“Sara was wonderful with my baby, Diva. She took great care of her and kept me updated, which really put this worried dog mom's mind at ease during a stressful time. I'm so grateful for her kindness, care, and attention. Highly recommend! 🐾💕”

“It’s always super nerve wracking leaving your baby with someone new but Angela was great and made me feel so comfortable! She has a big backyard and always on point sending pictures&videos to ease your mind. She’s great and would definitely recommend! ?”

“Monica was very nice and sent photos of our dogs everyday during their stay. The house has a large back yard and plenty of room for large dogs to run around, though inside seemed a little cramped. Monica provided a doggy report card for each pup after their stay, as she is a sub teacher, which was pretty cool and even included a few dog treats/toy in a goodie bag when we left. She was very helpful with everything.”

“Frankie was tired after her stay, so I know she had fun playing with her dogs. She sent me picture updates and took her to the dog park too! She seemed well cared for and loved on.”

“Hayley and her family were absolutely AMAZING. One of the best dog sitters on Rover. Her experience with rescues and fosters made me so comfortable leaving my dog with her. She made sure my dog was well loved, walked, and taken care of. Constant pictures and videos kept me up to date. She responds so quickly. 100% recommend her to everyone.”

“Thao was absolutely amazing! Kobe was taken care off at the best possible manner. If I am ever in the area I will def leave my pet in care of his Services! thanks again!”

“Yvonne is amazing, it was our first time using Rover and ended up being an amazing experience. Yvonne sent pictures everyday and kept us posted on how our dogs were doing.”

“Very nice and caring sitter. It was our first time to leave our baby and Rhonda was very understanding and communicative. Will definitely use her again if the need arises!”

“Excelente. Apolo estaba feliz cuando llegamos a buscarlo. Siempre nos mantuvo informados y envío videos y fotos. Definitivamente volveremos a dejarlo con ella en nuestras próximas vacaciones.”

“Misty, Michael and Kaitlyn are very sweet people and I think they loved Harry. Harry loved their daughter Kaitlyn and she prob spoiled him with affection. Would def consider them in the future”

“Thanks Again...This is our second time having Aimee care for Lilly. I appreciated Aimee's heart to make Lilly feel safe and welcome. She even reached out to find out if Lilly sleeps on the bed or on the floor in her bed. 😊We will definitely see Aimee and Remie (her pet) again.!!!”

“Susan was wonderful from the very beginning. From our initial introduction, it was clear how caring and attentive she is, and my dog was immediately comfortable going with her. She sent regular update photos throughout the day, which was so reassuring and really put my mind at ease. It meant a lot knowing my dog was happy, safe, and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Victor is awesome. She goes out of her way to make my fur babies loved and welcomed. This was my second time and I have already scheduled her again. Highly recommend her.”

“Libby expertly cared for our newly adopted dog, Louis, when he boarded in her home! I was a nervous new mama before leaving but my fears were put to rest the moment Louis walked into Miss Libby’s home! Libby cared for Louis with love and affection, sent lots of pictures, and cued us in on a behavioral concern (which I’m grateful for and happy to know about, thanks Libby!!). I feel confident in rebooking with Libby next time we go on vacation!”

“Ernest was incredible! He was boarding a lot of dogs during the holiday week when our 2 pups were there, but he was very organized, communicative, and made sure the dogs got lots of attention. We received updates throughout the stay, and he was always very responsive. He was very flexible in accommodating our dropoff and pickup, even though it was so early in the morning. Our dogs came home happy and healthy, I'm sure they would love to stay with Ernest again. Finally, Ernest really went above and beyond to help us on during our travels. He even gave us a ride to the airport and helped put in air my flat tire when we got home. I believe that dogs can tell when someone is a good person, and they respond to that -- and Ernest is a great person!”

“I contacted Zachary and his wife last minute after previous dog sitting fell through. They have a ton of experience, and a great home set up for visiting pups. I felt confident that they could handle my Big dogs and their big personalities. They treated my dogs like they were apart of their family, and I was provided updates and pictures everyday. I was able to have so much peace of mind while I was working, and I am so grateful for their amazing care and communication!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Richland Hills
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Abigail! Every year our family takes a week-long beach vacation to 30A, and this was the first time we boarded Rocket in someone’s home instead of a traditional kennel. Rocket is a very clingy little guy. He is happiest when he’s right beside us, looking for an opportunity to jump in a lap or curl up on the couch for a snuggle. Needless to say, we were a little nervous about how he’d do. We shouldn’t have worried. Abigail and her three sweet daughters treated Rocket like he was part of the family. He got plenty of playtime, daily walks, and, most importantly, lots of couch snuggles and attention. It was obvious from the photos that he felt completely at home. Abigail was also outstanding with communication. Throughout the week she kept us updated through the Rover app with messages and photos. I think she sent more than 65 pictures while we were away! Seeing Rocket happy and relaxed made it so much easier for us to enjoy our vacation. If you’re looking for someone who will genuinely love and care for your dog as if it were her own, I can’t recommend Abigail highly enough. She is wonderful, and we will absolutely book with her again.

Alexis, provided a very warm and welcoming home for us to feel comfortable leaving Daisy 🌼 in her care for a few days. She was very knowledgeable of dog behavior and how to positively introduce Daisy to her own dogs, her family and her inside and outside environment. She took time to send us updates after we left and throughout Daisy’s stay with photos of Daisy playing and relaxing around her home away from home. We enjoyed knowing Daisy was safe and comfortable while we participated in the weekend of a family wedding and activities. Thank you Alexis, we’d rebook in a heartbeat.

Lauren was amazing & so kind! our dogs are a little older (and a little stubborn) and she had no problems settling in to their normal routine. she provided great updates so we always felt like they were being taken care of. Lauren is definitely our new go-to for whenever we are out of town. thank you!

My pup loved loved loved staying with Alexis and her family. She came home calm and relaxed because of so much play time. I got lots of updates with pictures and videos. I hesitate to rave too much about them so they won't be booked with other people when I need them. Such a wonderful pet sitter!

I had to leave the country for two weeks and felt completely at ease leaving my dogs with Shabeena. My active pup had the best time playing with her dog, while my older lady got all the pampering and cuddles she loves. They were absolutely spoiled with treats, love, and attention, and I received the cutest photo updates that made being away so much easier. I couldn’t have asked for better care and would 100% trust Shabeena with my dogs again!

We had a great experience with Kelly watching our three dogs! She sent pictures, kept us updated, and treated them like family. You can tell that she is someone who genuinely loves animals. Leaving our pups with Kelly gave us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
