Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced in yard. I ask clients not to enter the yard without notifying me that they have arrived so no dogs get loose if they are outside. Additional locks have been added as an extra precaution. Dogs are also not left unattended for long periods of time while outside. Everyone is separated at feeding time and no food is left out if not eaten right away. I will use crates if I need to for safety reasons. So if you have one that you use at home I do ask for them if they can be transported. These are just a few things I do to ensure everyone is safe, happy, and well cared for, but there are many more…

Information Kelli H. would like to know about your pet

I can’t accept any females that aren’t spayed , the only exception would be a puppy that’s not going into heat anytime soon. Males that aren’t neutered will be crated if I am unable to supervise them for a period of time. If they don’t do well in a crate then we need to discuss this before we book. Veterinary contact information please update your dogs profile-if it’s not provided we will go to the ER vet, whichever one will get us in if we have too. Medical History/Medications/Instructions/Food Allergies How much food to feed/ please provide their food dish, it’s a surprise how many people don’t include that with their food ☺️ Any aggression issues/ particularly food while eating around other dogs, guarding of food with someone they don’t know and dog reactive on walks. Doesn’t like men, children or thunderstorms. I’ve even been told not to wear a baseball cap around someone’s dog. Whatever it is, let me know. Allowed on Furniture or no? Small to medium dog kennels will need to be provided by the owner if the dog has to be crated per owner instructions. If the dog can’t be left alone/ is destructive to household items… If you haven’t already done so, please fill out your pets profile on Rover to include at least the basic information or the things that would be helpful for the sitter to reference. Like some of the things I mentioned above are great! That way we don’t have to disturb you for those little things. Most people write them down, but those little pieces of paper get lost, wet, soaked in hot dog juice…. You name it, it happens. This is also helpful for when you request a booking, we like to be able to look over your notes before asking any questions. We can tell a lot by just some basic information.

A typical day

I absolutely love my neighborhood so we can get some great walks in if your dog needs some good exercise. My boys and I get some great mileage in whenever we can. I’ve got almost a 5 mile walk mapped out, a 2 mile, and a 1 mile around the block. All routes include ponds, ducks and turtles to keep the walk interesting. Does your dog like to swim? Mine love it, if it can be arranged and with your approval, we could make a trip to the lake and let them get their feet wet. Your dog has to recall and behave off leash. My boys go off leash, so I know yours would want to join in on that experience because I don’t get in the water with them. Other than that we just hang out and do whatever we want. The goal is to keep your dog stimulated, socialized and given a comfy place to relax when it’s time to rest it’s head. We have plenty of room for more company over here so we hope you’ll come see us.

Two Great Danes Seeking New Friends

Pet care experience

I have put meet and greets on hold for the month of July and August. I am not able to hold spots for the summer months. It is first come, first booked for new clients. I reserve the right to postpone these because of how busy I get. I also have to allow for the dogs that are here along with pick ups and drop offs that are already scheduled on Tuesday evenings. Please keep reading though… 😉 I UPDATE THIS SECTION REGULARLY SO PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTEN FOR NEW INFORMATION AND SCHEDULING DETAILS. ⭐️Hours of operation for owner drop off and pickup are as follows: 7:30am-7:30pm with 8:00pm being the absolute last minute of operation. I do apologize, but I can no longer make exceptions. I need rest too after caring for babies all day. If you can’t be here by 8pm sharp, you will have to make arrangements to pick up the next day. Please adjust your times accordingly. ⭐️ I do offer pickup and drop off services for an additional fee, and require some flexibility on time. If you will not be home I will need to be able to access your property on my own. We can discuss the details of this service once we are confirmed. ⭐️ Drop off and Pickup are by appointment only! I don’t allow windows for drop-off and pickup. Because of other scheduling with clients, walking dogs and personal errands, I have to know when you can be at my home. I prepare for delayed pickups because I know things can change with flights etc…but, if you find yourself delayed, with an arrival time that will be beyond 8:00pm, we will need to plan for a morning drop-off or pick-up starting at 7:30am. Think of this like setting an appointment for a specific time, and then being on time. Example: 7pm, not 5pm-8pm ⭐️ Meet and Greets will only be scheduled on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 7pm, with 7pm being the last time available, and that is if I am not fully booked, and it’s not a holiday. To many people are no calling and no showing for these once I schedule them, so it’s becoming hard to manage. If Tuesday does not work for you, or we don’t have time for one, we can schedule a phone call. Meet and Greets are not mandatory if you don't feel the need to have one. They are more for you than they are for me, your dog(s) will need a few days once they come stay to feel comfortable and settle in, and that is how I get to know them best. Please make sure to check out the reviews from my amazing clients! I appreciate each and every one of them! So, a little about us…. " I've had a dog in my life ever since I can remember, my life doesn't feel whole without the love of an animal. I am the proud momma of two wonderful Great Danes named Griffin and Johnny5. I know they would love to have your family members come and spend some time with them playing, and going on long walks around the neighborhood if we can fit these in. We currently live in a home with a fenced-in backyard, so we have plenty of room to run and play here as well. I am home all day so they will have regular cuddles on the couch and plenty of attention and potty breaks. They will be just as spoiled as my boys are, but if you send a dog bed with your loved one, my cat Hobbes will steal it. It’s always entertaining to watch it happen. Most of the time they end up lying there together. I will treat your pet just like they are my own. If you are looking for some last-minute boarding I'm very dependable and will send you regular updates and photos of your loved one having the time of its life! We can’t wait to meet you!

Kelli was extremely easy to work with and communicated better than I expected! I like how she introduced the dogs. This was my pups first rover experience and Kelli was great! If I lived in the area I would 100%book with her again! If she’s still doing rover next summer we will be back!

Having Kelli as a dog sitter for my dog was a great experience! She was very helpful with the drop off/ pick up instructions, and kept very good communication throughout the weekend, sharing multiple videos so that I could be up to date with how the stay was going. I would definitely recommend Kelli to anyone in need of a sitter!

Kelli was really excellent with my pets. Each day, she kept me abreast of how each pet was doing and sent video and pics showing their behavior. She took care good care of them during their stay. I would highly recommend her to all my friends and family.
