Sarah is the most phenomenal caring flexible and over and beyond pet sitter. Our cat had what we thought a minor medical issue happen literally two days before leaving for Europe. She agreed to give him medicine. However- after a few days- the issue grew more complex and vet attention was needed. Sarah took him and picked him up at vet and gave him new rx’s after home. This took a lot of extra time but she did it. I cannot give her enough praise. Our cat really liked her too and all her communication and pics were so helpful to us. Being overseas and worrying about this - Sarah was able to calm my nerves because of her care. Please do not look further for finding someone who will take care of your fur babies. She really does go over and beyond. I recommend her with all I can. Thank you Sarah!

About: I have a lifelong passion for animals. I have always held a strong belief of the importance of treating pets with care and respect. As a retired accountant, I bring a level of professionalism and reliability to any task I undertake.Having owned animals throughout my life and coming from a family of fosters my experience in animal care is extensive. I have personally trained my own dogs as well as those of my friends. My home is meticulously designed to be pet friendly ensuring a comfortable and safe environment. I have also cared for pets who are in need of close medical needs and have studied animal CPR.I I will be available most all days and times. Of course, I have the usual errands, appointments, and outside interests, but am never away for more than a couple of hours. I have a fenced yard with a lot of running room in the backyard. I have a doggie door so pets can relieve themselves on their own schedule. If your dog is not door trained, I can train them or take them out. I have a 13 year old Labrador retriever who is quite amenable to other pets (he mainly ignores them). There is plenty water available, but feedings are only on a schedule and in a private area. Lots of toys available. No bones, rawhide, or other questionably safe items.

She's a great communicator, timely, and proactive about getting needed information before we went out of town. She handled some unexpected events with grace, cleaned the floor of any muddy paw prints, and sent multiple check in photos daily. Would highly recommend!

About: I stand out because I care for pets the way I care for people — with gentleness, consistency, and a whole lot of love. I’m comfortable with puppies who need training, seniors who need slower days, and pets with unique personalities or quirks. I create a calm, home‑like environment and give each pet the kind of attention that helps them feel secure and happy. Pet care is naturally woven into my daily rhythm. I start and end my day with walks, check‑ins, and playtime, and I build my weekly schedule around giving pets consistent attention and structure. Whether it’s morning potty breaks, midday walks, or evening cuddle time, caring for animals fits seamlessly into how I plan my days. In my home, pets are treated like family. I make sure they have cozy resting spots, fresh water, regular potty breaks, and lots of playtime and affection. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their established routines so their pet feels completely at ease. I pay close attention to their comfort, energy level, and personality so I can give them care that feels familiar and reassuring.

About: My husband works full time while I am home with the dogs. But he works mornings and is home in the evenings! Most of my free time I am home loving on my fur-kids. If I could adopt every fur-baby out there that needs someone to love them, I would. But since I can't, I am trying to find ways to help! I have 4 resident Poms, Kenzie, Dippy, Starr, and Bandit. I also have one resident crested-Pom mix Brenner. I also have a few Foster Poms. We foster for Recycled Pomeranian's. No matter the temperament , breed, age, size, I love them all. I will treat your family member as if they were my own! I would love to take care of your baby for the day or for as long as you need. Your fur-kid(s) will be inside but will be taken out to potty and play outside frequently! We have a medium to large fenced in backyard. They are NEVER left alone while in the backyard. We have dog beds, toys, and crates as needed. You will need to supply the food. so your fur-kid will be comfortable with their own food. Also I can administer meds if needed. I hope you will let me watch your baby for you so he/she can have the time of their life being part of our family!

About: What sets me apart is how seriously I take caring for your pet—I treat them like they’re my own. I have a background working as a pharmacy technician and EMS training, so I’m very attentive, reliable, and comfortable handling situations that require extra care or quick thinking. I’m experienced with both puppies and senior pets, whether that means helping with basic routines and potty training or giving medications and moving at a slower, more comfortable pace. I also make it a priority to keep you updated with pictures and messages, so you always know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. Honestly, animals are a huge part of my life, so pet care fits into my routine really naturally. I love being around them, and I actually plan my days in a way that lets me give pets the time, attention, and consistency they need. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, it never feels like a chore—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. Making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and loved while you’re away is always my priority. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. During drop-in visits, I make sure they’re fed, have fresh water, get potty breaks, and of course plenty of attention and playtime. For walks, I make sure they get safe, structured exercise at a pace that fits their energy level. I’m very attentive to each pet’s needs, whether that’s giving medications, working on basic puppy routines, or taking extra time with senior pets who need a slower, gentler approach. I also respect your home, keep everything clean, and follow any instructions closely. I always send updates and pictures so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Richland Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Richland Hills with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
