About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, and bearded dragons since I was 13 years old for my family, Neighbors and others in my apartment complex. I handled feeding the animals, walking, playing with them, and basic care routine. I also have two of my own cats. I’m comfortable with different pets of different sizes, personalities and energy levels. My pet care fits well into my routine. I work at an elementary school Monday through Friday until 4:00 PM, so I am available on weekdays starting at 4:30 PM for walks, drop ins, or sitting. I am fully available on weekends with flexible hours. During the summer and school holiday breaks, my availability is limited, as I follow the school schedule. I currently provide pet care in my clients’ homes to ensure pets stay comfortable in their own environment and routine. At this time, I do not offer boarding in my home, as I live in an apartment and have two cats who do best without other animals in the space. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care needs. I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and stress free while maintaining their normal routine as much as possible

About: I might be new to this site but I’m not new to this. I’ve had dogs my entire life, have watched other people’s pets and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Caring for dogs has always been a part of my daily life, from energetic puppies to older dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own, keeping them safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. Whether that’s sticking to their routine, going on walks, playing, or simply providing companionship, I’ll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. Professionally, I spent several years managing multiple businesses and leading teams, where reliability, communication, and attention to detail were essential every day. You can expect prompt communication, regular photo updates, and dependable care from start to finish. My schedule is very flexible, allowing me to provide personalized care throughout the day. Whether your dog needs walks, potty breaks, playtime, meals on a consistent schedule, or simply companionship, I’ll make sure they receive the attention they deserve. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how they’re doing while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. My home is shared with three friendly, social dogs: Phoebe, a 7-year-old 5-pound Pomeranian; Daisy, a playful 1½-year-old 35-pound fox hound mix; and Leo, a gentle 9-year-old 35-pound Border Collie. All three are accustomed to other dogs and are crate trained, allowing me to safely separate dogs when needed for meals, rest, or quiet time. I have a securely fenced huge yard for supervised outdoor play and maintain a clean, pet-friendly home. Every dog is different, so I require a meet-and-greet before boarding or daycare to ensure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good fit. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely—including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special instructions—and provide regular photo updates so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. During walks and drop-in visits, I’ll care for your pet and your home with the same attention and respect I give my own.

About: I've had personal dogs for the last 10 years. I also volunteer at the animal shelter by walking dogs, playing with them in the play yard, providing enrichment, building confidence and giving lots of love and pets . I also started to foster from the shelter a year and a half ago and find it extremely rewarding. I am available all day on weekends and weekdays after 5pm to help with walks or drop ins. I work on a school schedule and am also available on holidays. Your dog(s) will get lots of pets and love with me. I am patient and will take my time if your fur baby needs a little time to open up. About: EXPERIENCE Professional experience in the dog boarding industry as well as 39 years of constant com*paw*nionship. I've only been 2 years of my entire life without a dog. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF MY DOGS My dogs live inside with me! They sleep at the foot of my bed on my bed (until I've had enough and nudge them off) and are employeed full time as my indoor shadow. It's a necessary expense!!! PERSONAL HISTORY/INSIGHT I'm a die-hard loyal companion to my pups bc they are to me first! Never surrendered a single one of my pets no matter the alternative road I faced! Moved and couldnt keep my dog? Didnt move. Approved on home under terms: No Dog, my reply, "my dog and me or deal breaker". I commit whole heartedly and for LIFE! How many people can say that and it be truth? I was the little girl who got untrusting strays to follow her home which I did by singing song from the little mermaid and Andrew Lloyd webber songs. <--yes...u read that right. They have always trusted me and warmed up to me extremely easily. WISDOM/RESILIENCE Growing up...a neighborhood dog almost ended my life and guess what....I learned a lot on what NOT to do and kept the bond strong. What happened to me didn't phase me. CONCLUSION I've always preferred the company of animals over people for many reasons. But don't judge me .... HIRE me. The friendship, respect, consideration and connection I can't help is of the absolute highest caliber. Period. I work from home and am extremely active. I'm an outdoorsy rebel who loves to explore the areas off the path. Hiking is how I stay going and sane. Dogs usually go with me. I care for them by being present and constantly engaged. I notice when they are laying on the floor and don't have something soft. I know the things to look for before a fight breaks out and I also know exactly how to get them to stop that does not risk either of the dogs or myself. *INSIDE THE HOME IS ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE DOING JUST THIS...HIS PET IS ACTUALLY IN THE PHOTOS. AND HE CAN PROVIDE REFERENCES UPON REQUEST!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 5 years and have experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve cared for senior dogs who needed medications, softened food, extra patience, and gentle handling to keep them comfortable. I understand how important routines are, so I’m happy to follow your dog’s feeding schedule, walking routine, medication instructions, and any special care they need. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a calm day with lots of cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll also send regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands. I work full-time as a Certified Surgical Technologist at Baylor Surgicare and am also a nursing student, so I understand the importance of responsibility, time management, and sticking to a routine. I’m off every Thursday and have the most availability on weekends since I don’t work then. Caring for pets fits well into my schedule, and I enjoy spending my free time walking, playing with, and giving dogs the attention they deserve. I’ll make sure your pet receives plenty of love, care, and updates while you’re away. When caring for your dog in your home, my priority is keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll carefully follow your feeding schedule, walking routine, medication instructions, and any special requests to ensure your pet feels comfortable while you’re away. I have experience caring for senior dogs that require medications and softened food, so I’m attentive to each dog’s individual needs. I’ll treat your home with the same respect I would my own and provide regular photo and message updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I’ve owned and cared for animals since I was a child. I’ve had cats, dogs, a rabbit, turtle, and even ducks! Recently, I’ve done drop-in visits for my mom’s elderly dogs. I’d swing by and leash them to take them outside for a 5-10 minute walk and then administer medications and feed them dinner before leaving them situated the way my mom preferred. Taking good care of our animals is something I take pride in including feeding them, administering medicines, playing and loving on them, as well as letting them out to the bathroom or cleaning litter boxes. Pets can be messy but that’s not something I’m afraid of! I am currently homeschooling my three kids. So, my schedule is pretty flexible to stop by throughout the day. I can do morning, early afternoon and most evenings if needed. I don’t work a full time job so I have plenty of availability. I’d like to set up an initial meeting with the client so the animals can get to know me, as well as show me their routine. I will enter the home, being careful to close the door behind me and let the dog out to potty in the back, play for a 5-10 minutes, and let them back in the house. I can also take the dog for a walk if that’s preferred. Before leaving, I can check their water situation (feed if requested) and situate them to their owners preference. Upon leaving, I will ensure that all doors are locked behind me.

About: I am a major animal lover, I often think I enjoy pets over humans at times . I will love your pet like my own. I enjoy going to different parks so your pet will have a fun time going on a walk. During boarding your pet will be treated like my own, if your fur baby has anxiety not a problem they will not be alone I allow dogs on my sofa and bed so if need be they will not sleep alone. Not potty trained ?? Not a problem, I am patient as know it is a process to everything so trust you puppy will be on the schedule we discuss as to not set them back while in my care . ! ! I love animals and always give them the care , exercise and love they need and deserve and I treat my dog as my child I walk him daily, and open fields to run . I stay away from dog parks but if your baby wants to go then I will take them. I have a fenced back yard and one French Bulldog that is my spoiled baby. He has his own room and space where he can go to sleep and play if he doesn’t not want to be bothered . I will treat your pet like my own .

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
