About: I have taken care of pets my whole life! From jumping spiders to 150 pound dogs. I am studying in college right now to become a veterinarian. I have always wanted to work and care for animals, I also volunteer at many shelters nearby and used to foster! So if you need anyone to walk, feed, pet, or even just to drop in and check on your pets I can do that! I am currently working at a restaurant part time so I have plenty of time on my days off to play with your pets! I have three dogs of my own and one cat so I know that pet care is a daily need. In your home I can follow any instructions you need from times your pet needs to be woken up, fed, play, walks, given medicine, and even time set aside for training! For both cats and dogs I have trained both of my pets! Or if your pet is create trained, I can make sure all of your house rules stay that for your pet!
“We had a wonderful experience. Lucho was very well taken care of, and we received updates and photos throughout the day, which gave us so much peace of mind. He can be shy at first, and the patience and kindness he received made a big difference. We will definitely book again and highly recommend!”

“Destiny was a great baby sitter for Chanel! She provided me updates & pictured throughout the day. I appreciate her taking such great care of Chanel today 🩷”

“We had a last minute change of plans and Kathleen was more than accommodating. She scheduled an impromptu meet and greet where she gave us a full tour of her home and backyard and she asked questions about Gizmo ! Today’s visit was perfect . Drop off was flawless , we got general pictures and updates and Gizmo was super excited at pickup ! We will definitely be back !”

About: I'm available all day to your furry friend! I am a stay at home wife with a consistent schedule and patient with all types of personalities. Being Rover, I've had experience from helping a mama cat give birth to her babies to senior dog care with medication. I love what I do and grateful to help owners feel at ease while they are away from their pets. I require that your pet be flea free and on a monthly flea and tick prevention. Make sure all immunizations are up to date. A clean pet is a happy pet! :) My priority in the morning is to make sure everybody is fed. (Not like they let me forget since they are the ones who poke my face to wake me up). I make sure the water bowl is clean and filled up. I am a stay-at-home wife so your furry friends will have all my attention. I'm usually cleaning, baking, cooking, gardening, or going on strolls/gym time. My husband is also a HUGE animal lover so your baby/babies will be getting 2x the love when he gets home. Usually at night, it's game time, movie time, or just hanging around with the cats. The cats usually always sleep with us, but if not, they sleep on the couch. I live in a three bedroom house with a big backyard, but one of the rooms is no pet allowed. My husband and I have a shaded patio that is gated with chicken wire so our cat friends can also enjoy the outside. The patio is separated with a gate-door, so if we are hosting a dog they can enjoy at the same time with no problems. The extra room we have allows our guest/s to have their own room with their own window. They are free to walk through the house and make themselves comfortable.

About: I have worked in a well renowned and amazing shelter & animal rescue (no kill shelter) for 5 years. I’ve got plenty of experience with both dogs and cats. I’ve also got certifications in fear free animal training, along with helping train many dogs for Leader dogs for the blind. I do have a dog of my own that is super good with other dogs, and cats. He’s a very chill guy. Please make sure that your dog is also good with other dogs if you are booking a boarding with me please, I’d greatly appreciate it! I’m recently moved to the area, and currently working part time. So I have a lot of extra free time, my time is very flexible. I consider animals family, so taking care of them properly how their family ask is very important in my eyes. So taking care of them will be followed directly as stated. 😊
About: We have owned & loved several dogs over the years including training 1 to be a viable therapy dog for nursing home visits to my mom. I am home most of the day, M-Sun and have the time to love and care for a dog, and make it feel at home, while dog parent(s) are away. Our dogs are considered our furry family members and I want your dog to feel that way too! My yard is fenced and our home is clean and safe! I ensure dog(s) can go out regularly for potty breaks, and I love walking them too.
About: I provide loving, attentive care for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to wise seniors. I excel at creating calm, joyful routines, ensuring exercise, companionship, and safety. House training? Patiently handled when needed. Every pup gets personalized love, attention, and care as if they were my own. Unless your dog has a special diet, kibble and treats will be provided 🐶 (if needed). Pet care is central to my daily and weekly routine. I structure my time around animal care, including my own pets, making availability and consistency a priority. Pets in my care are treated like family. I provide in-home care in a peaceful space with consistent routines, attentive supervision, affection, and respect for each pet’s unique needs.
“Megan was awesome and very welcoming. It was my first time using Rover and she made sure my 11 week old puppy had a comfortable stay and also got to play with her own puppy. When I picked her up she was a lot more confident and I could tell she had a fun time. Great stay and we will book doggy day care again for sure.”

“Brenda was awesome! Flexible with her time. Her daughter is truly a small dog lover. She cried when I left with my dog. She sent me photos and videos and I knew Lacey was in good hands. If I’m ever back in Texas Brenda would be the one I would call for a sitter.”

