“We couldn’t have asked for a better Petsitter! From the start, her communication was excellent- she followed up on our meet and greet plans and made sure everything was set before the booking. While we were away, she kept us updated with lots of pictures and messages, which gave us peace of mind. She was respectful of our home, even bringing in our mail and packages. Most importantly, our dogs absolutely loved her! She followed all of our care instructions perfectly, including administering medication to our dog Molly. We came home to happy pups and a tidy house. She was truly wonderful, and we would definitely use her services again! Thanks Sandra!”
“Tyler was great with our dogs! He is reliable and I appreciate him texting me before he offered a treat to our dog that is elderly and on a special diet. We will definitely book with him again!”

About: I have taken care of pups since I can remember I had my first fur baby when I was in my early 20's. I love outdoor walks, dog walking is a plus for me. I enjoy taking care of animals, giving them the attention they need and give them the love they deserve. I am constantly around animals every day and I love it. I do currently work part-time in my days off I do take care of my 8 year old nephew and he's 4 year old toy poodle name Jordi which I enjoy I feed him play with him, give him hes potty breaks, do walks with them both. Its in my DNA I love to take care of people and furr animals. I also do have a 2 year old cat her name is Athena I got her when she was 4 weeks old and love every second of it. Our days consist of cuddling she likes being rubbed. I would do drop in visits, make sure to feed them play with them, would love to do walks with them and make sure they are happy and comfortable.
“Madeline was available last minute and made me feel safe leaving my kitties behind for a few days. She sent pictures of each of them to me and made me feel they were loved and well taken care of while I was gone. I highly recommend Madeline to anyone needing help, especially those who may need extra cuddles or medication needs!”
“Leticia was everything we were looking for in a house/petsitter. She sent us timely updates, photos and didn’t hesitate to ask questions regarding our pets routine. We would definitely recommend Leticia.”

“What a wonderful person! First time users of rover and first time needing a doggy sitter overnight. Whitney was so open and gentle. She had a phone call with us first and then a meet/greet with our fur babies. She really took note of what our dogs ate and how. She was so prompt and took to our dogs so well. She was respectful of our home and our dogs. She communicated with us the day of and the day we came back and in between. Absolutely adored her we will book with her again for sure. A MILLION THANKS WHITNEY 🤩.”

“Sophia dog sat in our house over Memorial Day weekend & was fantastic!! She sent several updates and photos daily. She was super responsive and our doggies seemed to be happy in her care! She left our house in great condition. She even volunteered to let out the dogs again after leaving due to our flight being delayed. Would highly recommend her for any dog sitting or drop-in needs!!”

“Martin has been caring for Elliott for a few years now so I knew when I reached out for a last minute booking he would be well taken care of! In the past I would’ve dropped Elliott off but since Martin is no longer taking in those requests I asked for him to care for him at my apartment. It went phenomenally! He arrived to my house early and I was able to give him a rundown of the apartment and all of Elliott’s care instructions. Once I left, Martin was very responsive and would send me pictures as well throughout the day. Upon us returning, Martin was waiting at my apartment and he informed me that he had also already taken him out on his daily walk which was amazing since it’s been raining! As always Martin was amazing and very responsible.”

