“We didn't have the chance to actually meet Kristine before we went out of town, so we were taking a chance! She was the best pet sitter we had thus far! Awesome feedback every time she hung with the pup... sent pics and I could tell she was actually spending time with them! That makes us so happy and thankful! Will save her for our next time for sure!!! No problems at all!”

“Casandra was great with Juno! Juno is very particular on who he likes and immediately at the meet and greet Juno was very receptive to Casandra! Thank you so much for taking care of my fur baby”

“Stephanie was absolutely amazing. Not only did she bring toys and treats for our fur babies, but she noticed one was sick right away. She helped get her to the vet and took care of her in her major time of need. I could not recommend her more!”

“Nadia was super amazing. She took care of my cats while I was gone and took care of my house while I was out. She made sure things were cleaned and in place while I was out. She is super responsive, very detailed and I would trust her a million times over. I look forward to hiring her more often.”

About: My family and I currently have two pups( 13 years old + an 8 month old) who we walk daily and love on constantly. The eldest(Samson) has been spoiled and receives every meal accompanied by some sort of treat to get the process going but he is extremely friendly and well behaved. Our newest (Pepper) eats everything and wants to play always, which means we give her lots of walks and play time outside. Samson is getting older and over the years we have had to have him on medication or been very watchful if he was acting out of character or lethargic. This has trained my eyes to just be ever present when caring for pets and to always treat them as family worthy of our attention and love. I've been tasked with sporadically pet sitting my girlfriends cats and have had no issues ever. Added experience pet sitting for my friend and his many German Shepherds. Finally I work as a Personal Trainer and part time unofficial care giver to my 94 year old Grandfather, my patience is unmatched. I currently work as an independent Personal Trainer + Unofficial care giver. My schedule tends to be flexible but staying in steady communication with clients is always front of mind so as to avoid conflicting scheduling. My pets are held in a higher regard than a fair amount of people I meet. They simply mean so much to my family and I. We stress over their eating habits, exercise levels, sleep schedules etc etc. Every pet I care for receives that same family-like attention and compassion, guaranteed.

“Sarah has been amazing to say the least. We had to find someone quickly to take care of our pups during the week while we were away during the day and Sarah was extremely responsive and sweet. I look forward to having her help in the future ❤️🐾🦴”

About: I've had pet dogs my entire life, from puppies all the way to the stubborn old dog living with me now! I have also volunteered at animal shelters for a total of five years, where I learned a lot about how to care for various ages and breeds of dogs. Additionally, my current dog is a senior and is partially blind and deaf, so I am experienced in caring for older dogs who may have special needs. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I have a very flexible schedule! I can definitely accommodate any walks or potty breaks your pup might need, and I can also be home if your pup has separation anxiety or needs a closer eye kept on them. I have a fenced yard and two children with lots of energy to keep your pup entertained! My neighborhood has plenty of walking trails, as well as a dog park. I do have a dog in my home, as well; he is a senior and very laid-back and calm. So we are also happy to hang out with lower energy dogs who might just enjoy snuggles and lots of naps.

“Tank is not use to strangers, but Chelsie was patient with Tank allowing him to come to her in his time, which is important for Tank especially being a senior, I plan to book again.”

“Breanna was so great with Bentley! She was on time, fed him, let him go potty a few times and played with him! It was just what he needed! :) I will definitely be using Breanna in the future and you should too!!”

“Ashley did an awesome job dropping in on our cat, Sam, while we were visiting family for Christmas. She was thorough, punctual, and communicated clearly. She watered my husband's plants, sent pictures for every visit, and my antisocial cat warmed up to her quickly. We will definitely book with her again in the future!”

About: I have been around all types of animals since the age of 4. I have been trusted by neighbors, friends and family to bathe, feed, administer medications, walk and play with their dogs and cats. I am responsible and understand that your pet is a member of your family, not just an accessory. I will love and respect your pet as well as your home. I am an artist and enjoy keeping my schedule flexible. I am awake by 6am most days and in bed by 10. I can fit the right family in on either a consistent or one-time basis. Currently, I am not able to keep pets in my home but I am happy to visit your home or house sit if you prefer.

About: I’m a pet mama to an active Border Collie, and a super chill cat, so I know exactly how to cater to different personalities. Regardless of whether your pet needs a good workout session, or quiet cuddles, I’ve got you covered! Growing up around animals naturally led to years of caring for the pets of family, friends, and neighbors. I'm completely comfortable with specialized care, from strict routines to administering medications if your pet isn't feeling their best. Leaving your fur babies with someone new can be stressful, I know. It’s very important to me that they feel safe, loved, and at ease. Reach out and connect with me, I’m always glad to help out. I understand how important it is for your pet to feel secure in their space. When I visit, I keep things calm and respectful, never rushing or overwhelming your pet. I follow instructions carefully, use positive reinforcement, and ensure your pet is comfortable, safe, and well cared for. I always treat your home and pet's routine with the same respect I’d want for my own.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cross Roads
I’m so grateful for Samantha! It’s a HUGE relief not having to worry about our pets while we’re gone. This isn’t our first time booking with Samantha- I highly recommend her as she has been very dependable, very thoughtful and easy to talk to. She went above and beyond and I’m so thankful to have found her!

Jaleeya was an absolute life saver! This is my first time leaving my kitties home without me and she made me feel so comfortable. She gave excellent care and updates at every visit. She treated my kitties like they were her own and they warmed up to her super fast and she became part of the pack! If I ever choose to leave again and need a helping hand I definitely am contacting Jaleeya!

Sawyer was AMAZING!! He took care of my two babies while I travelled to Las Vegas. Sawyer ended up being the real jackpot! Extremely dependable, kind, caring and very polite. So glad I found him; instantly had good vibes the second I met him. If you need someone who will love your babies in your absence, Sawyer is that person! Thank you Rover!

Mikayla has been absolutely amazing to my pup and me! I was so nervous to leave my senior girl but Mikayla understands her complex needs and does exactly what is asked of her. She’s very thoughtful and spent time playing with my her and gave her plenty of pets! My other VERY people selective dog took to her immediately, and my youngest dog thinks Mikayla hung the moon! Instant besties with all three of my pups! Her check-ins and pictures give me peace of mind while I’m away! Appreciate all she does for us!

Diane took care of my two girls for a year and a half (drop ins and house- sitting). Because of her care, I was able to go to work worry-free and take week long trips knowing that my girls were in good hands. She is kind, flexible, communicative and completely trustworthy! And bonus- my dogs ADORE her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
