“Caitlyn did very good with Oreo! It was our first time trying to see if he’d do good with a dog walker and with no fault to Caitlyn, he did not. He was shy and very scared and not a fan of the idea. However, Caitlyn tried very hard to slowly work with him and kept me updated on the experience. I found it best to just leave him be as it was just a trial run and it helped me realize it is not for him! But I am very thankful for Caitlyn’s patience and kindness towards him and would recommend her for your pet!! She really cares about the animals she is working with.”

“We had a great experience with Savannah! She was very communicative, reliable, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. I always felt updated and knew Mocha was in good hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring with their pets!”

“Hilda is great! She did a meet and great the night before! She treated my sweet girl with so much love and went above and beyond! Definitely a 10/10!! Will be calling her again for sure! 🙂”

“Karina has been absolutely amazing and has saved me many times. I have a busy schedule and I travel a lot for work. She has helped me in a pinch with a smile on her face! My pets adore her and I think the world of her.”

About: I have been an animal lover for my whole life! In the past I have worked at an animal clinic as a kennel technician, caring for boarding dogs and cats. You can count on me to take care of your furry friend! I am currently working part-time so my schedule is pretty flexible. Available on a weekly basis. Most evenings I am free with most weekends and weekdays open! I have a fenced yard with a friendly dog and a chill cat. My dog is pretty active and loves other dogs so he would also love making new friends! We go on walks 1-2 times a day.
About: I’ve owned dogs since I was a kid and have taken care of animals for family and friends ever since. I don’t own one of my own right now, so I’d love to help take care of yours! 🐶💖 I’m a teacher so I have summer off right now! I am very flexible, just give me a heads up and I can help take care of your pet! I am very friendly, punctual, and respectful of your animal and home’s boundaries. I have cared for animals and children my whole life and would love to look out for your fur family 🐾
“Great with my 80 lb, strong willed boy! Friendly and puppy comes home happy and worn out. Everything I could ask for! Will hire Richard again for sure. So glad we got connected with him!”

About: Hi animal lovers! I’d love to assist you with your pet care for when life gets busy. I have 18 years of pet care experience and over 2 years of professional, paid experience in dog walking/sitting and cat sitting. I have experience with dogs, to cats, to aquatic creatures, to guinea pigs! If you are in need of anything else beyond walking and sitting, feel free to reach out and we can work together :) I’m currently as an English teacher, but am going back to school next year and would love to care for your furry friends during my free time and breaks! I’m available all day on weekends and weekday nights and midday breaks! I had a 17 year old dog at my family home, but he passed away this past July and miss caring for dogs, so I’d love to spend time getting to help others care with theirs :) I also have 3 of my own cats so I am more than experienced there! I have a nice sized space for cats and dogs of many sizes. I also have great sized neighborhood/complex for long walks in order to ensure your furry friend receives their daily exercise and potty breaks!
“I can’t recommend Aurellia enough. She’s been walking my dog for a while now, and she’s hands-down the best. My dog absolutely loves her and gets excited every time she shows up. You can tell she genuinely cares and takes her time to make sure the dogs are happy and well looked after. She’s reliable, easy to communicate with, and always sends quick updates after walks, which I really appreciate. It’s great knowing my dog’s in good hands when I’m busy or out for the day. If you need a trustworthy, caring, and all-around great dog walker — Aurellia’s the one to call.”

About: I do prefer to go by Sophie but I have been a reliable pet sitter in the past for family and friends loving their animals like my own while they are away. I can provide services such as dog walking, dog park visits, food and water replenishment, medication administration, scooping cat litter boxes, and tons of cuddles. I am a full time college student so I have little pockets of time here and there to come hangout with your furry family members and provide lots of cuddles. I have my own transportation so I can come to your home to care for your furry family members. I am good about following feeding schedules and instructions as well as other instructions left by owners. I strive to treat furry friends like they are my own, giving them lots of love, attention, and cuddles.
About: Hi! I'm a patient, reliable animal lover who understands that every pet has unique needs. Caring for my family's reactive Mini Poodle has taught me the importance of staying calm, building trust, and paying close attention to a pet's comfort and behavior. I'll treat your pet with the same love, care, and respect as if they were my own, so you can feel confident they're in good hands while you're away. Recently, I recently began as an opener at my job and leave around 3 pm with a day or two off during the weekday. With this schedule I’m confident we can work out a schedule for me to look after your furry babies! I believe every pet deserves patient, attentive, and loving care. In a client's home, I'll follow your pet's usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any special instructions you provide. I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. My experience caring for my family's reactive Mini Poodle has taught me to respect each dog's individual needs, body language, and boundaries.
“Emily (Paige) is so kind and flexible which is exactly what’s needed during this busy season. She gave both of my dogs grace during the first meet, and treated the second walk like she’s done it plenty of times prior. Taking on two medium to large dogs is not an easy task but she took on the job with grace and confidence which helped keep me at peace leaving my dogs.”

