“If I had to describe John in one word, it would be “amazing.” We are new to Dallas and needed someone to walk our two dogs on very short notice, and John was kind enough to step in and help. Our dogs are not difficult, but they definitely have their own personalities. One is a 120 lb German Shepherd who loves chasing squirrels (and climb trees to meet their families), rabbits, and sometimes even butterflies, and he also thinks he needs to make friends with every dog he sees. Our other one is an 18 lb Shih Tzu who is a little pampered and does not like walking in the sun. What really stood out to us was how patient, caring, and thoughtful John was with both of them. During the first couple of days, when our Shih Tzu decided he was done walking after finishing his business, John actually picked him up and carried him while continuing the walk because our German Shepherd still wanted more time outside. For the last few days, he even walked them separately so each of them could get the individual attention they needed. That level of care says a lot about John. He was always on time, courteous, respectful, responsible, and genuinely loving toward our dogs. We are very thankful for his help and would definitely look forward to having him take care of our boys again in the future.”

About: I’ve never not had pets in my life! I’ve cared for a wide variety of pets, young and old, traditional pets and more exotic ones. I don’t mind caring for any type of pet— if it’s your baby, it’ll be mine too for a bit! Currently I have completely open availability! Some weekends I do theatre productions but those weekends are few and far between. I’m also a night owl and am open to care for your pets at all odd hours of the day or night. Routine is key for your pets. As a sitter, it is my responsibility to ensure your babies still follow their routine as if you were still at home. I have experience with more complex routines or routines that involve medication as well!

Caring for dogs has been a daily part of my life including feeding, walking, playtime, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes and ages and can follow specific feeding, walking, or medication routines if needed. I work a regular daytime schedule locally, which allows me to offer reliable daytime and evening visits and overnight care. I work full time reliable daytime hours but primarily work from home so I have a flexibility and predictability to spend time with your pets. When caring for pets in their home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow each pet’s usual feeding, walking, and bedtime schedule so they feel comfortable while their family is away. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise based on their needs. I’m also happy to give medications if needed and will always keep food and water areas clean.
