Dog Days of Joy
I lost my girl Vada, a husky collie mix, in 2024 and had cared for her for 11 years. I had rescued her at 3 years old and was blessed that she was already house broken. I acclimated her to many environments having moved multiple times while I had her. I've also cared for others dogs, some that were skittish and some hyper and was able to make them all feel comforted. I now have a young GSP I was gifted as a puppy in summer of 2025 who I’ve trained to be house broken among other commands and who is socialized. She got injured at a dog park and had to be splinted for a month. I nursed her through it including taking her on walks in a wheel chair to continue her exercise and need to release her energy and love for walks.

Kristina was great with my daughter’s 11 week old GSP puppy. I know they have a lot of energy and Dasher came home tired and ready to sleep. We will definitely use her again

Schedule
I work full-time remotely with occasional travel. I'm able to give the necessary attention and care throughout the day. I'm active and like going on routine daily walks throughout the week. During my lunch breaks I’ll take them outside for longer breaks with play.

Safety, trust & environment
I believe routine and consistency provides the best care for dogs and like rewarding positive behavior. I have a very calm demeanor in general and tend to get along well with a lot of pets and after spending a good bit of time with me they warm up to me and sometimes end up matching my temperament. I allow pets on some furniture in my home. I prefer them out of the bedrooms but still made comfortable.

I live close to the lake with paved and non-paved trails around it for walking, in addition to my fenced in yard for fetch and play.
