“Nyree and her husband are awesome!! I’m so glad I found them. This was our first time leaving our pup with anyone else and we can tell he had a blast at doggy daycare. He is exhausted after a day of fun and making new friends. We received multiple updates and pictures throughout the day, which made us feel extra comfortable. We will definitely bring him back when we need someone to care for him in the future!”

About: My pet-care journey began in 2019 after moving in with a friend who owned four adorable pugs and regularly fostered rescued pups. Ever since, friends and family have trusted me to walk, feed and care for their pets when they're away. And in 2024, I welcomed my own doodle into my life - caring for him has deepened my love for dogs in the sweetest way and look forward to treating your furry friend like family. ***REGULAR HOURS OF OPERATION*** 7 AM - 9 PM CST Note: Because I work from home, I have a flexible schedule and can host dogs during the week or on weekends. About: Fur babies are family! They need love and patience. Growing up I had a Pekingese for 13 years and then a poodle mix for 12 years. So I learned at an early age the responsibility of caring for the family pet. My first adult pet was a mini lob rabbit which I had for 10 years. It had some medical issues in which required regular care from the local vet. A few years ago I was introduced to Great Danes and immediately fell in love! Zoe, my twelve year old Dane lived her best life. She went to parks, family gatherings, car rides, camping. She passed away last year at the age of 12 1/2. I am not ready for another pet just yet and now that I have some free time I would love to give others the sense of security by playing, loving and caring for their pet. I'm recently retired and have a flexible schedule. With that flexibility I have the opportunity to check on your pets or provide over night care with short notices. I have a fenced yard with lots of room for your pet to lay in the sun, run, stretch and play! For over night stays a crate might be beneficial depending on your pets behavior and comfort. For day to day visits I will respect your property and pet and follow your guidelines to ensure our pet friendly visit is successful.
About: Caring for animals is my passion, and I have been providing dedicated pet care for over 10 years. I prioritize the comfort and happiness of every pet, treating them as if they were my own, and ensuring a safe, stimulating, and consistent routine. I manage the needs of high-energy breeds with active play and outings, maintain a clean and secure environment, and am vigilant in observing any signs of distress or health changes. I am CPR and First Aid trained. In emergencies, I remain calm, follow pre-discussed plans, and always have emergency contact information readily available. Witnessing their unique personalities and helping shy pets feel comfortable brings me joy. My kindness and empathy make me a great fit for caring for your beloved companions. I would love to use my pet-sitting, walking, and grooming skills to care for your dogs and cats! Available any time or day. Date night, work, sleep, jus need a break I’m here to help with your pets and would love the opportunity. Fenced in yard, treats and food , safe and clean house, plenty of toys and treats and care and anything extra they may need. Thanks
About: I've had a number of animals since the age of 4. From birds, and fish to Cats, dogs, and rabbits! I have always had a cat or dog in my home and I LOVE ANIMALS!!! I have house sat & boarded pets for 8 years now for friends, family, and neighbors. I treat them like my own and ensure that they're fed, get walked, lots of rubs, and everything I can to keep their usual routine! I'm currently not working and want to do something I love to stay busy. I have an open schedule to handle all your pets needs. I stay in a very spacious 3 bedroom home with yard space where they have plenty of room to roam. There are also parks near to release their energy. I currently have an open schedule. I always update my schedule to reflect any changes. I am very flexible at the moment. Once I have a pet job in place I try to focus on the pet/pets. It honestly depends on the animal. Different animals react differently with new people and different environments. If there's a shy dog, I like to let them come to me and lead with a gentle and dismissive approach. I would encourage them to play or come for pets, but I would not force it because that is not their comfort level. Another may be a big ball of energy and thrive on fun, pets, and praise. I like to make sure they're comfortable and happy.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Duncanville
It was a delight working with this couple. Although I would have liked to have met them both and gotten a tour of their place , Kevin’s was a total delightful person . Nyree was behind the screen doing all the communication and was spot on with her responses, timely videos as requested, and most appreciated flexibility with their schedule ! Hands down a comforting daycare experience for my big boy today ! Thank you Kevin & Nyree!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Karen takes incredible care of my dog, Minks! She is patient, loving, attentive, and truly treats her like family. I always feel comfortable leaving Minks in her care because I know she’s safe, happy, and well looked after. Karen goes above and beyond, and her genuine love for dogs really shows. I’m so grateful for the amazing care she provides.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
