About: I have been around pets all my life. I grew up on a farm with several different animals. Our family favorite has always been dogs. Now, I share that enjoyment with my kids. They love being around dogs too! We enjoy walking our own dogs and playing with them. Your pet would have a loving environment with lots of attention with us! I am a stay at home mom. So, currently, I have plenty of time to schedule pet care. Please let me know when your pet needs some TLC!) We have a fenced back yard with room for dogs to go out and stretch and take care of other business:-) We have two dogs that can easily stay with family while we watch your fur baby, or our little dog, can stay to give your dog company. We will be happy to play fetch or go on walks as well.
“Gayle, thank you for taking care of our little guy in a pinch. Really appreciate all the care and love you gave him especially the trips over to the doggie park. Sounds like he really enjoyed himself.”

“Boarding our 2 large German shepherds with Mary Kathryn was the best experience! She and her family very obviously love dogs, and they treated our babies like their own. She might have even spoiled them more than we do! We received tons of photos and updates everyday, and there was no question that the dogs were happy and well cared for. I will absolutely book with MK again!”

“Josh was easy to work with and very responsive to texts. I got daily photos of the dogs and I felt they were well taken care of as much to say they were hesitant to leave with me when I picked them up! :)”

“Birba had a wonderful stay with Carmen! Carmen took very good care of my pup, doing fun activities, walking, playing with her, sending daily pictures! Would definitely recommend her! Thanks!”

“Wow, Jonathan was amazing! You could tell that Skipper loved him the moment that they met and that she felt right at home. We will definitely be using Jonathan again in the future!”

“Abigail was wonderful with my pup. Kiwi is blind and requires extra TLC, and Abigail provided that and more. Kiwi needs eye drops and medication twice a day, and Abigail handled everything with ease and care. She was very responsive and consistently sent photos, which was so reassuring and sweet to see. I recently moved to Texas and had been searching for the right sitter for a while, and I immediately felt comfortable with Abigail. She was incredibly thoughtful and took the time to walk through each of Kiwi’s routines with me. I am so happy to say I have found a permanent sitter for Kiwi. I would absolutely recommend her without hesitation.”

“Great experience with Andrea! She took care of my 6 years old Maltepo. I was leaving for 12 days vacation and I couldn’t be happier with her taking care of him so well. She shared pictures and videos and knowing his behavior I could see he was in good hands.”

This is the second time we have left our Aussie with Destiny. She is fantastic with communication before and during our booking. She is very professional. She is caring and loving towards our pet baby. I will continue to book her every time we leave on vacations. She’s truly amazing!

OMG!! I had to travel with short notice and I’d just moved to the area… I checked Rovr and found Araselly! We did a meet up and she vibed with my dogs so well!! They love both her and her husband!! She sent me multiple pictures and updates! I will definitely be using Araselly s services again!

Brenda was absolutely amazing with our dog, Leo! He was recovering from a procedure and needed medication during his stay, and she took such great care of him. She made sure he received his medication on schedule and kept him comfortable and happy. What we appreciated most was her excellent communication. She sent us lots of videos and updates throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Leo was being treated like family. We are so grateful for the love, attention, and care she provided. I would highly recommend Brenda to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!

JoEllen was absolutely wonderful with Nixon during his 4-day stay. She was kind, accommodating, responsive, and clearly very capable. She made me feel comfortable from the start and consistently sent daily pictures and updates, which I truly appreciated. It genuinely seemed like Nixon had a great time with Nelson and Cooper, and I could tell JoEllen treated him like one of her own. That level of care means a lot when leaving your pup with someone else. I would definitely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter!

This was an amazing first time experience using the Rover app. All because of Jennifer. She was very thorough with her communication and she sent me several pictures to assure me that my dog was in good hands. I am so grateful to have found someone trusting, kind and someone that loved my special needs dog. I would book again with her for sure.

Karina was so awesome with Creed. She had great communication and sent me such cute videos and photos of his stay with her. They went on lots of walk and she was able to tire all his energy out lol. He is a busy little guy. I would recommend Karina anytime you need a sitter for your furry friend!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
