“We were updated regularly with photos and some videos. It was nice to feel assured that she was happy and safe. This was our first time using the app and I would definitely use the app again based on this experience.”

“Nikki and her partner were super nice and Bru enjoyed his time with both their dogs. He came home all happy and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend her and go back for my next sitting needs.”

“Amazing as always! We are so thankful to have found Kaley. The only thing we worry about is whether our dog will want to come back home with us or not at the end of the stay haha he loves playing with Louie and gets the royal treatment at Kaley’s. Thank you guys!!”

“Anna and her husband were amazing! She took the time to meet my dog Leo and I beforehand so he could get comfortable with her. She comforted Leo when it started raining since he’s terrified of the storm weather. She sent me updates of how he was doing frequently and many pics. I feel like I can drop him off with Anna and know that he will be well taken care of. Highly recommend!”
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and caring for them has always been more than a hobby—it’s a passion. From dogs and cats to birds, rabbits, and hamsters, I’ve spent years learning how to understand, respect, and care for animals of all personalities and needs. For over 20 years, I’ve worked professionally in animal training, specializing in behavior, communication, and biomechanics. My career has taught me how to read body language, build trust, encourage positive behavior, and handle situations calmly and confidently. I believe every animal deserves to be understood as an individual, and I always tailor my approach to their unique personality. My passion for animals also led me to study veterinary medicine. Although I ultimately chose a different career path because I realized I wasn’t emotionally prepared to witness animals suffering every day, the education gave me a strong foundation in animal health, welfare, and behavior that I carry with me in every interaction. Today, I work in the airline industry and travel regularly, so I understand firsthand how important it is to know your pets are safe while you’re away. I also know how expensive pet care can be, which is why I aim to provide reliable, high-quality care at a fair price. Although I’m new to Rover, I’m not new to pet care. For years, I’ve looked after friends’ and family’s pets during holidays, work trips, and emergencies—whether that meant overnight stays, walks, drop-in visits, feeding, administering basic care, or simply keeping them company. My approach is built on structure, kindness, and fun. I respect each pet’s natural instincts and personality while maintaining positive boundaries and routines. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, senior, or simply needs a little extra patience, I’ll adapt my care to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Safety is always my highest priority. I’m attentive during walks and outdoor adventures, keeping an eye on environmental hazards such as the high snake activity in our area, unfamiliar animals, and anything else that could put your pet at risk. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved companion in someone else’s care. I treat every pet as if they were my own—with patience, respect, affection, and genuine attention to their wellbeing. My goal is simple: for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, safe, and in caring hands. When I’m on the ground, I work a regular 9-to-5 schedule, which allows me to provide pet care before and after work, as well as on evenings and weekends. I’m also happy to discuss special arrangements when needed and will always be upfront about my availability. I understand that every pet has different needs and routines. When caring for friends’ pets, I always follow the owner’s preferences, whether that means short walks, longer adventures, scheduled feeding times, play sessions, or simply keeping them company and safe. My goal is to maintain as much consistency as possible so your pet feels comfortable and secure while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I live in an apartment with a safe balcony, which is why I stated that I only accept small to medium-sized pets at my place. Pets staying with me are welcome to relax and be themselves in a calm, loving environment. They can socialize with my two friendly and well-behaved dogs, or I can keep them separated if that better suits their personality, routine, or your preferences. I’m happy to accommodate crate training if your pet uses a crate, and I carefully follow any instructions you provide regarding routines, feeding, exercise, or supervision. Pets may stay comfortably at home while I’m at work, provided they are house-trained and comfortable being left alone for reasonable periods. Whether in my home or yours, I focus on creating a safe, structured environment where pets feel secure, respected, and well cared for.

“I’m so grateful to the dog sitters for taking such wonderful care of Bruno and Shelby! They made sure my pups never ran out of food, took them on regular walks, and kept me in the loop with photos and videos. I’m sure they can’t wait to go back and stay with you—and hang out with Luca again! Thank you so much!”

