“Keri was extremely accommodating and professional during scheduling and throughout our fur baby’s stay. You can tell she knows her K9s and really loves them all. We had a rough start introducing our pup to hers, but Keri ensured our pup was comfortable and even noticed her needing extra privacy at times. She also gave us daily updates, pics and videos of her which put us at great ease!”

“Vidya and her family were amazing! They took the best care of my dog Daisy and sent constant updates and videos. She was quite happy the entire stay 🙂. I can definitely recommend them for care of your dog.”

“It was such a fun and exciting vacation for my pet with Andrew, Joy and their puppies. Looking at the pictures and videos that were shared regularly by them, he seemed to have a blast. They took very good care of special diet needs, walking and playing with him. Andrew and Joy both understood our unique needs and took care of it. They paid attention to every details. Awesome guys !!! Will be boarding our pup soon with them, during the next vacation.”

“Leilani did such a great job taking care of my dog. I received regular updates on how he was doing, he had a great time and was very comfortable staying with her. Would recommend Leilani highly and won't hesitate to book with her again.”

“Bethany had done a great job watching our two little messes. I received daily updates/ pictures. This assured me of their great care. In addition she reached out when one had too many treats and vomited. lol. I highly recommend this sitter who clearly loves fur babies.”

“Great pup sitters! My dogs came back so happy and overjoyed. Yvette gave me great updates to overcome some of my worries leaving them behind. You can tell that she and her husband really love dogs and they were in great hands! I would definitely recommend!”
“Marisa and James were absolutely amazing with my dog, Jax! From the start, communication was great. They sent regular updates and photos, which made me feel totally at ease while I was away. Jax can be a little shy at first, but he warmed up quickly thanks to their calm and caring personalities. When I got home, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. I’m so grateful to have found someone I can fully trust with him. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!”

“Chee and Mark helped us out with a last minute booking when our original dog sitter plans fell through. They were so responsive and sent plenty of pictures throughout our dog’s stay, and we never worried about whether she was in good hands! Will definitely book with Chee and Mark again.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our pet Cooper receives! We’ve availed Kamaleswaris’ dog-sitting services three times now, and each experience has been absolutely wonderful. Cooper genuinely loves going back, which says everything about the care, attention, and affection she gives him. Kamaleswari is very reliable, caring, and truly treats Cooper like her own. We always have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such safe and loving hands. Highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a trustworthy and amazing dog sitter! 🐾”

“Naga is the best! She took very great care of our frenchie/pug mix London. She provided daily updates and pictures while we were away which made us feel very close to her everyday activity. I highly recommend Naga!”

“Angela was great about sending pictures of our dog through out her 1 week stay over Christmas. Her home is very clean and cozy and a great yard for small dogs. I appreciated that she only takes one family at a time and did a meet and great prior to our stay to make sure the dogs got along. No issues.”

“We boarded our dog Mishti with Andrea & David for about 3 days. It was our first experience with them and it was wonderful. We got multiple updates about Mishti including pictures and it really helped us as we had never left Mishti before in boarding. Andrea was also very communicative and took our suggestions on feeding Mishti! Mishti looked happy during her stay and we couldn't have asked for more! Keeping Mishti with Andrea& David really soothed our nerves as we were going to drop off our daughter at college and had to deal with a lot of emotions! Thank you Andrea & David!”

“Kristen is a dream and so very caring & thoughtful. She learnt that it was Zara's birthday and made it super memorable for her. Zara has never come back happier from a boarding facility in 8 years!”

“Gladys did a wonderful job taking care of Abby for several days. Abby is a “Velcro” dog and gets very anxious when away from me. Abby had trouble the first night, but Gladys stuck with her and finally got her to sleep. I appreciate her dedication to help Abby adjust. After that, it was smooth sailing!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cross Roads
My family and I went out of town on a trip. We were not able to bring Bruno with us. Kelli responded to our request promplty and she was very accomodating. When she received Bruno in her home, he was immediately at ease. We enjoyed ourselves and had piece of mind that Bruno was receiving great care. We will definitely ask Kelli to look after Bruno again!

We had a wonderful experience. Sruthi took excellent care of our dog for over two plus weeks and kept us updated regularly with photos and messages. Our dog came back happy, healthy, and well cared for. Sruthi was kind, reliable, and clearly love animals. We felt completely at ease while we were away and would definitely trust them again. Highly recommended!

Clare was amazing! She took care of our dog for a little over a week. She sent pictures of Zoey everyday playing outside and looking great. Clare’s was extremely communicative as well. Highly recommend Clare and will definitely use her again when we need her. Thanks, Clare!

Mocha had an amazing time with Nikolas and his family! He stayed with them for 3 weeks which is the longest we’ve ever left him and he looked very happy throughout his stay! They took great care of Mocha, sent regular updates and pics through the day. Mocha enjoyed his daily frisbee time and of course the treats! Highly recommend Nikolas and his family!

Kelly and her husband Wayne took great care of our Mini Dachshund, Willow. They had a clean and well kept home, so she couldn’t get into too much trouble. They were accommodating and did an amazing job watching and playing with her. We got frequent updates and pictures, so we always knew how she was doing. They enjoyed the company of Willow so it felt like leaving her with family. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an attentive dog sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
