“Very reliable! Always provides great communication and is very patient with my dog. You can tell that Janak loves what they do and will always give your pet the attention they need. Highly recommend and will always reach out if they are available!”

“Casandra did a FANTASTIC JOB watching and looking after our lovely kitten Charlene for an entire week. I would rate Casandra higher than 5 stars if it were possible! :) If you are looking for a top-of-the-line experienced and very professional pet sitter, then you need not look any further than Casandra! :)”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I've cared for my own pets as well as those of friends, family, and neighbors. Whether it's a long walk, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a specific routine, I enjoy making pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I'm currently not working, so I have plenty of time to spare and an open schedule to help keep your pet company throughout the day. Safety is my top priority. I carefully follow owner instructions, use secure leashes and harnesses, monitor pets closely during walks and visits, and maintain a safe environment at all times. I also provide regular updates and am quick to communicate any concerns to pet owners.

About: “Hey! I’m Loki, a 35-year-old pet sitter with previous experience working for a professional company (‘Wags in the City’ in Charlotte, NC) and lots of happy repeat clients. I recently moved here with my two dogs and I’m used to caring for everything from goofy puppies to senior pets who need a gentler pace. I offer in-home care, walks, drop-ins, and backyard play for dogs and cats, whether you’re on vacation or working long hours. I’m available most afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special instructions your pet needs. Message me with any questions—can’t wait to meet your furry buddy.” Part time walker and sitter availability within 30 miles of The Colony area. Pet care is important to me and I have a lot of experience I want to make your pets comfortable while your at work or on vacation and safety is very important to me. I will care for your furry friend like it was my own cat or dog!

About: I have ALWAYS had a passion for animals; I have grown up with them my entire life. Owning a small vintage business allows me to be home often which offers me a lot of time to help out. There is a dog park located less than 3 miles from my apartment if you have an active pup or if you have a lazy one we can just chill. I don’t mind if your dog/cat likes to jump, bark/meow, chew, run, make a mess, etc. I am up for any challenge. I will acclimate to whatever type of animal you need me to. I consider myself a loving, ambitious, and energetic person and I’d be honored to take care of your baby/babies! Owning my own business allows me to be quite flexible with my schedule. I can pop in and out to walk, feed or just check on your animal. Having an apartment and a dog of my own might seem like a con, but the amount of space I have is more than enough. My apartment is 1300 sq. ft with a lot of grass area on the exterior. I’m also located near a beautiful shaded neighborhood for safe and cool walks.
About: I have had dogs nearly my entire life. And a variety of other pets sporadically, like fish, hamsters guinnea pigs and others. I have also been blessed to have been a rescue foster and the reward of helping heal thier emotional and physical health and finding their Furever homes. I understand pets are family. I work from home FT so most availability is evenings and weekends. If you are super close by, I may be able to dropins during the week days. I am comfortable with all sizes ( we have 3 dogs 50-120 lbs) and do respect your training protocols. I always check the fences and gates before letting them out in the yard.
“Aubrey is wonderful! She is extremely punctual, a great communicator, very sweet, and so great with my very anxious puppy. She’s very knowledgeable about quality care for pets and always leaves great post visit summaries which gives me great peace of mind while I’m away at work. Definitely book Aubrey!!! ❤️”

About: I have had dogs my whole life and have learned so much because of that. I had three Miniature Schnauzers with my family, and now I have two (big) dogs of my own! I have been through every stage with all of my pups and made sure they were getting all the support and care they needed. I have always been able to build connections with dogs right away, just because of how passionate I am about animals. I will treat your furbabies as my own and make sure they get the best care possible. I am currently not working, so I have lots of time to take care of your pups! I am available Mon - Thursday from 6 am to 3 pm. This is my main focus, so I can make sure I am doing everything I can to support your furbabies! I have two big dogs who are 1 and 8 years old, and I spend most of my time with them. They are such cuddle puppies, which I absolutely love, but I also love playing with them as much as I am able to. I am definitely more of a homebody and am not able to do a lot of physical activity, but I am always willing to be good company and take care of them the best I can.
“I would highly recommend her! We had her come on our 10 day trip and she was great, she cleaned and was very attentive to our cats, she treated them like they were her own. Any problem that came up she let us know as soon as possible, and was in communication with us throughout the entire process. Our cats absolutely loved playing with her, even our shy cat loved her. She was very thoughtful and thorough with her updates and sent us lots of pictures of our fur babies!”

