About: Growing up around dogs taught me how much love and companionship pets bring into our lives. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that’s playing fetch, going for walks, giving belly rubs, or just keeping them company. My goal is to make every pet feel happy, comfortable, and cared for while giving owners peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I enjoy being active and spending time with animals, so making sure pets feel loved, comfortable, and cared for is something I genuinely enjoy. I also understand the importance of sticking to each pet’s routine to help them feel safe and at ease while their owner is away. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I make sure they have fresh food and water, regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), and any special routines to help pets feel comfortable and secure. I keep a clean, safe environment and provide updates with photos so owners can have peace of mind while they’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel happy, relaxed, and well cared for until their family returns.

About: I have cared for animals for most of my life, including dogs, cats, birds, and fish. I have also regularly helped neighbors, friends, and church members with their pets. I am dependable, attentive, and happy to follow each pet’s normal routine while giving them plenty of care and affection. I currently work part-time, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the attention they need. I am available for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship throughout the week. I will carefully follow your instructions and respect your pet’s normal routine. I understand that every animal has different needs, comfort levels, and boundaries. I will make sure your pet receives attentive care and will keep you updated during each visit.
“Karen was such a blessing to meet and work with. She helped us out tremendously in caring for our young kittens for two almost back to back pre-planned vacations. Leaving them alone so young and so new to our household was really stressful, yet Karen made it very stress free. Karen stayed in constant communication and sent picture updates to share how our kitties were doing. She took care of our house while we were away and was so considerate to even ask us if we needed any groceries before we returned. She left us the cutest framed pictures of our babies on the countertop when we returned, which was an adorable surprise. We are so grateful to her and would highly recommend her for anyone looking for someone to care for their pets and/or home while they are away. We will be reaching out to her again!”

“Cathy was amazing! She took care of my pups just like I would, and the house look d just like I left it. She even washed her sheets and towels. I would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Christine did a great job taking care of my two dogs in my home! She was communicative, reliable, and made me feel completely comfortable while I was away. My dogs were well cared for and happy when I returned. I will absolutely book with her again!”

“Sherice did a fantastic job looking after our fur babies. Our pups are very spoiled and I could tell from the daily updates and pictures that they felt very comfortable and happy. Thank you for everything!”

“Rachel took such great care of my dogs. She was very informative and helpful throughout the entire process. My dogs acted like they knew her the moment they met her. They were very comfortable with her and I felt at ease knowing that they were so happy while I was away. I will definitely reach out to Rachel again in the near future for help with my fur babies.”

“Leticia went above and beyond during her stay with Oxford and Nellie. We had to leave town unexpectedly and she was so prompt in her response and willingness to come over for a walk through before we left town. Our dogs were well cared for as well as our home. I will be re-booking again!”

“Kathleen is a gem!! She stayed at our home for 10 nights with our 2 dogs. She sent pictures each morning and asked questions when she had any. Our home was in tip top shape when we returned and all instructions were followed perfectly. And most importantly our doggies were super happy and relaxed. I think they miss her ❤️ We’ll happily use her again!”

About: Growing up, my family had a Beagle named Chloe, who we adopted as a tiny pup. Later, we rescued an Australian Shepherd who quickly became my best buddy. I loved bathing him, taking him on walks, feeding him, and teaching him new tricks. When I moved to Texas in 2021, I stayed with a family who had a pit mix named Rosie. She immediately attached herself to me and I to her. When I moved out on my own, they allowed me to take me with her and she became my baby girl who did everything with me! In January 2026, I adopted my second dog, Raffi, another pit mix. He is a snuggle bug and very high energy. Rosie and him instantly became best friends and he was exactly the addition to the family that we needed! I am currently a Special Education Teacher in Lewisville ISD and am looking for something easy and meaningful to do over the summer- like caring for animals! Because of that I have a super flexible schedule during the summer months, so I’m available for walks, drop-ins, boarding, or pet sitting. Once the school year begins, I will still have flexible availability on weeknights and weekends. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and love providing them with attention, care, and companionship while their owners are away. I will care for your pet as if they were my own dog- with love, attention, pets, and treats if they’re allowed :) If I am house sitting, I treat your home as if it were my own.

Ashton was absolutely fantastic, watching our bichon frise, Alfredo! He went above and beyond, keeping us updated with pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Alfredo was happy and well cared for – we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Talia was great! Very attentive to our dog Goose and our cats Lily and Grim. Goose had a hot spot during her stay and Talia messaged us. Asked if she wanted her to take him to our vet or if she could help him. She fixed goose up and he was better by the time we got home. Talia was awesome!!!

Heather was a great house sitter. Both Kumi and Jade were happy and well taken care of, and we appreciated her regular updates and photos. When we returned the house was clean and orderly. We will differently be looking for Heather to house sit again in the future.

Jess was amazing staying in my home for 7 days with my dog, ensuring she was taken care of. I enjoyed the videos she would send me of them playing (or sleeping), and the couple of times we actually spent on FaceTime. I was super nervous leaving for a week with someone staying in my home with my 'baby girl' but Jess reassured me through the entire time and I am happy to be back home with no issues. It was like I never left.
Madison was amazing with my Dolly girl! She was awesome at sending me photos at each visit and asking questions if she didn't know something. Dolly loved playing with Madison and her daughter and appreciated all the love and attention. Madison will be watching Dolly again in a couple weeks and I am very excited and at ease with my decision. Highly recommend!

Annie was fantastic taking care of my 2 kitties and had my shy girl on the couch with her on the first night! I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking again for our next trip! She handled medications and food perfectly, for once I really did not have to worry while I was gone. Lots of updates and pictures as well!

Miss Micayla was so sweet, my girls loved having her come spend time with them. When I got home my girls were so very very happy girls. It’s wonderful to come home to my girls being happy happy, it shows they were well taken care of and loved. She spent great quality time with them 💕 She always communicated with me so well. I definitely recommend Micayla for great care of your pets and your home. Thank you Micayla!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Flower Mound walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Flower Mound maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Flower Mound choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
