Amanda sent updates multiple times throughout each day including feedings, water checks, litter box, snacks, play, and wellbeing. These updates included multiple photos reinforcing the updates. She was so thorough. Moreover, the house was clean and tidy upon returning. About: I have loved and handled pets/animals of all kind since I was a toddler with no fear in sight. Outside of my own pets, most of my family and friends have always had some sort of pet that I have watched or taken care of- dogs, cats, snakes, fish, turtles, ferrets, lizards, some of everything. They are very attentive towards Finn’s behavior and give me updates if they think something is off. They always include the most adorable pictures of the dogs running around, playing, or taking a well deserved nap. They are also super accommodating! I drive in from Dallas and they have been incredibly flexible when the weather turns foul or Dallas traffic rears its ugly head haha. Outside of my own pets, most of my family and friends have always had some sort of pet that I have watched or taken care of- dogs, cats, snakes, fish, turtles, ferrets, lizards, some of everything. My grandfather also had a farm with horses, chickens and cattle that my brother and I helped him take care of. I am a substitute teacher, so I don’t work everyday. This also means that I have the summer and holidays off so my flexibility is very high. If I am in someone else’s home caring for their pet, I follow all rules set by the owner for both the pet I’m watching and myself. If I am watching a pet at my home, I make sure everything is very neat and clean so there are no health hazards and they can’t get into things they shouldn’t.

About: Fur babies are family! They need love and patience. Growing up I had a Pekingese for 13 years and then a poodle mix for 12 years. So I learned at an early age the responsibility of caring for the family pet. My first adult pet was a mini lob rabbit which I had for 10 years. It had some medical issues in which required regular care from the local vet. A few years ago I was introduced to Great Danes and immediately fell in love! Zoe, my twelve year old Dane lived her best life. She went to parks, family gatherings, car rides, camping. She passed away last year at the age of 12 1/2. I am not ready for another pet just yet and now that I have some free time I would love to give others the sense of security by playing, loving and caring for their pet. I'm recently retired and have a flexible schedule. With that flexibility I have the opportunity to check on your pets or provide over night care with short notices. I have a fenced yard with lots of room for your pet to lay in the sun, run, stretch and play! For over night stays a crate might be beneficial depending on your pets behavior and comfort. For day to day visits I will respect your property and pet and follow your guidelines to ensure our pet friendly visit is successful.

I'm currently taking online classes over the summer, which means I'm home almost all of the time — so pets in my care are never left alone for long. My schedule is flexible and low-key, which means I can give dogs the attention, playtime, and consistency they deserve throughout the entire day. On the rare occasion I do step out, it's briefly for family activities or to take the dogs on a walk. Otherwise, I'm home and fully present. My home is set up perfectly for dogs — we have a fully fenced-in yard, so pups can run, play, and enjoy the outdoors safely without any worry. During their stay, dogs are kept close to me in my room for the majority of the time, so they always have company and I can keep a close eye on them. We do have two resident dogs in the home, but they are both friendly and well socialized — they've welcomed visiting dogs before without any issues, making the transition smooth and stress free for everyone. I always make sure to do a slow, supervised introduction between dogs to ensure everyone is comfortable before giving them free time together. Every pet's boundaries are respected and their safety comes first.
