“Alpana did an excellent job taking care of our dog, Manbook. She was particularly good at keeping us informed on how he was doing and sent photos. Manbook seemed to get along with her dog. He was happy and well-adjusted when I picked him up and behaved well when I got home. We will surely call on Alpana again when I need to board my dog and recommend her.”

“Kathryn was great! I can tell her and her family have lots of experience caring for pups. The whole process from the meet & greet to pickup was very smooth and organized. Most importantly, my boy was well taken care of!”

“This was the first time we left our pup with someone outside of the family. Silvana was very thoughtful with my dog and kept us posted daily with updates and photos really helping us put our mind at ease while we were away. She went out of her way to make sure he was comfortable in her home, like letting him sleep in her bedroom since he has separation anxiety.”

“Where do I even begin Charlotte had an amazing time at Alexandra’s home. She took such good care of her. She kept me updated daily with photos and updates on how Charlotte was doing. “Blessen was amazing with my dog Hershey! He was kind, patient, and kept me updated daily with pictures and videos, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. He was also very responsive whenever I reached out. His dog Cody is super cool and was a great companion for Hershey. I also have to mention his wonderful family—they were warm, welcoming, and you can tell Hershey was in a loving environment the entire time. Overall, Blessen went above and beyond to make sure Hershey was comfortable, cared for, and happy. I would absolutely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring dog sitter. Your pet will be in excellent hands!”

“Chelsea R. Did a terrific job taking care of my dog. Keep me updated while watching her. Most importantly kept my dog happy 😊 and safe. Would absolutely request Chelsea again.”

“Amazing communication, daily pictures (multiple times a day), my dog looked happy the entire time. I love that she gets to socialize with other dogs as she is an “only fur-child” and doesn’t get to as often. I’m definitely going to be a repeat client when the need arises. Thank you Chee & Mark + family!”

“Hannah, Thanks so much for watching over chuño. You and the family were awesome and kept us inform of chuños whereabouts. We really appreciate all the love you gave him while we were on our trip.”

“Melina and her family were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable leaving our dog with them for the weekend. Thank you so much for taking such well care of our mini pin and for sending such cute pics throughout the stay. Thank you also for your quick responses and working around our schedule. We are looking forward to continue using your services in the future! Thanks again! ?”

“Ann is absolutely the best. Upon entering her home and meeting her I knew that my dogs were in good hands. She's very knowledgeable and has a very good sense of your pets needs. We hope to continue to be able to leave our fur babies with her from now on.”

About: We are a dog loving family! With 3 kids (age 10+), your pet will have plenty of cuddles and playtime in the fully fenced backyard. We have one small dog, a (vaccinated) mini goldendoodle, who loves to play with other pets. Pets here are treated as part of the family and participate in family activities indoor and out. I work from home full-time and usually have a dog sleeping under my desk or in my office chair while I work. There is plenty of time for potty breaks, mid-day walks, and frisbee in the backyard. Pets are part of the family and are treated like one of the kids. They go outside only to play or potty, and are otherwise free to roam the entire downstairs of the house.
“Jennifer and her family are the best. Swisher is always happy and well taken care of. It is like leaving our fur baby with family. Thank you so much Jennifer. We really appreciate you guys and the peace of mind you give us when leaving Swisher while we travel.”

“We appreciate Jessica and Nathaniel so very much for welcoming our fur babies into their home and with little notice! We loved how they immediately introduced and included them in their family! We look forward to many more exciting “field trips” for London, Roman & Ford! Thank you so much, Jessica and Nathaniel!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cross Roads
We had a wonderful experience. Sruthi took excellent care of our dog for over two plus weeks and kept us updated regularly with photos and messages. Our dog came back happy, healthy, and well cared for. Sruthi was kind, reliable, and clearly love animals. We felt completely at ease while we were away and would definitely trust them again. Highly recommended!

Clare was amazing! She took care of our dog for a little over a week. She sent pictures of Zoey everyday playing outside and looking great. Clare’s was extremely communicative as well. Highly recommend Clare and will definitely use her again when we need her. Thanks, Clare!

Mocha had an amazing time with Nikolas and his family! He stayed with them for 3 weeks which is the longest we’ve ever left him and he looked very happy throughout his stay! They took great care of Mocha, sent regular updates and pics through the day. Mocha enjoyed his daily frisbee time and of course the treats! Highly recommend Nikolas and his family!

Kelly and her husband Wayne took great care of our Mini Dachshund, Willow. They had a clean and well kept home, so she couldn’t get into too much trouble. They were accommodating and did an amazing job watching and playing with her. We got frequent updates and pictures, so we always knew how she was doing. They enjoyed the company of Willow so it felt like leaving her with family. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an attentive dog sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
