“Madeleine was dependable and resourceful. I left a feral cat in her care and he was more challenging than I expected. Bernie had not been socialized and ran away whenever Madeleine came. But she stayed, talked to him and tried to coach him over to her. She also made sure that he had food and water to drink. I know that her care insured Bernie being here when I came home. I appreciate it.”

“The best cat sitter you could ever ask for!!!! Kim goes above and beyond if there is any issue. She took lots of extra care on our very anxious cat and even alerted us to an unwanted swarm of bees that broke into our house. She put all my anxiety at rest knowing our kitty was being so loved. Our 3rd time hiring her and won’t be our last!”

“Daniella was amazing! She was super communicative, reliable, and clearly cared so much about my dog. I loved the updates and photos—it gave me so much peace of mind. My dog was happy and well taken care of when I got back. I already booked with her again and highly recommend her!”

“We’ve been using Penny for a while and she’s the best! I’ve even requested her super last minute and she always pulls through. Our pup loves her and she always takes the best pictures!”

“Alexis was amazing! She was so sweet and patient with our boys and made sure they were comfortable and cared for. She played with them inside and outside and spoiled them with treats. They were sad when she left. Can’t wait for her to visit them again!”

“Sarah was great!! I had a busy week of travel and she was a life saver to stop by and take care of my Frank and do drop ins to feed and walk him. Pictures and notes on the visit were great.”

About: I have taken care of and been around animals since I was 7. Walking, feeding, bathing and playing with animals. One of my biggest joys in life. I am soon to be working a full time job but will still have plenty of time to fit your pups and cats into my schedule! I live in a apartment therefore I can not board in my home but if you’re welcoming into your own home, I will be more than happy to stay with your fur babies if it fits into my schedule! I love the outdoors and I’m always looking for a reason to get out more so I love walks, especially with a furry friend.
“This is the second time Ari has kittysat for me, and she is just as awesome again. She arrives with on time and searches for the kitties until she finds one to photo. She scoops the litter and does a great job with feeding.”

About: I am a five star, exceptional pet sitter . I can send video and pictures every day that I have your pet. I have been a pet owner since I was a little girl. I’ve had several different kinds of dogs all small dogs and also I have cared for the elderly for years. I’m currently not working, I am a caregiver and I take care of an elderly person. I also took care of two little puppies. One is a Maltese and one is a Shih Tzu., I have an apartment, however I do have a small fenced in yard, I have a dog park also, and I have two small dogs that get along great with other animals and also children and also seniors. I have been a dog lover for years.

About: From puppies to seniors, I’ve been around dogs my whole life, at least three dogs in my house my whole life. I learned to be responsible and became infatuated with pet-behaviors and learning the way every pet wants to be interacted with. I’ve also grown to love rescues, and have two of my own. While I’m not lucky enough to be a full-time animal enthusiast as my career, my favorite “hobby” is anything to do with dogs, the best way to take care of them, and make sure they enjoy their life. I have two pets of my own, one with special needs. I quite literally view them both as my own children, and do everything I can to know they feel and get treated that way. My pup gets her walks, play time, down time and routine care every day (along with all the snuggles), and as long as he gets attention (and maybe some chicken tubes) my kitty is happy. Even with working full time, I make sure they are my number one my priority. I quite literally view my own pets as my own children, and I know they will always be that way. My boyfriend finds it a bit much, but before her walks, my dog gets her puppy shoes on and off we go, to make sure she doesn’t get her burnt feet. I tend to be a bit of a worry-wart about my pets, I monitor their behavior and actions constantly. As soon as something may seem off with one of them, I’m already making calls and doing research as to what it may be. Thankfully, even with one pet of mine high risk for liver and kidney problems, they have been happy, healthy, and active pets (even with an apartment) since I’ve had them. My priority is always safety no matter the pet.
“Samantha was amazing! She agreed to drop in visits for our two dogs, THE DAY OF, when another sitter fell through. She was attentive, provided details of every visit, and even brought in our mail unsolicited. I can't recommend her highly enough!”

“First time using a sitter for our baby astro and Caitlin was fantastic! She provided top-notch care, ensuring our furry baby felt loved and comfortable. Excellent communication, punctuality, and a genuine passion for animals made the experience worry-free. Highly recommend!”

“Karien was great with our two dogs! She was on time, dependable, thorough in her notes and always stayed for the designated time. The photo and videos updates were SO VERY appreciated and a highlight for us while on vacation… we woke up each morning to multiple photos and videos of our pups. I cannot recommend Karien enough. We will definitely be reaching out to her in the future.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Elizabethtown
Kim was absolutely the best! She took amazing care of our fur babies and loved on them when we were gone. She always gave a thoughtful report and tons of amazing pictures. She was punctual and very professional. I will without a doubt be booking her again the next time we need a pet sitter.

Lauryn took incredible care of our cat for a little over three weeks. We know our cat wasn't the easiest at first with her injections, and we are so grateful to Lauryn and her husband for stepping up, trying different things, and finding a creative way to handle an elderly cat safely. It gave us total peace of mind knowing she was in such capable and caring hands. Thank you for going above and beyond. We highly recommend Lauryn!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
