“When we got our first dog, Wrigley, at 10 weeks old, we had no clue what an intricate member of the family he would become! I instantly worried that we would never go on vacation again, as I wasn't comfortable leaving him at a kennel. I started looking at Rover and when I saw that Jackie and Lambert were listed I was immediately relieved! Our paths had crossed with them before we got Wrigley and were always amazed at their kindness. I knew we had found the perfect place for our puppy when we go on vacation and that I wouldn't have to fly my dad in from out-of-state anymore! Yes, I'm that kind of doggie mom, which tells you that it is very important to me where I leave our pup. Jackie and Lambert took very good care of Wrigley and were not fazed by my instructions. He was evident from the many pictures and videos I received multiple times a day that he was happy and took a liking to both of them. Jackie and Lambert took Wrigley on multiple walks, played in the backyard with him, brushed him (I didn't even ask them to!), and most importantly, showed him lots of love. Wrigley is a cuddler and from the photos looks like he quickly claimed his spot on the couch cuddling Lambert. They knew that Wrigley slept in his crate next to our bed, so Lambert even slept next to his crate every night! We really appreciated this. Jackie keeps a scrapbook of their Rover doggies that is proof of how much they love doing this! I would write more, but I just spied my 10-month old puppy digging in the backyard (argh! although Jackie said he was a perfect angel for them!), so don't hesitate- book your next vacation and book Jackie and Lambert!”

“This was my first experience to keep my pet Abby away from me and that too for 1 night. So I was looking for a house and a family where Abby will not miss us and someone will love her and take care of her same like us. And I should say, I got the perfect family. Shilpa is very passionate about her profession so she knows how to take care of our kids (dogs). She allowed Abby to rome around her house, jump on sofa, bed. She was talking, cuddling Aaby to make her comfortable. To make us relax she was constantly in touch with us through messages, photos, videos. Abby enjoied her stay and though it is first time, she did well, ate her food and that credit goes to Shilpa and family. She made sure Abby will get all the comfort. In our house Abby sleeps with us on our bed and not in crate. When I told this concern to Shilpa, she said that's perfectly fine and she made space for Abby in her bedroom. When we went to pick Abby, Shilpa gave us Abby's report card which was feedback from her about how Abby did. The report has everything what a caring parent need to know like whether he/she ate, played well, potty/accidents, behavior with other dogs, people, barking. Everything was included in that report. I will definitely recommend to keep your child (dog) with her and be relaxed and concentrate on the purpose for which you want to use her services.”

About: Obviously cats have their likes and dislikes, if you can give me a rough explanation of how they usually act I can adapt well. From a cat with the zoomies, or a lazy bones who won’t move except for food, it really won’t make a difference. About: I am Svenja, or Anthea and I am certified in animal care according to the standards of Germany and the European Union. And as long as I can think I have loved to care for animals. All my services are covered by Pet Sitter insurance (Pet Care Insurance)! What does that mean? It means I have successfully completed a 3 year apprenticeship and passed the final exams in animal care, which consists of a full time position as a trainee in a state acknowledged animal shelter as well as school classes on basics of medical care for animals, animal rights (EU standards), basic dog training and proper enrichment and species appropriate care and enclosure conditions, to name a few. I also received education and training for farm animals and rodents. During my work at the animal shelter I have raised many litters of orphaned kittens as well as cared for pets with disabilities, seniors and pups of all kinds. I have experience in administering medications such as insulin and assisted our vet during examinations. I have also worked with rodents, birds, reptiles and aquatic life. After my time at the shelter I worked in a dog day care where I supervised large groups of dogs, formed play groups based on the different dogs character, energy level and play style and provided owners with reports about unusual behaviors or possible health or training related concerns. Please note that I am not a vet or vet tech, and therefore am not able to make any final diagnosis. If I notice symptoms or other reasons for concern during my time with your pet I will always communicate it with you and if deemed appropriate, seek out a vet for a proper examination! I do have a full time job, my hours are 6am-2:30pm which means I am available in the afternoon, evening and during nighttime for walks and drop ins. I am open to do housesitting during my work days as well as long as you and your pet are confident, they will be fine unsupervised during my work time, or you have arrangements for another supervisor whilst I'm gone. (dog daycare, family member, drop in/walk sitter...) If someone else will be in your home while I am gone please ensure that I am aware of the times they will be there and provide me with a way to contact them, so we can ensure the best care for your pet. I am also rather flexible with my days off as long as you notify me ahead of time in case you need full 24hour (or longer) supervised care for your pet, just let me know! I have several years of experience working for animal shelters and dog daycares, and owned both cats and dogs myself during most of my life. When it comes to training a pet I work with positive reinforcement. For one on one time with your pet I adjust my approach depending on the animals demands. I generally keep it calm and remain approachable however I do not force contact or cuddles onto an animal that wants to keep to itself. Whenever your pet decides it feels ready to approach me I will happily shower it with affection but it will always be on their terms (unless necessary medication is involved). I only transport animals in my car if they have a car approved safety harness which can be clipped into the seatbelt fastener, or if they have a travel box to use! ! My puppy loved seeing her come through the door and he attacked her with kisses everytime. She popped in to walk him on time everyday and even came in after the walk to check water/food levels! ❤️ 1000% recommend!!!! Will definitely be rebooking in the future.”

About: I have always loved animals. I have taken care of my neighbors, dogs and cats since I was 10 years old. I also used to volunteer at a rescue from middle school the high school with all sorts of dogs from different past. I currently work part-time. And my schedule is pretty flexible. I’m available on weekends and during the days or nights definitely on Wednesdays and Sundays. I have a fencing yard with a dog that’s about five years old. She’s great with the dogs easy to play with and I can easily create the dogs at night or any other time if need be.

“When we got our first dog, Wrigley, at 10 weeks old, we had no clue what an intricate member of the family he would become! I instantly worried that we would never go on vacation again, as I wasn't comfortable leaving him at a kennel. I started looking at Rover and when I saw that Jackie and Lambert were listed I was immediately relieved! Our paths had crossed with them before we got Wrigley and were always amazed at their kindness. I knew we had found the perfect place for our puppy when we go on vacation and that I wouldn't have to fly my dad in from out-of-state anymore! Yes, I'm that kind of doggie mom, which tells you that it is very important to me where I leave our pup. Jackie and Lambert took very good care of Wrigley and were not fazed by my instructions. He was evident from the many pictures and videos I received multiple times a day that he was happy and took a liking to both of them. Jackie and Lambert took Wrigley on multiple walks, played in the backyard with him, brushed him (I didn't even ask them to!), and most importantly, showed him lots of love. Wrigley is a cuddler and from the photos looks like he quickly claimed his spot on the couch cuddling Lambert. They knew that Wrigley slept in his crate next to our bed, so Lambert even slept next to his crate every night! We really appreciated this. Jackie keeps a scrapbook of their Rover doggies that is proof of how much they love doing this! I would write more, but I just spied my 10-month old puppy digging in the backyard (argh! although Jackie said he was a perfect angel for them!), so don't hesitate- book your next vacation and book Jackie and Lambert!”
