About: I have been around pets all my life. I grew up on a farm with several different animals. Our family favorite has always been dogs. Now, I share that enjoyment with my kids. They love being around dogs too! We enjoy walking our own dogs and playing with them. Your pet would have a loving environment with lots of attention with us! I am a stay at home mom. About: Hi! My name is Yamilca, and I’m a lifelong fur baby lover with years of experience caring for pets. I’ve been a Rover customer for almost 6 years, so I understand firsthand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your furry family members. Fur babies have always been a huge part of my life. Over the years, I’ve cared for hamsters, bunnies, birds, cats, and dogs. I’ve always had a natural connection with them, and I genuinely enjoy making every fur baby feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m also a proud pet mom to a 14-year-old Shih Tzu mix who has been with me since he was 8 weeks old. He came to us from Puerto Rico and is truly part of our family. Because of his age and a seizure he experienced earlier this year, he has lost most of his vision and hearing. Caring for him has taught me a great deal about patience, senior pets, special needs, medication routines, mobility limitations, and the importance of paying close attention to changes in a pet’s behavior. I know that every fur baby is different. Some are energetic and playful, while others are shy, anxious, elderly, or simply need extra patience and reassurance. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs so they can feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I have 2 dog friendly pups. One large doodle who is gentle with small dogs and one senior, small doodle who provides cuddles and comfort to visitors. My dogs are family and guests are treated with extra care and attention. I'm home most days and usually only gone for a few hours. I do separate dogs and play calm music during this time. Dogs are on a regular, feeding and potty schedule as well as medication that might be needed. I have a variety of enclosures and a fenced yard. Dogs are introduced slowly and always supervised while inside and outside. If needed, I can provide a quiet space for shy, sensitive or special need pups. There is regular play that includes ball, puzzles, snuffle mat, kiddie pool, sprinkler and lots of squirrels to chase.

The cats usually always sleep with us, but if not, they sleep on the couch. I live in a three bedroom house with a big backyard, but one of the rooms is no pet allowed. My husband and I have a shaded patio that is gated with chicken wire so our cat friends can also enjoy the outside. The patio is separated with a gate-door, so if we are hosting a dog they can enjoy at the same time with no problems. The extra room we have allows our guest/s to have their own room with their own window. They are free to walk through the house and make themselves comfortable.

I can’t described with words how blessed we are having Iman taking care of my sweet old boy, I was so nervous because he has a few medical issues and she was wonderful, she did so great that on his last drop off Picasso would just run between and around her feets , he felt so safe and loved by her that you could tell just looking at him trying to get her attention. This was our first time taking Mirra to spend the day with Abigail and her lovely family. It went well! Abigail was so good about sending pictures during the day and notes. We'll plan on having Mirra spend time there again. Abigail is very good about seeing to her pets' needs. I think Mirra felt right at home, other than there were children in this home, who were very sweet to her!
