco. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
