“My cat is so shy that he hid out for the first few days before he ventured out. Tracy was there morning & evening to check on him as well as feed, water &,clean his litter boxes. She never gave up trying to win him over. She got my mail & watered my outdoor plants in addition to her "cat duties". She was a real lifesaver. I will definitely use her again & would highly recommend her.”

“Sandra had been amazing! I had knee surgery and needed someone to help with Nyx's daily walks. Sandra took care of early mornings. She was always on time and Nyx was excited to see her each morning. I will definitely use Sandra's services again in the future!”

“I would highly recommend Kim! This was my first time using her to check on my senior cat while I was out of town. She set a date prior to my trip to do a meet and greet which was awesome. She was very professional and asked all the right questions. During her check-ins with my cat, she provided me detailed reports and updates along with photos! I will absolutely use Kim again!”

Thank you!!”

“Maura did a great job watching my cat Jet while I was on my cruise. She sent Rover card updates with pictures everyday and let me know if Jet was doing ok with her eating and bowel habits. I would use Maura again, and highly recommend her.”

Annabelle was reliable, attentive, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She kept me updated with photos & texts & it’s obvious Pookie was comfortable and well cared for in her hands. I highly recommend Annabelle to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. I will absolutely be using her services again in the future! 🐾💕”

“Haylle does a great job with my dog Jasper. I am able to work through my day knowing that she comes by in the day to make sure he gets some activity. I get a report card from Rover and she sends pictures every visit. I am very grateful for her care.”

About: I have had animals my entire life and especially love dogs. I already watch dogs and house sit for personal clients so figured I would try this out too. I have also trained dogs. Sit, speak, stay, whisper, shake etc. I am a real estate agent who works completely remote. I do not have any pets at the moment so my schedule is completely open to help out. I personally do not have any pets and am not allowed to have them in my apartment. I would prefer not to stay overnight at a clients home, I would like to just do walks and check ins. Am open to negotiations if there were a pet that needed special care of course.

“Alexis was amazing!!! She took care of my two cats while I was away on vacation. They were well taken care of and Alexis was so loving and caring to my babies. One of my cats is always scared of new people and hides, Alexis got her to come out the first day! She has a gift with animals and is very reliable. Have to book with her, won’t regret it!”

Claire took care of my cats for five days, and she was wonderful! She stopped by for drop-in visits, sent photos every time, and kept me well updated. I felt really calm knowing they were in her care. I’ll definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.!!

Svenja was so wonderful! She goes above & beyond. We were so at ease knowing she was taking good care of our cat’s needs and offering her all the TLC she needed. Our cat typically hides for Rover sitters but she looked forward to Svenja’s visits. We got the sweetest pics & videos. Highly recommend!

Isabella was amazing with Kirio! She was very caring, communicative, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Southlake. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
