Very patient , SECURED , kept me updated , provided lots of photos & even videos :) , treated Thirty-One as her own , last but not least she greeted us with a FRIENDLY/WARM welcoming . “The dogs had a good time and were treated with lots of attention and kindness! This was a daycare trip one week before we are using Janet again for a week long stay. This trip went well and made us feel much better about leaving them their for a whole week.”

“Anna was absolutely amazing! She and her husband took such incredible care of my dog, Alaska, and were able to help me out with a very last-minute request, which I’m so grateful for. Being new to Texas, I was a little nervous leaving her somewhere, but they made me feel completely comfortable with frequent updates and the cutest pictures. When I picked Alaska up, she clearly loved being there and didn’t want to leave! They truly went above and beyond—I will definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing care.”

“Sarah took amazing care of Kenobi for the week! He was very comfortable and had a lot of fun on the visit. We will definitely rebook on our next trip out of town!”

“Sabrina was fantastic! She watched our Sami girl while we we’re out of the country for our destination wedding and even though my messages didn’t always go through she sent updates regularly with photos and you could just tell how comfortable Sami was in her home. “Ashley was awesome with my baby’s and will definitely be using her in the future . My baby’s are usually anxious coming from a sitters home so to see them decompress as fast as they have, gives me comfort knowing they were well taken care of and loved on. Thank you’”

“We took our Mini Aussie Fur Baby, to Jin and Weiliang's home to make sure she was adaptable to the home environment and afterwards, we decided that the house has a good fit for our our Fur Baby. While we were away for 3 day, we receive video and picture updates as morning check in updates. Our mini Aussie (Sugar) appeared to be very happy, we will definately use Jin and Weiliang every time we need their services.”

Angelica watched our goldendoodle baby, Cleo, for about 11 days while we were away. Cleo came home happy & well cared for, and I felt she was in good hands. Angelica was kind, responsive whenever I reached out, and clearly gave Cleo lots of love and attention. We appreciate the care she provided to our angel while we were traveling!

Lydia was great with our 1 year old Lab. She sent pics and updates daily and responded quickly to our extra enquiries. It was 100+ outside for a couple of days and she let us know she was keeping him inside and hydrated during those days. We would recommend her to keep your fur baby happy and safe while you’re away.
Kelcie is amazing!! She gives update photos almost daily and is very easy to get a hold of. She is very thorough with what’s expected and follows through on everything she does. My dogs definitely were happy when we were away, and even got spoiled with water outdoor fun, sunbathing, or taking a nap on the couch. Kelcie is our go-to sitter.

Thanks Rover for your services and Lauren who did an awesome job watching our puppy-baby. We were so nervous as it was our first time away from our puppy and Rover service. She kept us up to date and sent us pictures and we were very grateful for that…. I would definitely recommend Lauren and her family and will definitely use her services again (if she accepts my puppy again)

Hannah is my absolute go to! I have no worries while she is watching our dog, Jersey! She is very helpful and communicates well through the entire process. While trying to schedule travel is stressful enough, Hannah puts us at ease with her care and attentiveness.
We had a wonderful experience with Gina and she’s definitely our new favorite! She sent us lots of updates and photos throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our dogs clearly had an amazing time with her and her family. They looked so happy and comfortable in every update. We could tell they were very loved and well cared for. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter.

We had a wonderful experience with Sujata & Sachindra taking care of Fifi for the whole day. They kept us updated with pictures throughout the day, which made us feel very comfortable and happy. Fifi was well cared for, and we could tell she felt safe and loved with them. They were very kind, attentive, and communicative. We truly appreciate the care they gave Fifi and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy pet sitters!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