About: I’ve been a dedicated dog owner for over 20 years and truly treat every dog like family. In addition to raising my own pups, I’ve fostered dogs, volunteered with a rescue organization, and have been providing pet care through Rover since 2019. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for hundreds of dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your dog loves to play, cuddle, or simply relax, I’ll provide the same love, attention, and care that I give my own. My goal is to make sure both you and your pup feel comfortable, confident, and stress-free while you’re apart. About me: Typically I work from home 2 days a week but those days are flexible and I’m home on the weekends. I volunteer for DFW Boxer Rescue and have fostered a couple dogs for them. I am a HUGE Boxer lover so if you have a Boxer...🙋🏼♀️ please, pick me!! If you want to know more about me or see photos and videos of my Rover dogs feel free to ask for any photos and/or videos. When I say that I treat pets like my children, it is no exaggeration! We treat all dogs like they are our own and they even sleep in the bed with us. I have crates for when they are needed (or wanted) but I do not require them nor do I want to use them unless necessary (which is mainly for meal time). I prefer for the dogs to roam the house and get comfortable like this is their own home.
About: I have been involved with dog rescue and pet care since I was about 10 years old. From caring for mistreated dogs all the way to training potential police K9 dogs, I have seen it all. My favorite dogs were always the most difficult ones that no one else wanted to help because they deserve love too. I can help work with younger dogs and leash/obedience training. I work from home so I can also attend to any age dog and have around the clock care. I have a 10 year old French Bulldog who has her own stroller, and I would gladly spoil your dog as much as I do her! I currently work from home so I am able to have around the clock care for your pup. I walk my dog 4 times a day: 9am, 1pm, 5 pm, 9pm, so your pet would be on this same schedule for walks and overnight stays. I am flexible on drop in visits! I have a fenced backyard on my apartment so your pup is safely confined but we also have dog parks + trails that I walk around on leash!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - The Colony
We had a wonderful experience with Lana during a drop in visit with our dog, Finn. She was extremely communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and kept us updated the whole time. Since we were from out of town, she even shared great local recommendations for places to eat and things to do nearby. Her thoughtfulness made everything so much easier, and we’d happily recommend her to anyone looking for dependable, kind pet care.

I booked Ember after having to take a last minute trip for work. She agreed to a meet and greet on such short notice, was punctual during her check ins, and remained incredibly calm and professional when I accidentally came home a day early and totally forgot to met her know 💀. I would trust her with Riley again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!

We were super grateful Sarah was able to drop in on short notice when our usual sitter couldn’t arrive in time for a potty break before a long weekend. The pups loved her, she followed our weirdly specific instructions to a T, and she provided plenty of photos! Highly recommend.

Christine is the absolute BEST! We feel so extremely fortunate to have found her many years ago. She’s watched both our sweet late Cinnamon girl; and now our two morkies. They absolutely love her! Lots of attention and love and updates with pictures! We prefer home visits and we feel relieved and good knowing someone so reliable and responsible is there with them when we are away. Thank you so much for all the exceptional care and many pictures! Can’t recommend Christine highly enough!

Amber was absolutely fantastic! She was very communicative throughout the entire stay and kept me updated with plenty of pictures, which gave me peace of mind knowing Louie was doing well. She followed all of my care instructions exactly as requested and made sure Louie was comfortable and well cared for. She went above & beyond while Louie was in her care. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the pets she watches. I would highly recommend Amber to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and caring pet sitter, and I would gladly book with her again!

We have used Nana & Scott three times now I believe and each time, we have felt so confident that our pups are in wonderful hands. They communicate with us so well, love on our dogs, and give us each the peace of mind we need to enjoy our trips without worry. Booking with Nana & Scott is a no brainer.

Aubrey is wonderful! She is extremely punctual, a great communicator, very sweet, and so great with my very anxious puppy. She’s very knowledgeable about quality care for pets and always leaves great post visit summaries which gives me great peace of mind while I’m away at work. Definitely book Aubrey!!! ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