About: Choose me as your dog sitter for 23 years’ experience, EMT training, CPR certification, and true animal devotion, providing safe, dependable, loving care every single time. As a self-employed worker, I set my own hours, giving me the flexibility to provide pets consistent attention, care, and companionship throughout the day and night. I prioritize safety by following each pet’s routine, monitoring their behavior, and keeping spaces clean. I build trust through gentle handling, consistent communication, and a calm, comfortable environment.

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have owned dogs of all sizes and personalities—from Golden Retrievers and Terriers to Rottweilers. My home is currently shared with my two spoiled pups: a 4-year-old French Bulldog and a 2½-year-old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix, who are truly part of the family. Because I work from home full-time, your dog will receive plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to enjoy free roam of my home (with the exception of the couch, which is my one pet hair-free zone!). My dogs sleep in bed with me, and if that’s what your pup is used to, they’re welcome to join us. If your dog is more comfortable in a crate, I have extra crates available, so there’s no need to bring your own. I also have a securely fenced yard, allowing for frequent outdoor breaks, playtime, and exercise whenever needed. As an empty nester with an adult son serving in the military, my home is peaceful, quiet, and centered around providing a loving environment for the dogs in my care. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’ll care for your dog as if they were one of my own. I work full-time from home so your furbaby will not be alone and will not be crated unless that is what you prefer. Crating may be necessary if I need to leave, but I’m not away for more than a couple hours hours during the week, possibly up to 4 hours on a weekend. I always make sure I’m not away too long. My furbabies are rarely crated. I have a 1-story home with a fenced in backyard, so there is plenty of space. If I have to leave, I also have cameras to check on the pups. They will never be left outside as my babies are indoor dogs.

About: I might be new to this site but I’m not new to this. I’ve had dogs my entire life, have watched other people’s pets and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Caring for dogs has always been a part of my daily life, from energetic puppies to older dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own, keeping them safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. Whether that’s sticking to their routine, going on walks, playing, or simply providing companionship, I’ll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. Professionally, I spent several years managing multiple businesses and leading teams, where reliability, communication, and attention to detail were essential every day. You can expect prompt communication, regular photo updates, and dependable care from start to finish. My schedule is very flexible, allowing me to provide personalized care throughout the day. Whether your dog needs walks, potty breaks, playtime, meals on a consistent schedule, or simply companionship, I’ll make sure they receive the attention they deserve. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how they’re doing while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. My home is shared with three friendly, social dogs: Phoebe, a 7-year-old 5-pound Pomeranian; Daisy, a playful 1½-year-old 35-pound fox hound mix; and Leo, a gentle 9-year-old 35-pound Border Collie. All three are accustomed to other dogs and are crate trained, allowing me to safely separate dogs when needed for meals, rest, or quiet time. I have a securely fenced huge yard for supervised outdoor play and maintain a clean, pet-friendly home. Every dog is different, so I require a meet-and-greet before boarding or daycare to ensure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good fit. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely—including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special instructions—and provide regular photo updates so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. During walks and drop-in visits, I’ll care for your pet and your home with the same attention and respect I give my own.
“I had an outstanding experience. Her communication was excellent from start to finish—clear, consistent, and always reassuring. My dogs were so happy and relaxed when I got home, which tells me everything I need to know. She took amazing care of them, paid attention to all their little quirks, and made sure they were comfortable and loved the whole time. Truly a fantastic sitter. Highly recommend.”

“Monica is the best! Very prompt and courteous in replying to messages, and very personable overall. Our dogs had a blast with her, even our grumpy Frenchie! She is very experienced and adept at handling multiple dogs at once, and has systems for separating pups if needed. We will definitely be booking with Monica again for our doggy needs.”
About: Hi! My name is Angelica and I’m a dependable animal lover based in the DFW area. I understand how important it is to feel your pets are safe, cared for, and comfortable while you’re away. I provide attentive walks, detailed updates, and lots of patience and care for every pet as if they were my own. And if it helps, I also speak Spanish for those that need the translation. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I'm very organized with scheduling and communication, so I make time throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, feeding routines, play time, and giving pets the attention they need. I currently provide pet care through walks, drop-in visits, and in-home care at my client's home rather than boarding in my own home. During visits, I focus on making pets feel comfortable and care for in their familiar environment by following their normal routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding, freshwater, walks or potty breaks, play time, cleaning up after pets, and giving them attention and companionship.
“Thank you Steph and Calvin. Wonderful dog loving people and they took great care of my best friend. Being new to boarding, I was worried the separion anxiety might be too much, but I pulled through. Rinnie dog did even better, he was happy around Steph and Calvin from meetup all the way to pickup, where he had to circle back to say goodbye before leaving.”

Our Frenchie, Penelope, was well taken care of by Taylor! Our dog was loved on, played with and kept safe and we will definitely have Taylor watch her again in the future. We also received photos throughout the day of our dog which was a nice bonus. Highly recommend!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Saginaw commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
