“Tainara is wonderful with my dog. She is very flexible with pickup and drop-off times. Tainara always attaches pictures from each day. She loves the dogs like her own. Great communication. Would highly recommend Tainara.”

“Reagan & Alan were such a perfect match for Juni. She spent the day with them yesterday & had a great time. We immediately got pictures & videos from them & continued to get them throughout the day. She came back home exhausted from playing so hard all day. Juni is looking forward to spending more time with them in the future!”
About: Ever since I was a child, I have grown up around dogs. Our childhood house was always the house where dogs were always welcome. Fast forward to my own house, own pups, and it’s the same hospitality. Our house is the ultimate doggy day care and hotel with a yard, doggy door (for those smarter pups), and local park to walk and play at. Safety is a top priority for my pup, and those I watch. I treat every dog like my own and know our precious babies are irreplaceable. PS, I’m the guy who plays dog tv for Ari, my golden retriever. Currently work from home with my wife. Plenty of free time to walk, fetch and snuggle. I live near the airport so we are an easy drop off for travelers. Our home is in a quiet neighborhood. We have a fenced yard with a tall fence. We have dog sat dogs of all sizes and tempers and have a good sense of social skills and situations. We have hosted up to 5 dogs in our house at once and know to separate social time from rest time.
“Paris was lovely to deal with. She responded quickly and was flexible with our needs. Benji was well looked after, and given his medication promptly. He seemed very comfortable in her home. I would happily use her services again.”

“Michael has been awesome with my dog. He is easy to communicate with to arrange drop off and pick up times. I get lots of picture and videos of my pup throughout the day.. it’s obvious she has a lot of fun playing with his dogs and she feels comfortable in his home.”

“Oh my goodness she’s so nice. My dog is exhausted. I will absolutely 100% User. Next time I need a sitter he came out happy if you were looking for a sitter or anything with dogs she’s awesome and she’s really funny.”

“This was my first time using Rover or even having someone keep my pup so I was slightly nervous . I found Donna on this app & I picked her based off reviews . I can honestly say I don’t regret having Donna babysit our pup . Donna was nothing short of amazing . She sent me updates hourly or every few hours , along with pictures . Donna made me feel like my pup was safe and well taken care of . After spending 4 days & 3 nights with Donna I can say I think my pup had a great time . My boy literally slept the whole day when he came home . My pup also came home with a bag of art work he did while over Donna’s , I thought that was the cutest thing . I will most definitely be taking my pup back to her soon . & again thank you Donna for babysitting & making the whole process a breeze . I appreciate you so much”

“Fiorella was great with our pup! She watched Murphy for several days and by the second day he was running up to Fiorella to greet her. I appreciated the quick responses and ability to meet up last minute for a meet and greet prior to dog sitting. It was a great relief to know Murphy was in a safe environment all day with plenty of attention!”

“Stefanie was so sweet! Greeted me & my pup so calmly, he adjusted so quickly. She sent me pictures and updates throughout the day, and didnt hesitate to notify me when he was limping (from a previous injury i forgot to mention), which is so nice to know. 10/10!”

“Karen was so flexible with time. I was late in picking up my dog cause I got lost and went all the way to Richardson before I realized I was going the wrong direction, and she was very understanding about it. I’m not saying you should be late. I’m just trying to show how easy to work with she is. She took our dog for a walk, and i love that i can see how long of a walk our dog had. And she seem to really enjoy taking care of fur animals. She also sent pictures. We will be forever repeat customers.”

“Zachary is awesome! Our Ava had a great first Doggy Day Care visit at Zachary's place! He did a great job introducing her to new friends slowly and one at a time to make sure everyone got a long and was safe. We REALLY appreciate his professionalism and loving care of all the dogs in his care. Ava will be back every week!”

About: What sets me apart is my combination of hands-on animal care experience, reliability, and genuine love for animals. I grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience caring for a variety of farm animals, which taught me responsibility, patience, and the importance of paying attention to an animal’s individual needs. Pet care is a part of my everyday life because I’m a pet owner myself. I currently have a French Bulldog, so I’m very familiar with the unique needs of brachycephalic breeds and understand the importance of monitoring their activity, breathing, and comfort. I’m currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Biomedical and Translational Sciences, and my summer schedule is relatively light, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks and drop-in visits. I have always loved animals and volunteered at my local animal shelter throughout my undergraduate studies, where I gained experience caring for dogs with a variety of personalities and needs. Providing pets compassionate care is something I genuinely enjoy. When caring for pets during drop-in visits and walks, I focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, and following their normal routine as closely as possible. During drop-ins, I can provide food and water, potty breaks, playtime, administer basic medications if needed, and give plenty of attention and companionship. For walks, I prioritize making sure they stay hydrated and comfortable, especially during the summer heat. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to treat every pet as if they were my own.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
