“Deanna was awesome very responsive the whole time, and sent regular updates and pictures. was also very accommodating when I arrived early to the appointment. I could not recommend her more.”

“Anna took great care of Bear, we could tell she knows how to deal with dogs. She walked him and took pictures of him often. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Sara was absolutely amazing with my two dogs! Sara was super caring, attentive, and kept me updated the whole time with photos and messages, which really put me at ease. My pups instantly loved her and came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. You can tell Sara truly loves dogs — I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking again!”
“Melky and Jorge were fabulous! We left our 3 pups with them for a few days over the Christmas holiday. It was a last minute decision and our regular sitter was fully booked. Melky send a lot of photos every day showing the pups were having a good time, eating well, and having fun. When we got back, I went to pick them up. They were happy to see me but they kinda wanted to stay there longer. We will re-book with them for sure.”

“We have had a Regular Rover sitter for our Sissy for about 3 years, unfortunately she is moving away from this area and we had to find someone new. We did 3 meet and greets and are blessed to have picked Julie. She treated Sissy royally and since we came home, Sissy keeps going to the door, like, when do I get to go back. We are very, very pleased!”

“Both I and my dog, Sadie, are new to the area, recently arrived from Denver, so I was looking for someone who could make Sadie feel at home and relaxed. Julia and her family treated Sadie like part of the family and she was returned to me happy and healthy. I will use Julia again soon!”

“Ha took amazing care of our dog, PJ, while we were away for the weekend! From the moment we dropped him off, she made sure he felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for. One thing that really stood out was how patient and compassionate she was. PJ was having a hard time sleeping in his crate at night, and instead of letting him stay anxious, Ha allowed him to sleep with her so he could feel comfortable and secure. That level of care and kindness meant so much to us. She also kept us updated throughout the weekend with timely messages and photos, which gave us peace of mind knowing PJ was happy and in great hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares for your pet like they’re her own, we highly recommend Ha. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Mary Kathryn was phenomenal! She sent lots of update pictures and was incredibly responsive. She seemed to enjoy having my fur babies in her home, snuggled them, gave my boy lots of time outside and went on walks; they seemed to have had a great time. I will absolutely be a repeat client!”

“Tom and Julie kept Jake for 5 days during a snowstorm / cold snap in North Texas. We were pleased to hear that Tom took both Jake and his own dog Ally outside for frequent walks, even in the snow. Jake loves to go for walks and sniff the world. Tom is the main care giver and shared updates while we were away. We will use them again on future trips to care for Jake.”

“Patricia and her children did a wonderful job of taking care of Chloe. It was so nice to know that Chloe was in such caring hands. She will be the first person I call next time I'm in the area.”

“What a great experience. Nancy and her family were so nice and welcoming! We had a meet and greet before booking to make sure it was the right fit, and they took such great care of my pup. They made the anxiety of leaving him so low. Such a great family to choose! Thank you, Nancy!”

“I’m so glad my first experience using Rover was with Mindy for my dog! They were friendly, caring, and made me feel totally comfortable leaving my dog with them. They sent daily photos and updates. Their home was clean and safe, perfect for my dog to relax in. They even took extra care with my dog’s little quirks, which meant a lot. I highly recommend Mindy to anyone new to Rover or looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.”

“I had a great experience with Gabriela and Javier. They took care of my dog Wesley for 8 days, which was the longest I have ever left him, and I felt totally at ease the whole time. Gabriela was very responsive, from the beginning request throughout his whole stay. I could tell they were big dog lovers and cared about making Wesley feel comfortable. They walked him and played with him frequently. Gabriela sent updates multiple times. Best experience I’ve had on Rover, will definitely be using again!”

About: Growing up, my family had a Beagle named Chloe, who we adopted as a tiny pup. Later, we rescued an Australian Shepherd who quickly became my best buddy. I loved bathing him, taking him on walks, feeding him, and teaching him new tricks. When I moved to Texas in 2021, I stayed with a family who had a pit mix named Rosie. She immediately attached herself to me and I to her. When I moved out on my own, they allowed me to take me with her and she became my baby girl who did everything with me! In January 2026, I adopted my second dog, Raffi, another pit mix. He is a snuggle bug and very high energy. Rosie and him instantly became best friends and he was exactly the addition to the family that we needed! I am currently a Special Education Teacher in Lewisville ISD and am looking for something easy and meaningful to do over the summer- like caring for animals! Because of that I have a super flexible schedule during the summer months, so I’m available for walks, drop-ins, boarding, or pet sitting. Once the school year begins, I will still have flexible availability on weeknights and weekends. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and love providing them with attention, care, and companionship while their owners are away. I will care for your pet as if they were my own dog- with love, attention, pets, and treats if they’re allowed :) If I am house sitting, I treat your home as if it were my own.
“Allison was so wonderful and jumped to help last second! She sent me photos and videos of my fluffy boy and created a comfortable environment for him to spend the week. She will definitely be my go to puppy aunty!”

“Bob was incredible. He welcome my dog, Lucky, with open arms. As soon as I dropped Lucky, he feels like home. Bob cuddled him in no time. It's easy to communicate to Bob. He gave me updates. My dog loves his new home. Thanks Bob (and family) Looking forward for future stays.”

What an awesome experience! Ashley treated Bear like family from the first moment and was super responsive and flexible. She made this trip stress-free by ensuring that Bear was taken care of while we were on outings. I will be contacting her every time we come to Dallas!

Watching Paris with Jeremy was an absolute pleasure. He went above and beyond to make the experience smooth, enjoyable, and stress‑free. His attention to detail, patience, and willingness to help made everything feel effortless. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with genuine kindness, but Jeremy does exactly that. Truly outstanding work.

Jessica was wonderful with Bella! We boarded her for a week, and she came home just as happy as when I dropped her off. Jessica was incredibly accommodating, great communication and even took care of getting extra food when I realized I hadn't brought enough. Highly recommend!

Alexis is fantastic, one of the best Rover sitters we have had! She shared daily info & photos throughout the day. She cared for our Belgian Malinois, Shelby like one of her own. Shelby got regular exercise, playtime and household comforts like she was used to. Alexis was very accommodating for an early pickup time on the 1st of January and had all of Shelby’s belongings ready for us to travel! I highly recommend Alexis to watch your pet!

Bailey and her family were awesome with Mckienna!!! Bailey was very welcoming and loving towards Mckienna. She treated Mckienna like she was her personal dog, I’m very appreciative of that. She also sent great pictures and updates! I will definitely book again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
