“Dogs, cats, and ducks! Jaclyn has taken care of our 10 year old dog, Beau, since he was 5 weeks old, and she has become like a second mother to him. We worked full time for a long time, so we would take Beau to her house every day, and she helped take care of him and even potty trained him, took him on walks etc. He was also able to socialize with young kids and her other pets too. She also was watched him for extended periods of time while we’ve been out of town over the years, and she has bathed him, cleaned up his messes, etc. We have taken him to her house, and she has come to our house. She does a great job in either setting. My dog loves Jaclyn, her kids, and her other pets, which is saying a lot because he isn’t typically very good with other dogs. Jaclyn has also cared for my cat, Rhino who was elderly. She was loving and compassionate with him and cleaned his litter box, vomit, etc. She gave him lots of love and snuggles too. And if that weren’t enough, she has even cared for our ducklings/ducks. Yes…that’s right…from incubation to full grown ducks. We had to leave for a trip while we were incubating duck eggs, and she managed the incubator humidity, turned the eggs, etc. And there have been a handful of times she has cared for our ducklings and grown ducks when we’ve had to go out of town. Ducks are messy and poop 96 times a day, so this is no small undertaking, but she has done it with joy. And her dogs are great with the ducks. We are thankful for Jaclyn and know we can rely on her for any need we may have when it comes to our fur and feather babies.”

As a volunteer, I walked dogs of all sizes, bathe them, and trained them. I also played with and fed both cats and dogs. My profession requires giving care to people, but I love to also give care to animals and beloved pets. I am a WFH tech freelancer, so I have great control of my schedule. I have wide range of availability all week and can even take last minute assignments on weekday afternoons. When I take care of my clients' dogs, I am attune to their personality. Some dogs like a calming walk and some dogs need a more high energy jog. If the owner has any requests for training the dog or enforcing training elements, I provide that, as well. I'm also a cat owner and have created a pet friendly space with scratching posts, toys, and trees for my cat to climb on (with plenty of dark nooks for her to hide in). She has a regular feeding schedule of a combo of dry and wet food. And she gets automated purified water. She loves lots of snuggles and lots of naps. When I care of others' cats, I adjust to what that cat is comfortable with. Every cat is different!