About: I have experience taking care of a dog with dementia (my own pet), puppies, I currently help take care of a 14 year-old lab with cancer so I understand love and compassion but above all the work that it takes to make sure a dog is comfortable and as happy as possible. I will currently be available full-time for the care of your pet. I will be available during the week and weekends and will be able to take care of your pet. Should you need to go on a business trip or should you go on a much-needed vacation? I have a fenced yard with two friendly dogs and will be more than happy to have check-in’s with camera so pet parents are comfortable about where their pet is staying.
About: I have had dogs for 25+ years. They're a part of my everyday existence. I was primary caretaker for the last three dogs for ten years. I have successfully trained and retrained all of them "post adoption", and then again at every three year mark. I'm the "dog whisperer" in our family. Dogs are "better" judges of character than most humans, and they love me! I will treat your fur baby with the same level of love, attention, and care that I treat my own. I walk my own before the sun comes up, and again at night if its below 90. We do little training sets anytime behavior starts to slip. I take care of my aging parents, which occupies a few hours in the mornings and evenings. Outside of that, I am more than willing and able to take the proper time, attention, and effort that your pet needs and deserves. I can be flexible with your scheduling needs. Sometimes life is busy, but the "babies" still need prioritization. I have a fenced yard with a dozen grown oak trees for shade and yard play. There is also a pool where my current dog enjoys a morning cool down swim! Dog care in my home is very routine. Feeding and walking times are on a consistent daily schedule. All pills are marked clearly for time and dosage. I keep the treats to a minimum based on daily activity. I/we do treat them a bit more like "people" than dogs. They ARE family to us. We have never had a health or safety related "incident" that would fall outside the normal scope of animal health. Our family dogs have all lived long, happy, healthy lives. We spare no expense. They get what they need and then some, just as if they were a child.
About: I have been a stay at home mom of 3 girls for the last 23 years. I’ve had 2 labs and our boy Rucker is now 9 years old. I love dogs and all animals. I am a retired teacher and soccer coach and would love to help you with your pets as well. I am retired and have a very flexible schedule. I am available most days of the week to care for your fur baby and treat them like my own! I have 1 dog Rucker and a fenced yard and pool as well as a park and walking trails through out my neighborhood. I love dogs!
“Jessica did a great job with our animals. She had great communication before, during and after the stay had been completed. House was just as we left it and everyone seems happy upon our return.”

“Sherice did a fantastic job looking after our fur babies. Our pups are very spoiled and I could tell from the daily updates and pictures that they felt very comfortable and happy. Thank you for everything!”

“Janet was awesome with our dog Murphy. Lots of pics of him along the way. Very happy she was able to watch him for us. She was so accommodating with specific asks (dog walks, taking to groomer, watering plants, etc). She definitely went above and beyond.”

“Bryce was AMAZING with taking care of our two dogs, Beaux & Radar. He sent me frequent pictures, some normal and some edited to be hilarious! We didn’t worry once with them being in Bryce’s care. You can definitely tell that he loves animals. We would definitely use him again!”

Megan took great care of my pups, they looked happy and healthy when we got home! She was excellent with making arrangements for when she was working longer hours, and also stayed an extra night at short notice because our return flight was rescheduled. Highly recommend!

We needed a great person to watch our doggie who is full of personality- but also anxiety while we traveled out of town for our son's college graduation. Isabella was absolutely amazing! She was attentive, flexible, responsible and especially kind and attentive to Mari. We are so grateful to her watching Mari which helped us enjoy graduation weekend. We thoroughly recommended her for any pet sitting need, 5 stars hands down.

Sydney did a truly wonderful job caring for my two older, large dogs. They can be a bit of a handful and need extra patience and attention, but Sydney handled everything with calm, confidence, and genuine kindness. From the moment we left, I felt completely at ease knowing they were in her care. She sent thoughtful updates and photos, kept them on their routine, and made sure they were comfortable and happy the entire time. It’s clear Sydney understands the needs of senior pets and treats them as if they were her own. We came home to two relaxed, content pups and a home exactly as we left it. I couldn’t ask for better. I would absolutely book Sydney again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional dog sitter. Thank you, Sydney, for taking such great care of our girls !

Yijia was great and took care of my two dogs on short notice. She helped keep them busy, feed them and even clean up some of their accidents around the house which was appreciated! Also had a really bad storm damage my house while on Vacation and she helped clean up some of what was damaged outside, very helpful! Would highly recommend Yijia for anyone needing a dog sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Southlake on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 5,306 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Southlake. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Southlake walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Southlake maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Southlake choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
