“Kathleen took great care of my dog, Frankie. He is typically somewhat anxious, but she made him feel right at home. He was relaxed and content during his stay. She sent daily pictures that helped ease me while away. Kathleen has a great set up for dogs to feel at home. She has treats and some toys there for them to play with, if they so desire. She is home with them -which helped me - knowing Frankie wasn't going to be stuck in a crate all day. I would highly recommend her for your dog caring needs.”

“Sabrina was fantastic! She watched our Sami girl while we we’re out of the country for our destination wedding and even though my messages didn’t always go through she sent updates regularly with photos and you could just tell how comfortable Sami was in her home. I only want to use Sabrina moving forward for any future travel plans!”

“Victoria took great care of Sasha! She sent regular photos and updates, made sure she got her meds, gave her treats, and took her on walks. I could tell Sasha was in good hands. Thanks Victoria!”

“Our pups enjoyed their stay with Melissa and her family. She kept us updated and was quick to respond if we had any questions. We will be using Melissa again and would not hesitate to recommend.”

“She was extremely friendly, has a very dog-friendly house, and had all of the dogs under control. We were nervous leaving a tiny puppy with a sitter, but she sent multiple pictures and updates about our pup. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Terry was great with my 18 month old puppy. He was attentive and gave my dog plenty of fun engagement and interaction all week long. I was nervous to leave my puppy with non-family for the first time, but seeing Terry’s preparation and passion for hosting dogs was so reassuring. What a wonderful first experience using Rover! Thank you Terry!”

“Ashley was awesome with my baby’s and will definitely be using her in the future . My baby’s are usually anxious coming from a sitters home so to see them decompress as fast as they have, gives me comfort knowing they were well taken care of and loved on. Thank you’”

“Diana took great care of my Dog Wooly and was very understanding when my car broke down out of town and I couldn’t come to get Wooly as scheduled. She updated me daily on my dog’s condition and activities and gave him his meds as I instructed. Wooly will definitely love to stay with Diana again 🐾”

“Alexis and her family really care for your pets well being. They make sure that all their needs are managed. Getting the pictures and updates are a bonus! I will book again!”

“Super sweet and understanding! They are flexible and accommodating. They took excellent care of my baby and even gave her a bath! Thank you both, I would totally book with them again.”

“I’m so grateful to have found this wonderful couple to take care of Taro and Mochi while I was away on a business trip. They took such great care of my pups — it was clear they had a happy and fun-filled four days! I also received lots of photo updates, and I have to say, their photography skills are amazing — like professional pet photographers! I truly appreciate the love and attention they gave to my dogs. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Trophy Club
We left out Rocky for a one-day boarding and couldn't be happier with the experience! Toyin was absolutely wonderful — she gave his medicines on time, took him out for a walk, and sent us timely updates throughout the day so we always knew he was happy and well cared for. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Definitely recommend Zoie had the best time ever. I am so thankful for Lauren and her family for watching my dog Zoie. They went out of their way to make Zoie feel like apart of their family and that means more to me than anything. Looking forward to Zoie’s next stay with them.

Bridgette was absolutely amazing with our Yorkie Poo, Sadie. From the very beginning, she was warm, attentive, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She kept us consistently updated with messages, photos, and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Sadie settled in immediately and was clearly comfortable—playing, cuddling, and feeling at home. It was obvious she was getting tons of love and attention. Hearing how quickly Sadie bonded and seeing how happy she was meant everything to us. Bridgette went above and beyond, and we truly felt like Sadie was treated like part of the family. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
