“We are so happy, our three cats were happy, well-fed, and content when we returned. Rebecca is trustworthy, attentive, and clearly loves animals. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring. She’s truly wonderful!”

“Wendy was amazing with our crew. She was prepared for our meet and greet, and went above and beyond to adjust her schedule for us. She’s been an absolute life saver for our family and all our last minute needs. The pets adore her and we feel safe leaving them in her hands. We couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Sophia was a great sitter, followed guidance and always sent the cutest pictures of our furbabies! She was reliable and gave our two cats and 70 pound dog lots of attention and treats while we were gone.”

“Anna was great! The animals instantly knew she was a friend. She was prompt, kind, and communicative. Would highly recommend and we will be rebooking her in the future. A++”

“Carole provided drop-in visits for my cat during the holidays. She was very communicative and followed all instructions I provided to her. Highly recommend her as a pet sitter!”

“Kathrine was outstanding, so calming and kind. Hank was well cared for and comfortable while we were gone. She communicated well. So thankful I found Kathrine! I highly recommend her!”

“My fur-children were safe and happy while I was gone thanks to Melanie. Melanie communicated and sent photos allowing me to enjoy my trip worry free. I highly recommend this professional, competent and caring sitter.”

“This was our first time using Rover so we were a bit nervous. But once we met them, we felt very confused leaving Mo in their hands. They were very responsive and Mo looked really happy in the photos they sent. Can’t thank you all enough!”

“Linda is an amazing cat sitter! She took exceptional care of my senior cat, making sure he was well-fed, had fresh water, received his medication on time, and gave him lots of love and attention! She also kept his litter box spotless by cleaning it twice a day. It was such a relief knowing he was in such good hands while I was away. Linda is reliable, attentive, and truly cares about the pets she looks after. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”
“Annabelle was the best sitter! I was so nervous leaving our dogs for a week, as we have never left them for that long of a period of time. They stayed at our house, and Annabelle came 3x a day and sent me tons of pictures. It was so reassuring to see that they were always happy and smiling and wagging their tails upon her arrival. I left lots of directions, and she followed them perfectly. I found that I didn't have to worry one bit about them because Annabelle went above and beyond in caring for our dogs. I would absolutely recommend Annabelle to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter!”

About: This is my new profile from my previous inactive one! i’m 21 years old, I am local to the Lantana/Argyle area and have been for the past 8 years of my life with pet care experience reaching back 10 years. i was born in Missouri, the first place i was able to be blessed with a beautiful family husky named raven, coming before my second family dog named max (boxer). after him came the 3 little comedians in my pet profile. I love every dog and their personalities and being around a variety of them is more than a privilege for me! I currently do NOT live with my 3 dogs (kept at my parents house, as i bought another house in lantana with my brother) i will be working 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off at an oil rig in a few months, though my brother who lives with me (also a rover pet care worker) will be at the house 24/7. we both share the same policies and expectations for eachother when it comes to pet care and overnight sitting. my main rule with new dogs and animals in general is patience, empathy and logical solutions. i really don't like the whole getting mad at dogs thing so I tend to use this rule when training and/or sitting dogs as a way to prioritize both me & the pups comfort as well as to set a stable pattern of expected behavior both from me and the pup. I have a built in dog bath in my house as well as a large (ish) room dedicated to them having a place to walk around, eat, play and lay down when i'm not there, the room is also gated.
“Jessica watched my senior cat while I was on vacation and was fantastic! She sent pictures and was punctual with her visit times! I highly recommend Jessica and will use her for future visits :)”

“Cheryl took care of 6 of my cats while I was out of town for a week. She did an excellent job with my babies even though only 3 of them were brave enough to come out of hiding to see her. She did a great job communicating with me whilr i was gone. I would happily have her take care of them again in the future.”

About: I'm a huge animal lover, and have had everything from cats and dogs to ferrets and fish! I've always watched over other people's animals for as long as I can remember and love every moment of it! From cuddling with a lazy fur baby to going on long runs to let out some energy, I've always been able to match any pets energy! I am a full time college student currently studying at NCTC! I'm usually free for the most part if not in class or the weekends where I get most of my studying and homework out of the way! I'm always willing to abide by any house rules you may have or areas that are off limits or need extra eyes on. I'm more than happy to crate dogs and make sure cats try not to scratch up furniture!
“Hailey was very communicative and caring to our pups! She played with the dogs, administered pills every morning and even took our trash to the curb! Thank you Hailey!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bartonville. On Rover:

- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