About: I’m great with pets! I’ve had dogs all my life, been around cats and other animals. I enjoy taking them for walks, runs, and I love making them happy by giving them positive attention! I only do pet sitting part time, however I make sure that I have time for a booking by making room in my schedule if needed. I care for pets by ensuring that they are fed, and taken on the appropriate walk according to the instructions. I will also play with the dogs, and give them plenty of exercise. Sometimes I may even take them out to a dog park if the dog is good with other dogs and people.
About: • My schedule is flexible and mostly accommodating • 13 years of dog experience (starting at age 11) • Experience with taking care of multiple dogs at once • Experience with puppies and senior dogs • FREE meet and greets! • Services I offer: House sitting, Drop-In Visits, & Walks I would love to care for your pet and give you peace of mind that they are being loved and taken care of. I am available to watch your dog(s) from the comfort of their home, so they experience no stress or change in environment. I am also available for drop-ins and walks! Please feel free to reach out if you are in need of an experienced dog sitter who will send you frequent updates and pictures of your sweet fur babies. I work remotely, so I have greater flexibility for drop-ins/walks and to watch your dog(s) full-time in their home if needed. For in-house dog sitting, I can watch your dog(s) for 1-5 days at a time if you are out of town or otherwise occupied. I am happy to stay overnight with your pet(s). I will care for your pet as if they were my own. I will always send updates throughout the day and pictures of your dog. Additionally, I will follow your care instructions explicitly and respect your home while I am in it. If I am house-sitting a dog, I always try to leave your home better than when I entered it. I will clean up after your dog and myself and ensure there is always a high level of safety for your pet.
About: I have always been around dogs all my life and have had enjoyed my experience in taking care of friends and families pets when needed. I get up fairly early in the morning and can be very routine oriented throughout my day. I have no other job outside of school, so pet care is my main responsibility. I treat every dog like one of my own, with plenty of playtime, naps, and attention. There are designated spaces for meals, rest, and play, so your dog will have a balanced experience. I also make sure to keep up with their routine—feeding times, walks, and any special care they need. For my experience with dogs, they are most happiest when they have a routine every day and aren’t thrown off schedule so I make a conscious effort of doing so during pet sitting. If staying at my house, I’ve got a cozy space for them to relax in when they need quiet time, whether they prefer a doggy bed and or a crate with a blankie, or they can always feel free to sleep on the couch or bed.

“Franklin and I are unbelievably grateful that we found Amanda and Michael! Michael walks Franklin during the week and it has been the best experience I've had with Rover. He is great at communicating when he is heading over to walk Franklin and after the walk he provides an update on what they did. Franklin is very skiddish around new people but he has warmed up to Michael faster than I've seen him warm up to anyone which says a lot. I can tell from the updates I get from Michael that he genuinely cares about Franklin and his well being.”

