About: I have professional experience working with dogs in structured daycare settings, including as a Canine Coach at Dogtopia. I managed playrooms of up to 35–40 dogs at a time and worked with a wide range of sizes, energy levels, and personalities. I’m comfortable reading dog body language, supporting safe group play, and staying calm and confident with both high-energy and anxious dogs. I also worked with Southlake Crittercare as a dog driver and handler, safely transporting dogs to and from daycare and assisting with playgroups organized by energy level and play style. In both roles, I cared for boarding dogs and handled daily routines such as feeding and administering medications. Paying close attention to individual needs and keeping dogs comfortable and secure was always a priority. Outside of my professional roles, I’ve provided in-home and overnight pet sitting for friends and family over the years. This includes caring for a home with four Basset Hounds of varying ages, including senior dogs requiring multiple medications. I understand how important consistency and clear communication are when someone else is caring for your pets. I currently have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be attentive and reliable with pet care throughout the week. I value routine and consistency, and I strive to make sure each pet receives the time and attention they need. Clear communication and planning are important to me, so owners always know what to expect. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping routines consistent and stress low. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special needs, and I stay attentive to changes in behavior or appetite. My background in dog daycare and handling has given me strong skills in reading body language and managing different temperaments, including high-energy, anxious, and senior dogs. For walks, I prioritize leash safety, awareness of surroundings, and each dog’s individual pace and comfort level. I treat clients’ homes with respect and take care to keep pets secure by following door, gate, and leash protocols. I also provide regular updates so owners feel confident while they’re away.
“Madeleine was dependable and resourceful. I left a feral cat in her care and he was more challenging than I expected. Bernie had not been socialized and ran away whenever Madeleine came. But she stayed, talked to him and tried to coach him over to her. She also made sure that he had food and water to drink. I know that her care insured Bernie being here when I came home. I appreciate it.”

“Annabelle took wonderful care of my cat Pookie this weekend. Knowing Pookie was safe, happy & well looked after gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. Annabelle was reliable, attentive, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She kept me updated with photos & texts & it’s obvious Pookie was comfortable and well cared for in her hands. I highly recommend Annabelle to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. I will absolutely be using her services again in the future! 🐾💕”

“I would highly recommend Kim! This was my first time using her to check on my senior cat while I was out of town. She set a date prior to my trip to do a meet and greet which was awesome. She was very professional and asked all the right questions. During her check-ins with my cat, she provided me detailed reports and updates along with photos! I will absolutely use Kim again!”

“Haylle does a great job with my dog Jasper. I am able to work through my day knowing that she comes by in the day to make sure he gets some activity. I get a report card from Rover and she sends pictures every visit. I am very grateful for her care.”

“This is the second time Ari has kittysat for me, and she is just as awesome again. She arrives with on time and searches for the kitties until she finds one to photo. She scoops the litter and does a great job with feeding.”

“Sandra had been amazing! I had knee surgery and needed someone to help with Nyx's daily walks. Sandra took care of early mornings. She was always on time and Nyx was excited to see her each morning. I will definitely use Sandra's services again in the future!”

About: I love all dogs and Gods creatures. I have been around animals all my life. I used to sit outside as a kid on my grandmas porch giving the stray cats attention. If anyone in my family had a dog I would find myself on the floor spending quality time with the dog. I also have a special place in my heart for elderly dogs. I want them to be comfortable and happy. I work part time from home, so I have plenty of time to give care and love to your dog. I can also take them for walks if they need exercise! I have a fenced in back yard for your dog to run around and have potty breaks. I can make a cozy spot at bedtime for your pet if you are able to provide their crate. I will make sure they are fed, safe and happy.
About: I’ve taken care of animals throughout my entire life. I’ve owned 2 dogs where I’ve trained them from puppies. And currently have 2 kitties that I adore. I’m currently in school part time- time so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I’m available most days and times! I’m willing to work around your schedule as mine is very flexible at the moment. I have a lot of experience handling animals (even the rambunctious ones) and can assure you that I’m very physically capable of any size and strength of your pet. I can provide your pet with plenty of entertainment and companionship.

“Kristen was so great with our dogs and kept us well informed about all they were doing while we were gone. And we loved the pictures from each house visit! Definitely plan to work with her again.”

About: Hi! My name is Summer. I am a 43 year old mom of five kiddos and three toy poodles. I am also a clinic manager, medical assistant and X-ray tech. I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been a proud Toy Poodle owner for over 21 years! My three Toy Poodles range from 5–11 lbs, so I’m very comfortable with small dogs and all the personality that comes with them. 😂🐩 My experience doesn’t stop with little dogs. I’ve also owned Giant Schnauzers, including a 65-lb female and a 120-lb male, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I have experience caring for senior dogs and administering medications, as well as training puppies. I’ve trained my own dogs from puppyhood and have also helped train puppies we’ve bred. While dogs have my heart, I love cats and pretty much every animal I meet. I’m also a former Sphynx owner, so I’m no stranger to the unique personalities and needs of cats. ❤️ When your pets are in my care, they’re treated like family. I’ll give them the same love, patience, attention, and care I give my own animals. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pets are safe, happy, spoiled, and well cared for while you’re away. Your pets aren’t just pets to me—they’re family. I currently work full-time Monday–Friday from 8 AM–5 PM, but I’m available for morning visits before work and evening visits after work. On weekends, my schedule is much more flexible, and I’m available anytime! What I Offer : I’m happy to take your dog for walks, let them enjoy some backyard time, or simply hang out and keep them company. Of course, there will be plenty of fresh water, meals, snuggles, belly rubs, and attention along the way! For cats, I’m happy to provide fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, and plenty of love and attention—whether they want cuddles or prefer to pretend I don’t exist. My goal is to keep your pets comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away!

Abbygale was great! She took amazing care of my cat while I was gone for a week long trip. She kept me updated with photos and spent extra time caring for him. Snickerdoodle seemed very happy in all the photos and she did a great job of communicating and keeping me updated as she was caring for him.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Trophy Club. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
