About: I plan to treat any animal I watch as my own. I’ve had both dogs and cats throughout my childhood and still to today. I’ve mainly had medium to large dogs (65lbs-110lbs) and have also done my own training for my current dog. I’ve also worked with senior dogs who have required diapers, pee pads, and assistance moving. While I do not currently have a cat, I have interacted and watched/cared for multiple friends and family’s cats. I’m excited to interact with any animal I have the privilege of watching! I currently participate in contract work in another state so when I am off contract I have a large amount of free time (including weekdays and weekends). I would like to dedicate that time to helping others care for their animals. I currently own a large dog so I am unavailable to care for client’s pets in my own home. In a client’s home I intend to maintain any regular routines for the animal’s comfort. I will also keep the client informed of their animal’s status to ease any concerns while they are away.

I’d swing by and leash them to take them outside for a 5-10 minute walk and then administer medications and feed them dinner before leaving them situated the way my mom preferred. Pets can be messy but that’s not something I’m afraid of! I am currently homeschooling my three kids. So, my schedule is pretty flexible to stop by throughout the day. I can do morning, early afternoon and most evenings if needed. I don’t work a full time job so I have plenty of availability. I’d like to set up an initial meeting with the client so the animals can get to know me, as well as show me their routine. I will enter the home, being careful to close the door behind me and let the dog out to potty in the back, play for a 5-10 minutes, and let them back in the house. I can also take the dog for a walk if that’s preferred. Before leaving, I can check their water situation (feed if requested) and situate them to their owners preference. Upon leaving, I will ensure that all doors are locked behind me.
