Buttercup is extremely attached to me and struggles with separation anxiety, but their engagement, attention, and playtime kept her from experiencing the sadness I’ve seen with other sitters. I’m always anxious when I have to travel somewhere I can’t take Buttercup because I worry she’ll feel abandoned. Andrew and Joy truly put my mind at ease. It was so comforting to see her bonding with their dog Oliver, going on walks together, playing, and even taking naps side by side. I still don’t enjoy leaving Buttercup behind when I travel, but Andrew and Joy's special care for Buttercup gave me real peace of mind knowing she was genuinely loved, cared for, and happy while I was away.”

About: Our family loves dogs. I can take care of dogs that are up to 25 lbs. We like giving lots of love and attention to our furry guests and enjoy playing in the backyard with them. Our 7 year old dog Chess is the sweetest host and has the best time when we have doggie friends over to play with and run around. I work from home so I’m always there to give them attention and lots of belly scratches. In the afternoons your dog will experience a full house with three older children who love to play and cuddle with our furry friends. Being a dog “mommy” myself I understand how important it is to make sure our puppies are well taken care off while we are out of town. Not only taking care of their basic needs, but making sure they get extra love while their humans are away. “Sarah is truly great! Upon meeting her, the dog instantly took a liking to her (and the cat did not take off under the bed). She quickly jumped in and has been a blessing as she comes in and gives the dog a potty break and a chance to stretch her legs/burn off some energy. About: I’ve had a dog since I was 8 years old, and for the past 10 years I’ve learned a lot about taking care of him. Feeding him everyday, bathing him, learning what he likes and dislikes, and just giving him lots of love! My mom is an avid cat owner with at least 7 cats, and I have two of my own. I’ve gotten very patient at dealing with animals, which is one of my best qualities, as well as the fact that I am the biggest dog lover, I treat every single one like they’re angels! Because they honestly are! During this summer and I am free. On August 19 my semester starts, where I’m busy from 11a-4p on mondays, 12a-7p on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 9a-12p on Fridays. Wednesday are open for me. The semester ends around December 13. And then in early January, I go on a week long vacation with my family. I am well aware that every pet has different personalities and needs. Of course there are the basics for every pet: make sure they have enough water, food, a place to use the bathroom, and the ability to relax and let out their energy. I can definitely provide them play time as I am young and energetic myself. But I also consider myself attentive to the needs of animals. Usually when I meet someone’s pet for the first time I try to figure out what they want and what I can do in order to make them happy, even if it’s just for a brief second. I read a book a few years ago by Alexandra Horowitz which is all about what is going on inside a dog’s head, and it really helped shape my understanding of them. I know cats are different, and in my experience they tend to be more low maintenance (though not all of them), but generally it’s usually about patience and letting them feel independent. I feel like my understanding of a dogs (and cats) needs is in tune, and if not, then I always try to figure it out and help provide it. About: I have taken care of dogs the size of a mini pony, to the size of a cup. I love all sizes of dogs and, can’t wait to meet your furry friend. I am currently working full time as a dental assistant. I do have time on the weekends to stay and watch your furry friend. As well as I’m also a college student currently. I can make my schedule work around yours. I have one pitbull boxer mix that’s very friendly. As well as a fenced in home. I can also crate my dog if that is an issue.

It was so hard to be away from him but Brittani and her family made Niko right at home, and made me completely comfortable during his stay.
