“I had an amazing experience with Cheryl as my pet sitter! She took care of my cat, Abu, for a few days, and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Cheryl went above and beyond to ensure Abu was happy and safe. He can be a bit shy, but he really warmed up to her, which says a lot about her gentle and caring character. Not only did she keep Abu well-fed and entertained, but she also kept his litter box spotless and my apartment super clean. It was a relief to know he was being taken care of well. Cheryl was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a special bond with cats. I’ll definitely be rebooking her for future trips. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and knowledgeable pet sitter.”

“Kathrine was outstanding, so calming and kind. Hank was well cared for and comfortable while we were gone. She communicated well. So thankful I found Kathrine! I highly recommend her!”

“Christine showed great attention to detail and care for my very needy cat. She gave good updates and really made sure he got the attention he needed. You can feel relaxed knowing she is on the job.”
“Marybeth did great with the "boys" they were happy and thrived at home versus going to a kennel while I was gone. Marybeth kept me up to date on what was going on with both dogs and I received texts and pics from each check in.”

“I can't recommend Kathleen enough! Her punctuality and reliability gave me complete peace of mind while I was out of state helping my father recover after his surgery. Thank you!”

“John did a great job. He look after our cat for 5 days. My cat was happy with him. Food bowls were filled, water fountain was clean and litter was also clean. I will be glad to book him again.”

“Addison was incredible! Not only did she take great care of our cat, but her consistent communication and love for animals really made our experience that much better. We will definitely be booking her any chance we get!”

About: I’ve been helping friends and family care for their dogs since I was in elementary school, from daily evening walks to boarding them for long trips. I’ve cared for a wide range of breeds from a Yorkie to a German shepherd and have loved them all immensely. I currently work a full time job but have evenings and weekends completely available. I’d love to get off of work and spend time walking your dog in the evening! I have a fenced yard with turf and a covered patio for time outside. Inside has plenty of room for zoomies and a big dog bed to cuddle up on.
About: I’ve never not had pets in my life! I’ve cared for a wide variety of pets, young and old, traditional pets and more exotic ones. I don’t mind caring for any type of pet— if it’s your baby, it’ll be mine too for a bit! Currently I have completely open availability! Some weekends I do theatre productions but those weekends are few and far between. I’m also a night owl and am open to care for your pets at all odd hours of the day or night. Routine is key for your pets. As a sitter, it is my responsibility to ensure your babies still follow their routine as if you were still at home. I have experience with more complex routines or routines that involve medication as well!
“Emma brought peace of mind when we had to leave our fur babies (a senior dog and my little morkie) when we went out of town. She gave them all the love and belly rubs. My dogs love seeing her come in! ♥️ Will definitely use Emma again!!”

“Hailey was very patient and understanding with my dogs. They are a tough bunch so when I had to go out of town and leave them for a few days, I was worried about not being able to find the right fit. Hailey really took a weight off my shoulders.”

“Kaitlyn did a wonderful job taking care of Zeke, my Senior Jack Russell Terrior. He can be aggressive with new people but Kaitlyn connected with him. She made sure he had food and was let outside to potty. When he was alone, he made a couple of potty mistakes that she cleaned up on her visits. I highly recommend Kaitlyn and will user her again for future visits!”

“Aubrey is a very sweet person who took great care of my cats. I have one aggressive cat and one scaredy cat. She made sure they got what they needed without stressing them out. I would definitely book again.”

“Ryan was very responsible and I loved getting updates every drop-in visit while we were out of town - I never worried about my furry babies! Biscuit and Charlie especially loved the walks around the block they got on most of Ryan’s visits. We’ll definitely use Ryan the next time we go on a trip!”

Mia was an absolute lifesaver! She was able to help with drop ins for my dogs at the very last minute, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Communication was great, she sent plenty of wonderful pictures, and I felt completely comfortable knowing my dogs were in good hands. I would definitely book with Mia again! 🐾💕

Rachel took such good care of my girls while I was out of town. Her drop in visits gave my girls comfort while still being looked after as I would. They were quite excited to see her when she arrived. They enjoyed playtime with her as the update pictures proved! I will Most definitely be booking her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