“Bethany sent us daily messages and photos, which helped us greatly anticipate Kiko’s day and gave us peace of mind. She followed our instructions carefully and understood Kiko well, allowing us to trust her completely and feel at ease during our month-long family trip. I strongly recommend her!”

“Sara is the best! My pooch Layla had a great time while I was out of town. Pics were sent to show the play time and snuggles she had while I was away. I loved them. Nice backyard with plenty of space. Sara watched another dog along with her own, along with her toddler. So, if that is a concern she may not be a good choice for you. But they all seemed to get along quite well. I will use Sara again in the future. A+”

“Patricia and her children did a wonderful job of taking care of Chloe. It was so nice to know that Chloe was in such caring hands. She will be the first person I call next time I'm in the area.”

“I needed a dog sitter super last minute, and she was amazing about stepping in and helping out. Communication was excellent—she responded quickly and kept me updated, which made the whole experience stress-free. I really appreciated how reliable and accommodating she was. Would absolutely recommend and use her again!”

“The amount of love and VIP care our fur baby received was unbelievable! Highly highly recommend if you want a family that truly knows the meaning of caring for a loved one. Thank you again Mindy for taking care of our fur baby and spoiling her while we were away.”
“Thank you so much! Buddy loves staying with your family! We are able to enjoy our time away in full confidence that he is safe and having a great time! We call your place "Buddy's resort vaca"!!!!!”

“Tonia always provides excellent care for my dogs. Great for drop ins and boarding. She is prompt and diligent. I love all of the updates I get and feel very confident with her caring for my dogs.”

“Allison took such great care of our dog. She was flexible with pick up/drop off and gave me text/photo updates as well. I could tell after we picked up Layla and she kept looking back for her that she had a great time! Highly recommend!”

“Dane and Celeste are amazing! They took my dog in on short notice for a work trip & he had a great report card with them & their pups. They sent lots of pics and so easy to communicate with. Will def be booking again!”

“The person we have been boarding our dogs with quit and I had to take a business trip. Our dogs, like most I'm sure, are spoiled and because I work from home, I am with them all the time. Finding someone to trust my "babies" with was very stressful. Syrah was very understanding and very nice and sent pictures right away so I could see they were doing well. She let them get up on the furniture and the bed, which they do at home, she loved on them and made my business trip much more manageable, knowing I didn't have to worry about them. We will be using Syrah to board our dogs as long as she will keep doing it. Thank you so much, Syrah!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Grapevine
Izzy boarded with Assenett for a week, and I swear she came back even better than when I dropped her off! She was more obedient, more attentive, and somehow even more fun to be around. It's honestly like Assenett is a dog whisperer. Not only did she step in at the last minute and save the day, but she also gave Izzy amazing care and attention while I was away. Knowing my dog was happy, safe, and in such good hands gave me complete peace of mind. Assenett is my go to when I need someone I can trust with Izzy, and she consistently goes above and beyond. I received constant updates and beautiful photos of Izzy multiple times throughout the day, everyday. I couldn't be happier with the experience. If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and truly exceptional dog sitter!

Jessica was wonderful with Bella! We boarded her for a week, and she came home just as happy as when I dropped her off. Jessica was incredibly accommodating, great communication and even took care of getting extra food when I realized I hadn't brought enough. Highly recommend!

Alexis is fantastic, one of the best Rover sitters we have had! She shared daily info & photos throughout the day. She cared for our Belgian Malinois, Shelby like one of her own. Shelby got regular exercise, playtime and household comforts like she was used to. Alexis was very accommodating for an early pickup time on the 1st of January and had all of Shelby’s belongings ready for us to travel! I highly recommend Alexis to watch your pet!

Bailey and her family were awesome with Mckienna!!! Bailey was very welcoming and loving towards Mckienna. She treated Mckienna like she was her personal dog, I’m very appreciative of that. She also sent great pictures and updates! I will definitely book again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
