About: I’ma a huge animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. Since I was young, friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to help care for their pets. I’m patient, dependable, and love spending time making sure pets are happy, active, and well cared for while their owners are away. I grew up around pets and currently help care for a Great Pyrenese and three cats so I’m very comfortable with animals of all sizes and personalities. I just moved back to Dallas after graduating from Texas Tech, so I have plenty of time to take care of pets while I am searching for a job! I’m comfortable caring for large breeds, multiple pets at once, and keeping up with feeding, walking, and cleaning routines. I have experience caring for dogs and cats, and I always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away.

About: I have been an animal lover for my whole life! In the past I have worked at an animal clinic as a kennel technician, caring for boarding dogs and cats. You can count on me to take care of your furry friend! I am currently working part-time so my schedule is pretty flexible. Available on a weekly basis. Most evenings I am free with most weekends and weekdays open! I have a fenced yard with a friendly dog and a chill cat. My dog is pretty active and loves other dogs so he would also love making new friends! We go on walks 1-2 times a day.

When ever family and friends need a sitter I'm an obvious choice because of how responsible I am! I work a part-time job in a coffee shop, I work in the nights. I have plenty of time in the day for walks and feedings! My service is based on what your needs are. I can do most things very easily. Ill only need to know your pets usual daily routine. Before watching a dog I'd like to know how they behave so I know what to expect from them. With good communication about your Fur babies needs it should all be easy breeze!

About: I have taken care of my dog since I was 6. From walks and feeding, then eventually to giving meds, cleaning teeth, and taking him to the vet. He is almost 15 years old so I am very experienced with the care of older dogs. I often take care of family members and friends dogs and love to learn the personality’s of each dog to determine what they need in their day to day routines. I am currently home from college for the summer so I can spend almost all day with pets and give them my undivided attention. I go on walks with my dog in the late afternoon so the hot concrete does not bother his paws. I have large fenced in yard, with a very friendly older dog who loves nap time. We do not keep crates in the home but can do so if one is provided. Dogs are given free rein and are welcome on the beds and couches. We also have very comfortable dog beds they can choose from.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was 18. I volunteered at a vet, raised a pit bull who lived to be almost 16. I currently have 5 dogs, 2 Guinea pigs, and a Flemish Giant Rabbit. I have handled senior care, have handled shots on dogs, and aggressive animals. I am just looking for extra money to help my family. I have so much love to give to animals and just want to provide that for other animals while their parents are gone. I currently have a full time, remote job. My job is very flexible so I am able to take breaks to love on other animals . I currently take care of our 8 animals I truly believe in that all animals just need love, attention, and someone who will play with them. I will provide care in your own home. We will go on walks, play in the yard, have treats, hugs, play fetch, and just provide the attention that they long for.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was very young. I grew up with 3 big dogs. I would feed, water, walk and play with them everyday. Since they’ve gotten older I can’t play with them as much, but I walk them all the time. I adopted a puppy in 2022. He has been a challenge but I wouldn’t change him for the world. I’m currently working part-time but your pets are my number one priority. Their needs come before my job. I stay with the dogs most of the day. I go home for about an hour or two then come straight back. As soon as I get there I let them outside to go to the bathroom, and depending on the time I either play with them or I feed and water them.

Emily (Paige) is so kind and flexible which is exactly what’s needed during this busy season. She gave both of my dogs grace during the first meet, and treated the second walk like she’s done it plenty of times prior. Taking on two medium to large dogs is not an easy task but she took on the job with grace and confidence which helped keep me at peace leaving my dogs.

About: I have been a dog owner my entire 43 years of life. In my recent separation my ex kept the dogs and I’m not at a point where I am certain I could afford the care of one should they need any unexpected care and cost in the near future. I absolutely love dogs & cats more then what’s probably considered normal, but I’ve been that way all my life and just connect with animals off all shapes, sizes, and breeds. My last Dog who currently lives with my ex is a White German Shepard and the 2 of us went through training together from 3 months to about 1 years old. My other dog that lives with him is a Lab/Pit mix. She has had chronic ear infections her whole life and now has diabetes. I am educated in minor training and many medical necessities including insulin injection. I currently own my own online boutique reselling clothes and accessories for women & kids as well as a wide assortment of home decor items and work from home. I’m here when you and your best friend need me! I’ll treat your pet as I treat my own. With love, kindness, and rewards when needed. I’m stern with them only when absolutely necessary to remind them I’m in charge while in my care. Physical discipline.is never used and unacceptable for any reason in my home.

About: Hi! I've had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, they've been a huge part of me. Currently I am a “sister” to my mom’s dog Sammy and mom to my four cats Maple, Gidget, Coral, & Calypso! I believe not everyone can do this job, as it takes someone who is dedicated and loving to care for your fur babies.I have experience working an animal hospital as a vet tech, kennel tech, and a client service representative so I have been lucky to gain lots of experience with hands on learning! I am a student who is doing clinical teaching this semester therefor my availability isn't as flexible from January 2024-May 2024. My schedule would be a best match for families looking for an overnight sitter, for a pet who is used to parents being out during work/school hours, or pets that have access to a doggy door! I love both dogs and cats, and I do not have much experience with "exotic" pets but I am open to learning! If you have any questions regarding my availability please feel free to reach out(: Unfortunately, I cannot have any pets boarding at home additional to my own. I would happily care for yours in the comfort of their home. As a teacher on summer break, I have a highly flexible weekday schedule and am able to provide consistent, reliable care throughout the week. I may have occasional professional development commitments, but I remain generally open and responsive to scheduling requests and will do my best to accommodate your pet’s needs. My approach to pet care is focused on safety, routine, and comfort. I make sure pets are in a calm, clean, and supervised environment at all times, whether in my home or a client’s home. I closely follow each pet’s normal routine and care instructions so they feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while their owners are away. I also pay close attention to behavior and needs, and I provide regular updates so owners can feel at ease knowing their pets are in good hands.

We are very happy with Emily! She’s very sweet and communicative. She also cares for our dogs like her own and keeps them well taken care of 😊 I will say this is the best decision for our home to have a dog sitter/walker help us while we are away at work. It’s brought so much peace of mind to me and my husband.

  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
