About: I have been around pets all my life. I grew up on a farm with several different animals. Our family favorite has always been dogs. Now, I share that enjoyment with my kids. They love being around dogs too! We enjoy walking our own dogs and playing with them. Your pet would have a loving environment with lots of attention with us! I am a stay at home mom. About: Hello, I’m Abbygale but go by Ari or Abby. Recently I adopted a cat where most of my experience comes from, as well as a different range of animals through Rover itself. My experience is a little basic but I am very open to growing. This schedule is in place August 21-December 13. I may not be able to leave campus to check-in with animals. I’m a full time student at TCC, my Fall 2023 schedule will roughly be: Monday 1-7, Tuesday/Thursday 12-4, Wednesday 9:30-7. When it comes to caring for animals, I can only take up to three (3), I’m flexible in some regards but talking it through will result in the best case. I stick with the schedule, if given, so that the pet doesn’t stress out over it. I’ll be as flexible as given.

“If I had to describe John in one word, it would be “amazing.” We are new to Dallas and needed someone to walk our two dogs on very short notice, and John was kind enough to step in and help. Our dogs are not difficult, but they definitely have their own personalities. One is a 120 lb German Shepherd who loves chasing squirrels (and climb trees to meet their families), rabbits, and sometimes even butterflies, and he also thinks he needs to make friends with every dog he sees. Our other one is an 18 lb Shih Tzu who is a little pampered and does not like walking in the sun. What really stood out to us was how patient, caring, and thoughtful John was with both of them. During the first couple of days, when our Shih Tzu decided he was done walking after finishing his business, John actually picked him up and carried him while continuing the walk because our German Shepherd still wanted more time outside. For the last few days, he even walked them separately so each of them could get the individual attention they needed. That level of care says a lot about John. He was always on time, courteous, respectful, responsible, and genuinely loving toward our dogs. We are very thankful for his help and would definitely look forward to having him take care of our boys again in the future.”

About: Hi! I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet with someone you trust, so my goal is to make every dog feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I have had dogs of my own, as well as cared for other dogs, of all ages and sizes! Your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and affection from my whole family. I love spending time outdoors, staying active, and making sure every dog gets the care and comfort they need. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, they will be treated like part of the family. I take pride in being dependable, communicative, and attentive to each dog’s unique needs. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! I currently work from home full-time. I am available for boarding and sitting during the day all throughout the week. Your pet will always have a companion! In my home, pets have access to a secure fenced yard where they can safely roam, play, and get exercise with supervision. Inside, they are treated like part of the family with plenty of attention, affection, fresh water, feeding on schedule, potty breaks, and a clean environment. I can also crate pets if needed or if that is part of their regular routine at home.

“1st-time using a service like "Rover." I will NEVER take our dog to a Boarding Facility IF I don't have to. Our dog is accustomed to a tranquil environment and was never kenneled. Imagine being in a loud facility, with barking dogs and caged for days (walking breaks provided, but, no freedom to roam.) I found Rover after boarding our dog 3 times. My 1st experience and I'm thrilled I did. You can filter to sitters who take 1 dog at a time, no children, etc. Ok about Amy: What a GEM! Communicative, Clean, genuinely Kind, and Professional. My husband and I live close to Amy (another plus,) but even if we moved 1 hour away we would still rebook with Amy as long as she's available. Upon pick-up our dog ran to us, but as we recapped with Amy and her husband our dog kept going to them too. I told her I was unsure if he would be happy to see us because he is living his best life at "Aunt Amy's" lol. I'm a "non-worrier," however, I didn't realize how much Amy's' consistent checked-in with photos and a couple of videos helped put my mind at ease, my soul at peace, and allowed me to fully enjoy my honeymoon without thinking too much about our dogs' wellbeing.