About: I have extensive experience dog sitting for most of my neighbors as well as my friends and families dogs & animals. I strive to make each dog comfortable and provide excellent care while their owners are away. I treat each dog as if they are my own, and I will follow any special instructions that they're used to; as well as accommodate any disabilities. I have no problem giving medicine, even if it involves needles, as we had a diabetic cat growing up. I also volunteer at local PetSmarts to help get dogs adopted. I do have a full time job, but I have a set schedule and don't work past 6pm weekdays so I can be available before 8am and after 6pm weekdays. Weekends are really open for me as well. I enjoy bringing my pups with me everywhere that I can, so as long as they don't have car anxiety I can be seen riding around with a furry companion. Your dog deserves the best while you're away, so please contact me the next time you're planning a getaway!
About: As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is that a sitter follows all directions to a T. This is especially important if any medications or supplements need to be administered. I vow to do the same for any of my clients. For dogs, I do potty breaks every 2-4 hours, and prioritize play time and exercise. For cats, I strive to create a serene environment, and once they warm up to me, I take time to give them plenty of play options. For dogs, I require a meet and greet before sitting for you. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience caring for birds, fish, rodents (have personally owned guinea pigs, hamsters, and rats), and any type of farm animal --I am an equestrian. I'm also available for farm sitting. I'm currently in school so I have a pretty flexible schedule. For house sitting, I would need to leave your home during the day to go to class and to check on things at my place, however, I take care not to stay gone more than a two hours at a time. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is that a sitter follows all directions to a T. This is especially important if any medications or supplements need to be administered. I vow to do the same for any of my clients. For dogs, my goal is potty breaks every 2-4 hours (more often if puppy), and prioritizing play time. For cats, I strive to create a serene environment, and once they warm up to me, I take time to give them plenty of play options. For dogs, I require a meet and greet before sitting for you.
About: Hi Y'all, We are Meranda and Josh !! We WANT ALL THE FURRBABIES!!! We have 4 pooches of our own! All of which we have raised from puppies and are sweet and gentle. We have a 7 year old husky named Jager who is so sweet and gentle as well as the head of my lil pack. He is smart and obedient. He is friendly from strangers to puppies alike. He has been the "Father Figure" to our other pups. Obedience, non-aggressive, affectionate are the qualities he has passed on to his siblings. Next up is Bosley. He is a pitbull. The reputation of his breed is completely eliminated upon first impression with him. While he appears to be the strongest, most in-charge of the pack, he is the most submissive and kind. He is afraid of thunderstorms, loud noises, and demands to be cuddled on a daily basis. Koko is actually Bosley's cousin. She has all of the wonderful attributes Bosley does as far as being submissive and kind, but she isn't afraid of thunderstorms and loud noises. Her first response toward other dogs is to be the greeter. She longs to have puppies of her own and that is expressed in her loving, caring nature shown in her love for new friends--especially submissive ones. She has never met a stranger. Last is Whiskey. She is our puppy--An 8 month Belgian German Shepherd. She is playful and fun as any puppy should be. She is a social butterfly. She is still in training and doing great! She is smart as can be and her active instincts make her a very playful companion. She is the "Life of the Party" most of the time. Completely non-aggressive. 100% play, fun and games. Our dogs get all of our attention. They are our children. All of our dogs are kennel trained, but all of them are accustomed to being spoiled one-on-one including sleeping with us as needed when they are needy or scared. Your pup would be no different depending on his/her needs. If we could home all the world's needful dogs we would! If you are looking to socialize your pup in a loving, safe, non-aggressive environment with a variety of dogs then we are your Rover family!

Emma has been my dog, Willow’s, dog walker for 7 months now & she is truly the best. Highly recommend. My dog can be a bit shy to strangers & Emma has been so patient & loving to her. I’ve also had Emma watch Willow when I’ve gone out of town for a few days & she always has done such a great job. Takes lots of pictures and is great at communicating. 10/10 across the board!

We had a great experience with Savannah! She was very communicative, reliable, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. I always felt updated and knew Mocha was in good hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring with their pets!

We were looking for a dog walker for our two dogs and came across Hilda’s profile, which had excellent reviews. She arranged a meet and greet with our dogs, and it went exceptionally well, our dogs instantly took to her. Hilda is warm, kind, and clearly very knowledgeable. The first walk was a great experience. Our dogs were thrilled to see her, and she took plenty of photos. We’ve already booked a second walk and will absolutely continue working with her!

London was able to accommodate my baby last minute and during the snow. Both myself and husband were under the weather and she was quick to respond and take our pup out for a long over due walk. He came back a new man :). Thanks London we really appreciated the help.

We are very happy with Emily! She’s very sweet and communicative. She also cares for our dogs like her own and keeps them well taken care of 😊 I will say this is the best decision for our home to have a dog sitter/walker help us while we are away at work. It’s brought so much peace of mind to me and my husband.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
