“Kim was a savior for me leaving my cat at home on her own for the first time in a new city. She went above and beyond keeping an eye on Autumn by spending more time than I could have ever expected when a surprise sprinkler inspection happened over 2 days within my building. I can’t recommend her enough for all the little things she did to make Autumn’s time better during my absence.”

“Karien is wonderful with our boy! Remington feels very comfortable with her. This is our first time relying on someone else to take care of him and seeing how Karien treats him has given us peace of mind.”

“We’ve been using Penny for a while and she’s the best! I’ve even requested her super last minute and she always pulls through. Our pup loves her and she always takes the best pictures!”

“The dogs were so happy when we got home. It was a great way to end our vacation. Sarah was wonderful and kept us informed. Knowing Sarah was taking care of our dogs made us feel so comfortable. It was very nice to not worry about your animals while trying to enjoy some time away. Thank you!!!”

“Lauryn always takes great care of my cat, and my cat has gotten more comfortable with her each time I’m out of town which says a lot for my timid girl! I also get lots of pictures which I appreciate!”

About: I have owner various pets throughout my life and there has never been a time that I have not had an animal in my house. We relocated to the USA two years ago, and have recently adopted a 1 year old Cavapoo. I am currently not working, and my husband works from home, so there is usually someone at home. My kids do take part in sports, so I usually use their practices as outings for the pets I watch and take them along. If you are not comfortable witb this, please let me know. Unfortunately no aggressive breeds are permitted at my home. I am happy to come to your home to spend time with your pets, giving cuddles and taking them for walks in safe neighborhoods. I do not have pets at my home so I am able to take care of your small pets at my home. I have a fenced garden area for potty breaks.
About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the combination of reliability, patience, and personalized care I bring to every pet and family I work with. I treat every animal like they’re my own, paying close attention to their routines, comfort, and personality so they feel safe and happy while you’re away. I make time in my schedule to give pets the attention, care, and consistency they need. I’m reliable, flexible, and committed to following each pet’s normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate routines, and house rules. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners always know their pets are safe and happy! Safety is always my top priority. I carefully supervise pets during walks and playtime, keep environments clean and secure, and make sure pets are never put into stressful or unsafe situations.

About: I’ve grown up around both dogs and cats and have experience with dog walking and everyday pet care. I also have experience administering nightly oral medication to my sisters Rottweilers and understand the importance of following a consistent routine and paying close attention to a pet’s needs. I’m patient, responsible, and committed to providing a safe, loving environment while you’re away. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule that can often be adjusted to fit your pet’s needs. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I’m committed to being reliable and making sure your pet stays on their normal routine. I enjoy spending time with animals and will give them the attention, exercise, and care they deserve while you’re away. I always prioritize keeping pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. In my home, I have two friendly cats who can either be kept separate in their own room or, if your cat is social and enjoys company, they would love to play and interact. I do not allow cats outside, so they will always be kept safely indoors. For dogs, we have a securely fenced yard for supervised play and exercise, along with plenty of attention, walks, and cuddle time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual schedule, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions to help their pet feel relaxed and at home.
“Amber was absolutely amazing when I was scrolling looking for someone I just got a great feeling about her I made the perfect Choice. I was away on a birthday trip 7 days, and she took incredible care of my cat, Arrow, the entire time. She kept in touch with me every day, sending updates and pictures that gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She made sure Arrow was well cared for, played with him, scooped his litter box, and even took the litter outside afterward to make sure my apartment stayed fresh which was great to come home to. She also took the time to let him drink from the faucet his absolute favorite thing! which showed me that she really paid attention to his personality and routines. On top of taking such great care of Arrow, Amber went above and beyond by bringing my trash can in and even putting my birthday flowers inside the house and in fridge to keep them fresh for me 🥹 It’s clear that Amber genuinely cares about the pets she watches and treats them like her own. Knowing Arrow and my home were in such good hands allowed me to fully enjoy my vacation. I highly recommend Amber to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and thoughtful pet sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“We love having Andrea come to check on our puppy! She is always reliable and I love the updates and pictures she provides! We definitely will continue booking with her😊”

“Enrique did a fantastic job keeping an eye on our fur babies. They seemed very happy. We were happy with all the updates and communication he provided. We will definitely be reaching out in the future for dog sitting again, thank you Enrique.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was very young. From hamsters, rabbits and cats to dogs, goats and horses. I promise to care for your fur babies as well as you do 🥰 I am currently partially retired so I have plenty of time, day or night, to help others care for their fur babies. What better way to spend my time 🤗 I currently have 2 aging cats who are “indoor” cats. They do go out back once in a while, but they never leave the patio. They love just sitting outside in the sunshine watching the birds. Our dog stays in the house at night and when we are away, but loves to play ball outside. Our fur babies are family.
“Ann was absolutely wonderful! She provided such thoughtful updates with photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can tell she truly cares and goes the extra mile. We’re so grateful and would happily book with her again!”

Lauryn took incredible care of our cat for a little over three weeks. We know our cat wasn't the easiest at first with her injections, and we are so grateful to Lauryn and her husband for stepping up, trying different things, and finding a creative way to handle an elderly cat safely. It gave us total peace of mind knowing she was in such capable and caring hands. Thank you for going above and beyond. We highly recommend Lauryn!

Kim K. Is a FANTASTIC sitter , she went above and beyond with my three kitties and my bunny as well! She played with them and cleaned up after them and was very thorough, she is AMAZING and was a lifesaver for me especially since I have never left my kitties before now. She will definitely be re-booked! Thank you so much Kim!!!!!

Madison was wonderful. She kept me updated with photos and reports while I was away. My trip was last minute and Madison came to the rescue. Madison also went above and beyond, replaced the batteries for my keyless entry and spent some extra time when she felt our Jojo needed the attention!! Hope Madison is available next time we have to go away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
